Power Rangers Re-Runs

Since it's been confirmed for a while now that re-runs of Power Rangers will air on Nick Toons, don't know how many other Canadian viewers are on here other than me but since YTV has close ties with Nickelodeon will it be possible for YTV to air the re-runs as well? I have the Nick Channel and they don't have Nick Toons here in Canada so YTV is the next closest thing.

I don't know...

From YTV's Wiki page:

In 1993, YTV obtained the Canadian broadcast rights to the sensationally popular American children's series Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers based on the Japanese 16th Season of Super Sentai on their channel, which played to a receptive audience on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, trailing the American broadcast by several months. However, due to a handful of complaints sent to the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, YTV was pressured to remove the series from their line-up due to its violent content. Despite not actually being a member of the CBSC board, YTV complied and pulled the series before the end of its first season. While a phone-in poll was conducted to see if viewers wanted Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers back on YTV, no further installments of the Power Rangers series ever aired on the network but commercials for toys and videos were advertised on the network.

Sure, if you where in a market that got a FOX station you could still watch it, then when it moved to ABC Family in the US, up here Family Channel carried Wild Force - Jungle Fury (they are now re-running RPM). But i don't think YTV will carry it.

Ether Family or Nick Canada will carry it, IF we get it at all..........

Yea I heard about that, I don't have the Family Channel for some apparent reason but I figured since that issue with MMPR was back in 1993 and things are different now, Nick will want to market PR as much as they can so I thought they might bring it over to YTV since YTV doesn't really have alot of programs to show during the day, plus people know what power rangers are so there shouldn't be an issue like the one in 1993 when MMPR first came out.

Right here my friend :castlerock:

but yeah that'd be awesome to see them on YTV again.

Cool, I think it would make sense to show it since Saban wants it big again and Canada gets alot of stuff from the States, plus MMPR got removed off YTV back then because it was something new and people were uptight about it at the time but now times have changed so there shouldn't be any issue and besides YTV runs the same show at least twice a day showing the lack of shows they have during the day.
