PSU Expansion

You know, the one coming in Fall '07?? :redface2: So would you need to buy the original and the expansion? Anyone looking forward to the new stuff? [I think this is old news at least >.>]

yeah, that's generally how expansions work. You have to own the original game in order for your expansion pack to work.

It's kinda old news but I dont think it's been discussed on the board. I'm not really looking forward to it. I thought the game was alright. The online play was not as fun as PSO, though. Even though there were three planets and multiple missions, often times people just wanted to grind for money which meant they wanted to grind the same level over and over again. And really, you could say "you dont have to party" and that's always true. This game you could solo (sort of. You wouldnt get very far very fast. In fact, soloing often became a waste of money if you couldnt heal yourself. Since you would be buying a bunch of potions or dying a lot. And dying meant you wasted a lot of time.)

So basically, if you can imagine running the same level over and over just to get exp and money, the game quickly became boring. There's an offline mode, thankfully, so I feel content in knowing that if I ever had a craving to play the game again I could just play story mode or offline mode to get my "fix".

Some of the levels and music were fantastic though! Man did I love Neudaiz (or whatever it was called) Best planet there. Not sure what they're adding in the expansion but hopefully it's more content than just clothes and weapons. When all you do is grind for money and exp, you get a little bored.

Yeah, I heard that the community in-game wasn't that great either.

I'm currently playing PSU in offline mode until I get my hard drive back and my neverending hell sorted out with the fucktard ISP known as Toucan...

BTW, did you know Erin Cahill aka "Jen" from Time Force does the voice of Karen Erra; the main female character from PSU's Story Mode in the English version?

I was watching the English language end credits [and I have to admit the end theme is enough to make anybody blub tears] and her name's there underneath the name of the guy who plays "Ethan Waber"; the main character in Story Mode....

BTW, I think that Hyuga and Nav [the Headmaster CAST dude] have really cool voices in the English versions as well and the dub isn't as bad as some people would make it out to be...]
