[Various scenes around the city are shown in a fly-over.]

NARRATOR:
During the late 1990‘s, a new energy source was sought to eventually replace fossil fuels. The algae oils from the common seaweed plant was found to be an excellent, abundant source of oils to use for energy consumption. In 1999, with the global fear of the Y2K phenomenon looming, the Genesis Bureau was created to oversee this energy source, Synthoil. On Christmas Day 1999, a computer system controlling the Synthoil developed a sentient virus, and went rogue when he could not implement a plan to take over mankind, and create a world for machines. When the lead researcher saw no other way of purging the virus, he transported the entire research complex into Cyberspace to stop the virus and protect humanity. Knowing that the virus could return someday, the Genesis Bureau recruited three young individuals, and trained them in advanced tactics to become chosen warriors to fight the virus and save humanity once more. Sixteen years later, Trojus has found a way to return.

EXT.-CITY-DAY (one month ago)
[On a seemingly peaceful day, a green sphere appears near a Synthoil tank. Various citizens look up, not knowing what to think of the sight. Out of the sphere comes a Type Beta ViraBot, which is joined by other Type Betas and some Type Alphas. Upon the ViraBots landing, all sorts of chaos and destruction are caused. The citizens scream and run in fear. The ViraBots then converge and surround a Synthoil tank, and open fire to make it explode. The ripple effect of the explosion causes massive damage to the city.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Commander Benjamin “Ben†Hightower is told by an officer of what happened in the city.]

OFFICER:
Commander...the Vyrix have attacked the city. They blew up a Synthoil tank.

COMMANDER BENJAMIN HIGHTOWER:
Initiate Project: Ultratech immediately.

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-DAY (present day)
[A talking motorcycle arrives with a briefcase that has the letters “GB†on it, and tries to get the attention of a resident, named Xavier.]

CHEETAH:
Xavier! Xavier! It’s arrived!

[Xavier is frozen in place after seeing a picture of a chicken in the newspaper.]

Uh, he froze up again!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[It seems to be a quiet peaceful day. Near a skyscraper, two young adults are on crane-hooks. A male in blue, Joshua “Josh†Grier is using a camera, the Tech Cam...and the female in yellow, Isabella “Izzy†Frost with a pair of binoculars, the Tech Specs...and are both spying on suspicious activity in a suite of the building.]

voice of COMMANDER BENJAMIN HIGHTOWER:
Your mission is to determine if a potential Synthoil leak at Point C-five three one is accidental, or the work of the Vyrix. If it is accidental, the proper authorities will be notified...but if it is the work of the Vyrix, you have the authority.

[The two see people in tan jumpsuits in the suite.]

ISABELLA “IZZY†FROST:
It appears to be the Vyrix, Josh.

JOSHUA “JOSH†GRIER:
Agreed. Let’s go!

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Two human males, Ben and his new Lieutenant, Marcus “Marc†Hughes along with two robotic beings, known as the Anidroids, Gorilla and Rabbit in blue and yellow respectively, keep tabs on the situation. Ben consults with Marc as the two Anidroids watch a monitor.]

EXT.-CITY-BUILDING-SUITE-DAY
[Josh and Izzy prepare to take action. Izzy eats some candy to perk up her energy. The two then convert their devices into the Tech Blaster and Tech Dagger, and toss them upward. The crane hooks sway the two toward the building.]

INT.-CITY-BUILDING-SUITE-DAY
[The two operatives crash through the suite’s glass windows, surprising the “humans†in tan jumpsuits, and prepare to battle them.]

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-LIVING ROOM-DAY
[Xavier un-freezes, and falls to the floor. He puts the paper down, and recovers to his feet.]

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-GARAGE-DAY
[Cheetah transforms into a humanoid form. He then rushes inside to where Xavier is.]

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-LIVING ROOM-DAY
[Cheetah runs in with the briefcase, and shows it to his partner, who immediately recognizes it.]

INT.-CITY-BUILDING-SUITE-DAY
[Two of the “humans†use blasters to open fire on the two operative, who take cover behind two chairs. The two then activate a wrist-mounted device, the Tech Morpher, and come out from their cover spots, and charge at the “humans.â€]

JOSHUA “JOSH†GRIER AND ISABELLA “IZZY†FROST:
It’s Morphin’ Time!

[While the morphing is in progress, the two flip over a table, and peaks the interest of one of the “humans†in white sunglasses. During the transformation, Josh releases a remote camera, and the two put on their helmets.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Josh Grier, Blue Ultratech Ranger!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Izzy Frost, Yellow Ultratech Ranger!

[The two rangers use common dis-arming techniques on the “humans.â€]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Drop your disguises!

[All of the “humans,†except the one with white sunglasses drop their disguises, to reveal that they are really Vyrix operatives...the Phishers, and soon, both sides charge into battle.]

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-LIVING ROOM-DAY
[Xavier opens up the briefcase to find his Gear Box, Tech Morpher, a manual, and his uniform.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
Oh, my!

INT.-CITY-WYATT HOUSEHOLD-GARAGE-DAY
[Cheetah reverts into his cycle mode, as Xavier hops on. He puts on his helmet and sunglasses, then prepares to ride.]

CHEETAH:
Let’s go!

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
Yeah, Let’s do this!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Xavier rides deeper into the city.]

EXT.-CITY-BUILDING-ROOF-DAY
[On the roof, the Blue and Yellow Rangers battle the Phishers with their Tech Daggers, then the two tap their Gear Boxes.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER AND YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Tech Blaster!

