Questions about buying a PSP

I just got an email from sony. The PSP model 3000 is now only 129.99.:thumbs:

I got mine at black friday, so they had the 129.99 bundle.

I got at 129.99 before it was cool.

I'm currently vacationing in HK right now and they have a PSP 3006, it's a nice orange colour. Do you guys know if this will work in North America?

Yeah, the games aren't region locked, so you'd be fine with it.

Thanx AF. What difference does the regions make? I'm in R1, will everything in the 3006 be the same as the regular 3000 software & XMD-wise?

I know you can't play UMD movies from any region except the one that matches your PSP, but at this point that's not something most people use theirs for anyway.

About the software... I dunno how the psp would handle system updates out of its region. :O
