PROO- Home and Away Part 1 (Jetix.tv) Talk Up!

Part 2 is on Jetix.tv. Im sure thats old news but you know. I liked the whole "my gf died but now shes alive" plot when it was in SPD. They pulled it off a lot better in SPD, imo. The episode was ok. But what was up with the dramatic, almost evil-like, music that played as the Fearcats were being destroyed? Shouldnt happy/victory music be played during such a monumental achievement? Like, I dont know, a theme song?

It just felt so odd that the music was so dark during the Fearcats defeat. Like the rangers were doing something bad. Just an odd, odd choice of music. It makes me wonder wtf is going on in their heads sometimes.

How many episodes are left? Need to check Burgs site or something. Sounds like Kamdor and Mira are going down next. It honestly doesnt feel like we're nearing a finale but I guess we are. That's so odd. We're getting to the point where I stopped watching Boukenger so the footage coming up will be all new to me.

The few bits I did love were, again, with Mack and Hartford. Mack is now starting to call him "Mr. Hartford" instead of "dad". Powerful stuff..

"I know you're angry"
"Im not angry. Anger is an emotion; Something I dont have. If you dont like how Im acting, maybe you should upgrade the software."

Not exactly what was said but yeah. Great, great line.

I thought the music was fantastic. I didn't think it sounded dark at all, but epic that they've finally defeated one of the four groups of enemies.

Hm, I suppose you could see it that way. When I first heard it though, the choir and bits just sounded more dark than epic. Still, I would have preferred a fan fare track vs anything else for a monumental victory.

The lead up to the offing of the Fearcats was a bit weaker then the defeat of the Ashu.

But the actual killing of the Fearcats was better then what was done in Boukenger. I especially liked how each of the Rangers got a hit on one of them that was color-coded before Mack battlized his ass.

They edited Tyzone's fight a little bit I think. IIRC, Eijyasha stabbed his guy before slicing him down the middle. The PR version just has him hitting the fearcat with a crossing slash.

Other thing of note... Because Tyzonne was with his fiance and not his umm Mother, that whole sequence of events felt considerably less creepy and potentially icky then it did in Boukenger.

I'd say a thumbs up on this one.