[The rangers defeat the Phishers, then turn their attention to the “human†with white sunglasses, who is trying to escape. The rangers meet him on a helipad.]

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Going somewhere?

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Why don’t you drop your disguise as well.

[The “human†twitches his hand, and reveals snake-like tendrils from his hands. The “human†drops his disguise, transforms his outfit into a trenchcoat as the two rangers take cover.]

HACK:
Ce Va? I am called Hack...the avatar of the majesty, Trojus...the glorious leader of what you humans call the Vyrix Empire.

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Majesty? We do not have a monarchy in this country!

HACK:
Trojus is the monarch of Cyberspace.

[The rangers have their blasters aimed at Hack, who fires off his tendrils again, and the rangers blast the tendrils while Hack uses the diversion to escape. The two still keep their guard up, but relax once the coast is clear.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
He’s gone!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Where’d he go!?

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Ben presses a button to stow the monitor in the ceiling.]

COMMANDER BENJAMIN “BEN†HIGHTOWER:
Lieutenant...how much Synthoil has been siphoned so far?

LIEUTENANT MARCUS “MARC†HUGHES:
About six hundred thousand trons...that’s roughly enough to power the city for one year.

[Ben ponders what Hack said to the rangers.]

COMMANDER BENJAMIN “BEN†HIGHTOWER:
(pondering)
Soon, two rangers will not be enough.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Xavier stops for a brief rest on a bridge as he looks out to the sea.]

CHEETAH:
What would your sister think? You know she’ll be upset.

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
I’ll be the one to tell her.

CHEETAH:
You need to let her down gently. You always tend to have issues with sensitivity.

[Xavier hops back onto the cycle, and puts his sunglasses back on.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
Thanks for telling it like it is. Let’s go!

[A bit later, Xavier drives the cycle onto the road toward where his sister is.]

CHEETAH:
Okay...turn left.

[Xavier turns right.]

Where are you going?

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
The hospital is this way. You do tend to have a bad sense of direction.

CHEETAH:
Thanks for telling it like it is.

EXT.-CITY-CONSTRUCTION YARD-DAY
[Hack patches his backpack to his laptop, and presses a couple buttons.]

INT.-CYBERSPACE-DAY
[Hack talks with his leader, Trojus.]

HACK:
Allo, allo, allo! My majesty! We had a little problem earlier...two...humans showed up, and transformed into Power Rangers to spoil our plans.

TROJUS:
Power Rangers!? Make the human race suffer!

HACK:
Oui, oui, oui! Leave it to me!

[Hack presses the “ESC†(escape) button on his laptop to return to reality.]

EXT.-CITY-CONSTRUCTION YARD-DAY
[Hack inserts another USB cord to his laptop, and places the other end of the cord onto a power-shovel. The piece of equipment in infected with a virus when Hack slides a Viracard into the card reader of the laptop.]

SHOVELDROID:
Shoveldroid!

INT.-CYBERSPACE-DAY
[The action in reality patches the new Viradroid to Cyberspace, and also programs a Type Beta ViraBot into the ShovelBot.]

EXT.-CITY-CONSTRUCTION YARD-DAY
[The Synthoil in the backpack is absorbed into Shoveldroid.]

HACK:
Now go make some humans suffer!

[Shoveldroid begins to move away from Hack.]

Let the festa begin!

[Shoveldroid uses his bucket arm to swipe a piece of a trailer away, leaving a gaping hole.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[A young woman enters the room.]

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
(in a British dialect)
Hello, Commander, sir...I am Doctor Sasha Mansfield...I was just transferred to Command...

[Sasha is then interrupted by an alarm.]

LIEUTENANT MARCUS “MARC†HUGHES:
(with a sense of urgency)
Got an abnormal Synthoil reading...it’s a Viradroid!

COMMANDER BENJAMIN “BEN†HIGHTOWER:
Sorry, doc...formalities will have to wait for now. With every Viradroid comes a ViraBot. Doctor...Check for a subspace incursion.

[Soon, Josh and Izzy run into the room, see that Gorilla and Rabbit are a bit afraid...especially Gorilla. The two grab their holsters, and move toward the chute system. Josh and Izzy gear-up into their sunglasses as the chute doors close.]

RABBIT:
Joshua and Isabella have trained their entire lives for this moment.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Shoveldroid attacks the city to make citizens flee in fear. It then uses it’s bucket arm to chop off the front of a parked car. Meanwhile, Josh and Izzy race through the chute system tunnels. TO BE CONTINUED...]

[Shoveldroid attacks the city to make citizens flee in fear. It then uses it’s bucket arm to chop off the front of a parked car. Meanwhile, Josh and Izzy race through the chute system tunnels. Soon, a hatch-like door opens up behind a billboard, with Josh and Izzy running out of it to go to the scene. The two operatives discard their sunglasses, and turn the dial on their Tech Morphers to transform.]

JOSHUA “JOSH†GRIER AND ISABELLA “IZZY†FROST:
It’s Morphin’ Time!

[The button on the end of the device is pushed, allowing orangish-yellow sunglasses to pop upward. A green digital code surrounds each operative going from toe to head. The two put the device to their eyes.]

Let’s Morph!

[The command activates the helmet and visor for the suits.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
(posing)
Blue Ultratech Ranger!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
(posing)
Yellow Ultratech Ranger!

BOTH RANGERS:
(posing)
Let’s Go!

