The reason most people I know are excited is that there might be more characters than MUA1 through DL characters. I was kinda miffed that there were so few characters this time around.

Ah, my favorite X-Woman, right behind Jean Grey...and one of the nastiest characters in MvC2 in the right hands.
She can still manifest her telekinetic katana along with her psychic knives coming back. The Psylocke miniseries coming out next week will explain what she can and can't do now in regards to her current power set.
She's also a master martial artist, but it's never been specified exactly which fighting arts she's mastered.
Comic book ninjitsu. Which in comic terms is a catch all for, "Whatever the artists can draw".
In theory, since she worked for STRIKE (Europe's SHIELD division) she should have military training also.