[The rangers tap their Gear Boxes to summon their weapons.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Tech Blaster!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Tech Dagger!

[The two rangers prepare to battle Shoveldroid as it fires laser pellets from it’s left-handed fingers to blast them. The rangers dodge, and strike back with their Tech Gear, and overpower the Viradroid.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Sasha uses her computer to activate the Cyberspace monitors. She quickly detects an impending incursion, which will break through in three and a half minutes.]

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD;
Got a Cyberspace incursion detected...three point five minutes!

RABBIT:
Rangers...impending incursion in three and a half minutes!

voice of YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Got it!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Shoveldroid tries to swing it’s bucket arm at the Yellow Ranger, but she uses her power to jump back. She then checks her morpher, it has three minutes and fourteen seconds on it. When the rangers’ guard is down, Shoveldroid uses the opportunity to fire it’s finger lasers again, forcing the two rangers to dodge. The two rangers charge in to battle again.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Get it!

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Marc inquires to Ben.]

LIEUTENANT MARCUS “MARC†HUGHES:
Has the third ranger arrived yet?

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
(shocked and surprised)
A third?

RABBIT:
Another boy with powers like Josh and Izzy.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Yellow Ranger leaps over a car to combat the Shoveldroid with her Tech Dagger. The Blue Ranger then fires his Tech Blaster. The two continue to dodge the Viradroid’s bucket arm swings. The Blue Ranger tries to get off a shot, but has to dodge Shoveldroid’s finger lasers, and takes cover behind a table.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
You know, this would be a good time for the “third ranger coming to save the day†routine!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
He won’t be coming, Josh...he’s too wrapped around his sister’s finger! Besides...we’re managing this guy by ourselves!

[The Yellow Ranger charges from behind, and leaps up to attack. She then comes down onto the Viradroid with her dagger. Two minutes left.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-WIND 4F-PATIENT ROOM-DAY
[A young female draws on a tablet while in bed. The woman is Julie Wyatt, Xavier’s twenty-eight year old sister. She is in the hospital being treated for exhaustion and will be able to go home the next day. In the room also, is her brother.]

JULIE WYATT:
Something is on your mind, bro. What is it?

[Xavier is looking at the television, and it shows the Viradroid attack, and the two rangers fighting it.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
(pulling down his jacket sleeve, revealing his morpher)
I’m going to join the other rangers. I cannot allow the Vyrix to conquer our reality.

JULIE WYATT:
You...you can’t! You’ll get hurt out there!

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
My mind is made up, sis. I’m doing this for Mom and Dad. Thanks for keeping me safe all these years.

JULIE WYATT:
(stunned, a bit upset)
I do not approve of you joining the Genesis Bureau...but I will support you in your dream.

[Soon, Cheetah enters the room.]

You keep him safe, Cheetah!

[Cheetah agrees as the two leave the room.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The two rangers continue to battle Shoveldroid using their Tech Gear.]

EXT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-DAY
[Xavier exits the building, having already suited up into his uniform. He then hops onto the cycle, and departs.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[With thirty seconds left, the two rangers keep battling Shoveldroid. The final seconds tick down.]

voice of DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
Five...four...three...two...one! Incursion in progress!

[The ShovelBot arrives in the city, erupting a huge fireball. It then uses it’s gigantic bucket arm and equally large manipulator claw cause mass chaos and destruction as the Shoveldroid tries to mow-down the two rangers...but they quickly dodge out of the way.]

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Whoa!

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
This droid’s tough!

[As the Shoveldroid keeps the rangers busy, the ShovelBot moves toward the nearest Synthoil tank, and takes a swing at it, breaching it’s third armor layer.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[The base receives a distress signal from the Synthoil tank.]

LIEUTENANT MARCUS “MARC†HUGHES:
Sir...we’re receiving a distress signal from the tank!

COMMANDER BENJAMIN “BENâ€HIGHTOWER:
(looking at the eager Anidroids)
You guys cannot get there in a reasonable amount of time.

[Suddenly, Xavier’s voice is heard.]

voice of XAVIER “X†WYATT:
Command...this is Xavier...I am aware of the situation...please launch the Cheetah Techzord!

COMMANDER BENJAMIN “BEN†HIGHTOWER:
Welcome back, “X!†Launch the Cheetah Techzord immediately!

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-HANGAR-DAY
[The Cheetah Techzord in Vehicle Mode is launched.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[A tall building leans over, allowing the Techzord to launch from the top. The zord travels down a street as the ShovelBot continues to attack the Synthoil tank while the two rangers have their hands full with the Shoveldroid. Suddenly, Xavier arrives on, and presses his Gear Box to summon a Tech Blaster. He then executes a jump, and fires the weapon at the Viradroid. The blast damages it’s optical receiver as Xavier lands, and does a u-turn.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
I’ll handle the big bot!

[Xavier revs up his cycle, and takes off.]

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
(as she and Blue continue fighting)
He really came!

[On the street, Xavier rides his cycle, and prepares his morpher by turning the dial, and ditches his sunglases.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
It’s Morphin’ Time!

[The button on the end of the device is pushed, allowing orangish-yellow sunglasses to pop upward. A green digital code surrounds the operative going from toe to head. He then puts the device to his eyes.]

Let’s Morph!

[The command activates the helmet and visor for the suit.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
(posing)
Red Ultratech Ranger!

[Suddenly, the Techzord turns a corner, getting behind the Red Ranger and the cycle. A ramp then sticks out, and the Red Ranger and the cycle back into the zord. Both the Red Ranger and Cheetah get into position, and get comfy in the cockpit.]

Cheetah Techzord...online!

CHEETAH:
Ranger and Anidroid interface, fully operational.

[A head emerges from the front grille of the zord. The Red Ranger then activates the running board cannons to blast the ShovelBot to get it’s attention away from the tank. The Red Ranger then presses “C-B-4“ on a computer panel to initiate the zord’s Megazord Mode.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Cheetah Techzord...Megazord Mode!

[Standing at over one hundred twenty-five feet tall, the zord activates some thrusters on it’s back to quickly get to the ViraBot, then leaps up to sucker-punch it upside the head upon landing. The two robots come face-to-face at a close distance.]

Let’s see what’cha got!

[The megazord uses it’s right leg to kick the ShovelBot, then both trade punches. The ViraBot launches missiles at the zord, forcing the robot to fly around and dodge some of them.]

I’ll see that, and raise some of our own missiles! Fire!

[The megazord launches a volley of four shoulder missiles, then the Red Ranger sees part of a damaged skyscraper falling over.]

Oh, no!

[The Red Ranger immediately pilots his zord to the building, which is still occupied. Meanwhile, the other two rangers continue battling the Shoveldroid.]

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
I’m getting tired of this droid!

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Let’s finish him off quickly!

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Yeah!

[The megazord turns around, only to meet more missiles from the ShovelBot.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Let’s get closer to inflict lots of damage on that thing! Plan a direct route to it!

CHEETAH:
Got it!

[The megazord runs toward the ShovelBot as it fires more missiles, this time with explosions.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Animal Mode!

[The large robotic cheetah runs the streets and around buildings, then leaps up onto the ShovelBot’s head, and bites it to take it down. Meanwhile, on the ground, the two other rangers use their Tech Blasters, and aim them at Shoveldroid. The Techzord goes back into it’s megazord form.]

Tech Saber! Let’s finish him!

[The Red Ranger turns the dial on his morpher to activate the megazord’s finisher.]

Cheetah Tech Strike!

[On the ground, the other two rangers turn the barrels on their gear to blast the Shoveldroid into oblivion.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER AND YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Tech Blast!

[The megazord’s sword charges up in green as it executes the finisher, slicing the ViraBot. The Shoveldroid cackles in red energy bolts before collapsing and exploding as the ShovelBot explodes in the background. As the megazord lands, rocks and debris get kicked up.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Enemy shutdown...confirmed.

[The megazord poses victoriously. A helmet-holding Josh and Izzy watch inventively. In the cockpit, Xavier takes off his helmet too.]

The Vyrix will be defeated!

[On a nearby rooftop, out of view, Hack watches as his first Viradroid and ViraBot go down in defeat. On the laptop, Hack is in contact with Trojus.]

voice of TROJUS:
Those rangers shall pay dearly for their insolence!

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Sitting in his command chair, Ben isn’t very happy that the Vyrix have stepped up their game...but knows that his rangers are the only hope.]

[The Blue and Yellow Rangers are in their zords (in Vehicle Mode), cleaning up debris from the destroyed ShovelBot from the city.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Xavier meets with Ben, face-to-face, and have been talking. Suddenly, the alarm rings out.]

LIEUTENANT MARC HUGHES:
I am getting a Synthoil leak at Point E-One-Four-Seven!

[Josh and Izzy run in, and Ben gives the trio their assignment;]

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
This is your first time out together, isn’t it? There is a Synthoil leak at Point One Forty-Seven. Move out!

[The three operatives salute their commander, and head for the chutes.]

EXT.-CITY-SYNTHOIL STATION-DAY
[Josh and Izzy watch as Xavier rides Cheetah into the station. An attendant comes out of the garage.]

XAVIER WYATT:
(as he gets off of Cheetah)
Fill ‘er up!

[The attendant grabs the hose and nozzle, and sticks the nozzle into Cheetah. Meanwhile, Xavier scouts around for any signs of the Synthoil leak. On a nearby roof, Izzy uses her Tech Specs to locate the leak as Josh uses his Tech Cam to confirm. Suddenly, a poultry truck with live chickens pulls in for Synthoil.]

Oh, no! Of all times...why now!?

[Xavier freezes up.]

INT.-CITY-SYNTHOIL STATION-GARAGE-DAY
[Hack, disguised as a worker, has his backpack and laptop hooked up to several power cables. Josh gets closer to the garage, and sees the enemy.

JOSH GRIER:
(calling the others, with a Tech Dagger in hand)
Guys... trouble in the garage area...it’s Hack!

EXT.-CITY-ROOFTOP-DAY
[Izzy goes for a piece of candy, but is not finding any, and radios Josh...as does Cheetah.]

IZZY FROST:
I’m sorry...it’s a no go...forgot my sweets!

INT.-CITY-SYNTHOIL STATION-GARAGE-DAY
[Josh continues to surveil Hack.]

voice of CHEETAH:
Xavier’s frozen up again! It’ll be about five minutes before he’s unfrozen!

JOSH GRIER:
Unbelievable!

[Hack unleashes his tentacles, and tries to attack Josh, who must dodge the attack.]

HACK:
(ditching his disguise)
Well, well, Blue Ranger! Come out and play!

[Josh comes out of hiding, and tosses his sunglasses to the side.]

JOSH GRIER:
Hack! What are you up to!?

HACK:
Just collecting some old, leftover Synthoil for my boss.

JOSH GRIER:
(as he prepares his morpher)
Trojus has all he needs to survive in Cyberspace. It’s Morphin’ Time!

[The Blue Ranger suit forms over Josh’s body, but before he can activate the visor, Hack grabs the Blue Ranger’s left wrist with his tentacles. He then uses his powers to overpower the enemy.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Morph In!

[The visor is activated and the Blue Ranger charges in with his Tech Dagger, and battles Hack, who dodges the ranger.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Gorilla is worried about Josh...as usual.]

GORILLA:
Oh, no! He’ll overheat for sure! He can’t fight him alone!

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
I don’t understand...what’s wrong with them?

RABBIT:
It’s their weakpoints. Xavier freezes when he sees a chicken...Izzy needs to consume sweets to keep her metabolism up...and Josh overheats.

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
You make them sound like they are computers?

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
In a way, they are.

EXT.-CITY-ROOFTOP-DAY
[Izzy reaches into her last pocket, and finds one piece of candy, and eats it.]

EXT.-CITY-SYNTHOIL STATION-DAY
[Cheetah reverts to his humanoid form as the attendant puts the hose back.]

CHEETAH:
I promise to pay you later!

[Cheetah picks up Xavier, and runs away from the poultry truck.

EXT.-CITY-SYNTHOIL STATION-GARAGE-DAY
[The Blue Ranger continues to battle Hack, who continues to use his tentacles, even when the ranger swings around on some bar like a gymnast. A tentacle then wraps around the ranger’s ankle to bring him down, and Hack reel him in.]

HACK:
Got you, Blue!

[Suddenly, someone blasts Hack...it’s Izzy with her Tech Blaster.]

IZZY FROST:
Sorry, I’m late!

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Nope...you’re right on time!

[Hack cracks on of the tentacles to vanish. Izzy and the Blue Ranger investigate as Cheetah runs in with a frozen Xavier, who un-freezes.]

Power Down!

[The Blue Ranger suit vanishes from Josh’s body.]

JOSH GRIER:
That’s some weakpoint you got there, “X!â€

XAVIER WYATT:
(a bit ashamed)
I know. Sorry, It’s my fault he got away.

IZZY FROST:
(angry)
Your fault!? I was held up too.

XAVIER WYATT:
Sorry! I didn’t know!

[Izzy storms off in a huff.]

JOSH GRIER:
As the oldest...I think I better keep an eye on them.

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[At the base, Josh cools off as Gorilla massages his shoulders.]

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
Commander...what exactly happened sixteen years ago?

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
(turning his chair around to face the doctor)
Since you work here now, it’s time that you know.

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU FACILITY-DAY
[Scenes play out as the Commander tells Sasha of what happened.]

voice of COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
Christmas Day, nineteen ninety-nine...sixteen years ago, there was a global fear of the phenomenom, “Y-two-K." At a Genesis Bureau facility outside the city that specialized on transport technology...it even had it’s own Synthoil supply tank. Just after Xavier’s father supervised a test, the computers at the facility were infected by a super virus.

[Trojus seizes all the computers at the facility, and all the electronic things go berserk.]

The operations room of the facility, under the direction of Mister Wyatt wanted to transport the entire facility into Cyberspace to prevent the virus from infecting every single computerized gadget on the planet. The whole complex was soon transported into Cyberspace as the three rangers and their Anidroid partners were transported outside of the complex.

[The three youngsters and their Anidroids look over a huge crater. Young Izzy is bawling. Young Xavier takes her hand as Young Josh kneels beside her.]

YOUNG XAVIER:
I’m sure there is a way to get them back. We’ll make things right!

voice of COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
Xavier lost both of his parents, and Izzy lost her mother. Xavier’s father was my supervisor back then. Mister Wyatt was a brilliant scientist. At that time, Xavier was seven...Josh, fifteen, and Izzy was only three. That virus grew into Trojus.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Hack, comes back into reality from Cyberspace, and is disguised as a welder. He walks over to a gas cylinder tank, and sticks the other end of the patch-cable onto the piece. The piece of equipment in infected with a virus when Hack slides a Viracard into the card reader of the laptop.]

FIREDROID:
Firedroid!

INT.-CYBERSPACE-DAY
[The action in reality patches the new Viradroid to Cyberspace, and also programs a Type Alpha ViraBot into the FireBot.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Xavier and Izzy run in as the alarms ring out.]

LIEUTENANT MARC HUGHES.
Abnormal Synthoil reading...Point “G†One-One-Six

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
(monitoring her computer)
The ViraBot will arrive in eight minutes, forty-five seconds!

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
Go, rangers!

XAVIER WYATT:
(putting on his sunglasses as he and the other two run for the chutes)
Let’s make this quick!

[The chute doors close.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Firedroid has already started burning down parts of the city as citizens flee in fear. A fire engine rushes down the street with lights flashing and sirens blaring, even past other firefighters putting out another blaze. A hatch opens, and the operatives exit.]

IZZY FROST:
Wait...â€Xâ€...what made you want to join us?

XAVIER WYATT:
I had a promise to keep...to you. I’m sure there is a way to get them back. We’ll make things right!

[Xavier then rushes in, followed by the others to battle a group of Phishers with their Tech Gear after ditching their shades. Xavier uses his powers to rush to another group of Phishers to battle them as Josh picks up one to hurtle it towards others. Izzy then leaps up to blast a few minions with her Tech Blaster. Soon, all of the Phishers are destroyed. Xavier then rushes toward the Firedroid.]

IZZY FROST:
He remembered!

[Izzy eats a piece of candy, and runs into battle, followed by Josh. The Firedroid uses his flamethrower, forcing Xavier to dodge and roll out of the way. With just six minutes left, Xavier readies his morpher.]

XAVIER “X†WYATT:
It’s Morphin’ Time!

[As Firedroid blasts fireballs at Xavier, the button on the end of the device is pushed, allowing orangish-yellow sunglasses to pop upward. A green digital code surrounds the operative going from toe to head. He then puts the device to his eyes.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Morph In!

[The command activates the helmet and visor for the suit. The Red Ranger then runs toward the Firedroid as the other two operatives rush in morphing. The Red Ranger kicks the Viradroid into a burning, parked car, moving the vehicle a few feet.]

ALL RANGERS:
Let’s go!

[With five minutes left, the rangers charge into battle. Firedroid tries to burn the rangers to a crisp using his flamethrower, but the Blue and Yellow Rangers dodge as the Red Ranger uses his power to rush the droid, and battles it with hand-to-hand combat, followed by the Blue Ranger using his power to pound the ground, and Yellow Ranger taking the droid down. Firedroid tries to use it’s flamethrower again, but is blasted by a Tech Blaster-wielding Red Ranger. The Blue Ranger summons his dagger as the Yellow Ranger summons her blaster. As the Blue and Yellow Rangers battle the droid, the Red Ranger summons his dagger, and combines it with the blaster to form his SuperTech Buster.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
SuperTech Buster! SuperTech Burst!

[The Red Ranger blasts Firedroid to make it cackle in red energy bolts. It then collapses and explodes.]

ALL RANGERS:
Commander...launch the Techzords!

[Soon, all of the Techzords exit their hatches. Soon, the FireBot arrives in the city, and uses it’s chest-mounted flamethrower to set buildings ablaze. As the Gorilla and Rabbit Techzords help the citizens, the Cheetah Techzord in Animal mode moves in to battle the FireBot, who releases two PhisherBots.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Let’s get these two losers first.

[The Cheetah Techzord in Animal Mode leaps up to bite the two PhisherBots into oblivion...they cackle in red energy bolts, and explode behind a posing Cheetah. Meanwhile, the Gorilla Techzord works on evacuating citizens as the Rabbit Techzord drops water to dose the flames. The Cheetah Techzord then goes into it’s Megazord Mode as the FireBot arrives at a Synthoil tank, and tries to burn through the tank.]

Let’s put out this guy’s fire!

[The megazord lands, and kicks up a lot of debris to interrupt the ViraBot. FireBot uses it’s flamethrower again, but the megazord leaps up to grab the Tech Saber. The robot then flies through the flames to attack the ViraBot as the temperature in the cockpit rises to critical levels as an alarm rings out.]

CHEETAH:
Xavier! It’s getting too hot in here!

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
We’re almost there, pal! Cheetah Tech Strike!

[The Red Ranger presses the button on his morpher as the megazord begins to execute the finisher. FireBot sparks as it collapses, and explodes behind the megazord which poses victoriously.]

Enemy shutdown...confirmed.

[All the Techzords gather as the pilots take off their helmets to relax.]

IZZY FROST:
Thank you for remembering, “X.â€

[Hack meets with Trojus.]

HACK:
Those pesky Power Rangers are becoming a real thorn in the side. But, I do have an idea to speed up the takeover...unleash five or six Viradroids at once, and squash them to pieces!

TROJUS:
No...too time consuming! Punish the humans...now!

[Trojus’ anger seems to upset the balance in Cyberspace, and Hack tries to calm his leader down.]

HACK:
You must relax! You might tear the fragile balance of Cyberspace, and it took a long time to establish the link!

[Trojus continues to throw a tantrum, and Hack presses the “ESC†button on hi laptop to return to reality.]

As you wish, my liege!

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-LABORATORY-DAY
[Hack emerges in reality, and disguises himself as a doctor.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-HALLWAY-DAY
[Hack leaves the lab, and walks past a nurse.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-GENERATOR ROOM-DAY
[Hack drains some Synthoil from the hospital, and uses it to create a new Viradroid. He patches a syringe to his laptop, and installs a virus. The syringe transforms into the Shotdroid, who comes to life.]

INT.-CYBERSPACE-DAY
[The new Viradroid is patched into Cyberspace. A Type Bets ViraBot is selected, and travels up a shaft to be upgraded into the ShotBot.]

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[An alarm rings out.]

LIEUTENANT MARC HUGHES:
We have an abnormal Synthoil reading and Point N-Y-zero-four-six!

[The three operatives enter the room.]

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
I am also detecting a possible impending ViraBot incursion!

LIEUTENANT MARC HUGHES:
Commander! It’s a Viradroid!

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
Okay, team! Move out!

[The trio salute their commander, and rush for the chute system.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three operatives arrive on a rooftop, and spy on the location, which is a local hospital. Xavier and Izzy use their Tech Specs as Josh uses his Tech Cam.]

JOSH GRIER:
It’s too quiet around here.

XAVIER WYATT:
Yeah! Something doesn’t seem right.

[All the curtains over the windows are closed.]

IZZY FROST:
Maybe it’s their rest day?

XAVIER WYATT:
Their rest day is on Wednesdays...today is Monday.

[Xavier activates his grappling hook, and flies down as Izzy looks at the sign to confirm what Xavier said.]

JOSH GRIER:
He got you...didn’t he?

IZZY FROST:
Yeah, yeah!

[Josh and Izzy repel down with their grappling hooks as well.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-HALLWAY-DAY
[The three operatives patrol the halls with their Tech Blasters. The halls are completely void of any human activity, puzzling the trio. Xavier opens a door, and sees a group of human doctors and nurses with robotic masks on their faces.]

IZZY FROST:
(surprised)
What the...!?

JOSH GRIER:
They’re organic robots!

XAVIER WYATT:
OrganiBots?

[Suddenly, the OrganiBots activate, and their target is the trio, and start to go after the three like zombies. Izzy aims her weapon at them.]

No! They’re still human! We need to disarm them,. gently.

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-HALLWAY WAITING AREA-DAY
[The three operatives continue to battle the OrganiBots. Soon, the trio comes face-to-face with Hack.]

HACK:
Hello, rangers!

[Xavier aims his blaster at Hack.]

My leader just wants you humans to suffer...with a little bit of light genocide, with your cooperation, of course.

[Hack releases his tendrils to attack the trio, who take cover behind various objects. Once the coast is clear, the trio see that Hack has vanished.]

XAVIER WYATT:
We got to find where he is running this operation from, and find the Viradroid.

INT.-CITY-GENESIS BUREAU-COMMAND-DAY
[Sasha and Marc are busy with their respective computer systems.]

COMMANDER BEN HIGHTOWER:
Doctor...anything on the corresponding ViraBot?

DOCTOR SASHA MANSFIELD:
It is using a rather complex route. Ah, here it is! The ViraBot will arrive in forty-two minutes. I’ll send the time to the rangers.

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-DAY
[Josh sees the time on his morpher as the other two continue to argue.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-GENERATOR ROOM-DAY
[Two Phishers escort a lone female nurse to Shotdroid. The nurse screams in agony and fear as the Viradroid infects her with metal cells, injecting her.]

SHOTDROID:
I’m just going to infect you with a few metal cells!

NURSE:
(agonizing)
No, please!

[With the injection, the nurse gains a metallic robot mask on her face.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-HALLWAY-DAY
[The three operatives continue to patrol the halls, until they hear a male voice screaming for help. The trio run to help him.]

MALE VOICE:
Someone, help me! Please! Help me!

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-LOBBY-DAY
[The three operatives run into the lobby waiting area, and see a doctor being pursued by six Phishers. The three prepare their morphers, and transform.]

ALL OPERATIVES:
It’s’s Morphin’ Time!

[The suits form onto the three operatives, who then put their wrists to their heads to activate the helmets and visors. The rangers battle the Phishers with their Tech Blasters, and save the doctor. One Phisher even gets their head blown off.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Are you okay?

DOCTOR:
Yeah...those monsters have taken over the generator room, and they’re draining our Synthoil. When it’s gone, the patients in the I-C-U that are on life support will die!

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Even if we defeat the Viradroid, the hospital will still need more Synthoil. There is a tank nearby. Gorilla and I can handle it.

voice of SHOTDROID:
Hello, rangers! I am in the generator room...come and get your immunization! It’ll only hurt a lot!

[The three look up to a surveillance camera, realize that the Vyrix are onto their plan. Suddenly, more Phishers emerge from a wall electrical outlet, and along with more OrganiBots, get ready to battle the rangers.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Stick to the plan!

[The Red and Yellow Rangers arm themselves with their Tech Daggers, and all three charge in to battle the Phishers, fiercely, and to disarm the OrganiBots. The Blue Ranger then breaks for the doors, as the security gates begin to drop.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
(as some Phishers try to block him)
Outta my way, tin cans!

[The Blue Ranger fires his grappling hook, and crashes through the glass doors to escape the building just as the security gate fully closes.]

EXT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-DAY
[The Blue Ranger takes a brief sigh of relief, then calls the base.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Commander...launch the Gorilla Techzord!

[Several shipping containers swing open to allow the Gorilla Techzord to access the city, and races through the streets.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Gorilla Techzord travels across a bridge. The zord changes into it’s Animal Mode in mid-span on the bridge, and approaches a Synthoil tank. The Blue Ranger looks at his morpher...less than twenty seconds left. The Gorilla Techzord opens up the tank, and starts loading up on Synthoil. Time runs out, and the ShotBot lands in the water several dozen feet away from the tank.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-HALLWAY-DAY
[The Red and Yellow Rangers continue to battle the Phishers with their daggers. In the midst of battle, the Yellow Ranger sees a little girl, sitting in the hall, crouching down, and crying. The girl seems to be about the same age as Izzy was back in 1999. Two Phishers rush toward the girl, and the Yellow Ranger rushes to defend her, but not before tossing her dagger to impale one. The two then de-morph to comfort the girl.]

IZZY FROST:
I know I was like her a long time ago. But I have grown up considerably.

XAVIER WYATT:
I apologize. I was just trying to be...more polite.

[Suddenly, Shotdroid comes into the hallway, and fires his cables to ensnare the two around their ankles. Izzy “shoves†the girl to safety. The Shotdroid reels the dup in, but they use their Gear Boxes to summon their Tech Daggers to try to cut their way out...but the weapons are useless against the cables. The two then grab onto door jams and hold on. The two then silently come up with a plan, and let go of the door jams. The two then overpower the Viradroid, and all three go crashing through a window.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[At dusk, the Gorilla Techzord continues to siphon the Synthoil from the tank. The ShotBot prepares to battle the Gorilla Techzord as it finishes loading up on Synthoil.]

BLUE ULTRATECH RANGER:
Fully loaded up...but it’s not going to be easy getting out of here!

[The Techzord turns around to come face to face with the ShotBot.]

Peel Missiles...fire!

[Bananas fire from the zord, and the peels come off. The banana hits the ViraBot, who then slips on the peels.]

GORILLA:
(taunting)
Na-na-na-na-na-na!

[The ViraBot recovers, and goes toe-to-toe with the Gorilla, causing a hail of sparks.]

EXT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-NIGHT
[Xavier and Izzy insta-morph into the Red and Yellow Rangers, then tap their Gear Boxes to summon their Tech Daggers, and charge at the Shotdroid. The two activate their weapons to execute their finishers.]

YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER
Malpractice is illegal!

SHOTDROID:
You should always listen to your doctor!

RED ULTRATECH RANGER AND YELLOW ULTRATECH RANGER:
Tech Slice!

[The two slide under the Viradroid to strike it with their weapons. Shotdroid collapses as it cackles in red energy bolts, then explodes. Just as the two can breathe a sigh of relief, all the lights in the hospital go out.]

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[The Gorilla Techzord and ShotBot continue to battle, as the ViraBot fires missiles at the Techzord. The ViraBot then sticks a needle into the Gorilla Techzord to siphon some of the collected Synthoil.]

GORILLA:
All that Synthoil gone to waste!

[Suddenly, red lasers fire upon the ViraBot...it’s the Cheetah Techzord in Vehicle Mode.]

voice of RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
Josh! Get that Synthoil to the hospital. I will handle this loser!

[The Gorilla Techzord departs the area as the Cheetah Techzord converts into it’s Megazord Mode.]

INT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-NIGHT
[The lights continue to flicker and go out as staff members race the halls to get patients to safety. Izzy helps get some of them to the lobby to be more centrally located.]

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[the Gorilla Techzord swings across the girders on the bottom of the bridge as there are spot fires on top. When the Techzord grabs onto one girder, it crumbles, sending the Techzord into the water. When the Cheetah Techzord turns around, the ShotBot seizes the opportunity to attack the megazord.]

RED ULTRATECH RANGER:
We got to regain control!

[Cheetah then reverts to Vehicle Mode, and uses it’s rear spoiler to deliver a “crotch shot†to the ViraBot, then reverts back to it’s megazord mode. The megazord leaps up with it’s sword, then comes down to slice the ViraBot in two.]

Cheetah Tech Strike!

[The ShotBot explodes into a fireball.]

Shutdown, confirmed!

[The megazord poses victoriously.]

INT.-CITY-HOPITAL-LOBBY-NIGHT
[As the last of the Synthoil is used up, the whole building goes dark, and some of the citizens panic a bit.]

EXT.-CITY-HOSPITAL-NIGHT
[The soaking wet Gorilla Techzord finally arrives, and shines it’s lights through the windows.]

INT.-CITY-HOPITAL-LOBBY-NIGHT
[The Synthoil is being loaded into the hospital’s systems, which re-energizes the lights and equipment. The staff rushes to check on the patients.]

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[Outside, the three operatives gather, and take in the lights of the city, and celebrate a bit.]

*Commander Hightower, the commander of the Genesis Bureau, requests a meeting, and talks about the victims of the accident sixteen years ago who may have been trapped in hyperspace. It is unsure if there is any survivors. Meanwhile, the Sawdroid along with the Sawbot appeared, and attacks the city.

*NOTE: I am officially moving all post dates to Sundays, starting next week. There have been a few weeks in a row that I have not been able to work on any writing during the weekdays due to other commitments, and I would like to keep going with this series.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE FUTURE OF “POWER RANGERS: ULTRATECH†FROM NIGHTRANGER INDUSTRIES.

FRESNO, CA.-June 3, 2012....Here is a special personal announcement from the founder and CEO of NightRanger Industries and The NightRanger Industries Online Network regarding the future of the “Power Rangers: Ultratech†series.

Dear Fans,

As you may have noticed, there have been some minor delays of getting the weekly episode(s) out, and posted along the network. There are various reasons as to why this is occurring:

1) Possible burnout...in the last five plus years, I have written over three hundred sixty episodes with very few breaks (one to two weeks or so around the finales of each season).

2) Last season, Power Rangers: The Next Generation, was considered a huge season, with all of the excitement in the source material (Gokaiger), the “PRU†source material (Go-Busters) seems to be a bit lackluster with not much excitement being generated with the season right now.

I just have not been able to get the weekly episodes posted on time. I even tried to move the post dates to Sundays to try and quell this...but it is not working. The last thing I wanted to do, is to cancel the series, especially only four episodes in.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY...“POWER RANGERS: ULTRATECH†HAS BEEN... CANCELLED.

I know I promised that PRU would return, but I think that I may have lost the “mojo" to keep the series going...however, I will write six more episodes...a PRU\PRTNG team-up, and a Red Ranger team-up, and that will bring PRU to 10 episodes. I want to see what the next series will bring to us, and may adapt it for the 2013 season.

I apologize for the inconvenience. For now, Underground Blue on Rangerboard has a great series, adapted from Go-Busters, called “Power Rangers: Jungle Spy†and there are others here on HJU that have adapted Go-Busters...please read them.
