Power Rangers: D-Gen (A Kyoryuger Adaptation)

Just an idle question, but is anyone actually interested in my continuing the story after episode 2?

I think I have some interesting ideas for it, but I also realize that this episode was reusing an idea from my most recent episode of PRVS, and it's honestly not the only one, however, it is it's own story with it's own characters & direction. I may not be entirely sure what the characters' arc are supposed to be yet, but the plot is a work in progress.

Quick Update:

Power Rangers Eternal Sect Redeux, Episode 1 is up to the revisions phase.

Power Rangers D-Gen, Episode 2 is up to the climax in it's first draft.

Power Rangers Vortex Shield, Episode 6 has been started, but is a long way from done.

I'd like to have all three up at roughly the same time, so we'll see what ends up happening. I have decided to continue D-Gen after episode 2. A bit of Kyoryuger research has given me ideas of exactly where to go from here. The plan is to do Eternal Sect, Vortex Shield & D-Gen all at once. There will be about 35 episodes per season. After that, I'll pick two more that I never finished, along with whatever comes after Kyoryuger & keep going from there.

FINAL UPDATE:

I just finished the draft of episode 2. As far as everything goes, I'm liking where I have it, but I'd like to go over it one more time & make a few corrections.

PRES Redeux episode 1 is going to be a bit longer, but all it needs is minor rewrites.

The next time I bump this thread, it'll be a new episode. PRES-R 1 will come with it. The next episode of Vortex Shield will not, but it'll be coming soon. I'm currently working on it.

So, hopefully, next week you guys'll get a new episode of PRDG & slightly altered version of a previous episode of PRES. Don't worry, they'll veer farther from what I had originally, so it'll seem newer as it goes, but, as I said before, it'll be practically the same for the first two-three episodes.

POWER RANGER D-GEN
EPISODE 2- NEXT GEN, PT 2

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

Tommy & Ethan rush through the ruined streets, following the sound of explosions in the distance. On their arms are gold braces in the shape of a T-Rex head with the upper portion of the skull on top of the wrist. There is a cylindrical hole up the center of the snout and on the forehead appears to be a button similar to the revolver chambers on the D-Volvers.

ETHAN
Man... I think I'm getting to old for this.

TOMMY
You're preaching to the choir, man.

ETHAN
Where are they exactly?

Laser blasts fly out, hitting around the two, The quickly shield their faces with their arms. When the dust clears, they look up to see D-Gen Red, Blue & Pink staring them down defiantly.

ETHAN
Gwen? Are you ok?

D-GEN PINK
Get lost, loser!

She fires a blast at them and they duck to avoid it, giving each other a look as the dust clears.

TOMMY
I guess that answers the question as to what side they're on.

ETHAN
I guess you're right. You know, I really didn't want to do this today.

TOMMY
Me neither. Ready?

ETHAN
Ready!

They pull out D-Cells and slide them into the cylindrical slots on the braces, ridged sides up, and slap a hand over the buttons on the forehead.

BOTH
D-Gen, Energize!

They fist pump into the sky as the braces light up with energy and fire off. They let loose zaps of green and purple energy as they soar into the sky above them. The three evil Rangers takes stances and wait confidently.

EXT. JUNGLE DIMENSION- DAY

The three march off through dense jungle with Gwen in the lead.

GWEN
Ok, seeing as we can't find that one clearing anymore, the first spot we find that's suitable for encampment, one of us stays behind while the others continue a grid search of the area.

TYEE
For food.

GWEN (CON'T)
What we need is shelter-

TYEE
Food.

GWEN (CON'T)
-dry firewood-

TYEE
Food.

GWEN (CON'T)
-as well as a way to keep it dry-

TYEE
Don't forget food.

GWEN (CON'T)
And we also need to figure out where the rest of our things went-

TYEE
Along with-

GWEN (CON'T)
TYEE! You say food one more time, I swear to you!

TYEE
(Cocky)
What? I'm hungry!

Gwen takes a deep patient breath and shoots a look at Kenneth, who just shrugs. Gwen turns and continues on in silence, rolling her eyes. Kenneth follows with Tyee in the back.

TYEE
Well, we're going to have to find food eventually.

From the bushes, a shadowy figure watches. Destruktor squeezes his hand into a fist.

DESTRUKTOR
(chuckles)
Perfect! I'll win my honor back... one way or the other!

INT. CLEARING- EVENING

The three enter a clearing, after a long day of searching. Kenneth and Tyee are wiped out, but Gwen is still full of a nervous energy.

GWEN
They have to be around here somewhere!

TYEE
Let's face it, we aren't going to find them.

Gwen spins back to him.

GWEN
We need to! Without them we have no power!

TYEE
We have power; we can morph! Isn't that enough?

GWEN
You really have no idea, do you?

She storms off. Kenneth turns to him.

KENNETH
Dude, maybe we should find some more of these D Cells? After all, we are fighting a war. This girl knows more about what's going on than anyone.

TYEE
Yeah, she knows more than she's letting on. Me? I just want to get out of here. Find a burger and a milkshake.

KENNETH
Do you really have to talk about food right now?

TYEE
Well, excuse me! I'm hungry and it's all I can think about.

He curls up in the fetal position. Kenneth shakes his head.

KENNETH
Yeah, well, you're not the only one.

TYEE
At the least... we haven't yet run into a-

GWEN
Dinosaur!

Gwen comes running back into the clearing, pointing behind her. The two jump to their feet.

KENNETH
What kind of a dinosaur?

GWEN
The angry kind! Go!

Just then, an Allosaur rushes out of the trees and comes after him. The three run for it, yelling back and forth at each other.

TYEE
Why! Why did you have to incur the wrath of that-

GWEN
You think I did it on purpose? Just run!

KENNETH
Why don't we morph?

GWEN
Go ahead! Stop for five seconds to morph, that thing isn't waiting for you!

TYEE
Can't we do anything?

GWEN
Shut up and let me think!

They run in silence for a moment, then Gwen's face lights up. She hurriedly shoves her D Cell into her D-Volver.

KENNETH
What are you thinking?

GWEN
I'll slow him down! Then you two morph!

TYEE
Are you crazy?

GWEN
Do you want to get eaten?

Tyee's face drops.

TYEE
Ok. Point taken.

GWEN
Get ready!

She drops into a reverse roll and comes up, firing her D-Volver at the Allosaur. Tyee and Kenneth break off, hiding behind trees on either side as Gwen holds it off. The blasts hurt it, but it keeps coming cautiously.

TYEE & KENNETH
D-Gen, Energize!

The two morph into Red & Blue and jump back out, taking over for Gwen. She drops back and morphs herself.

GWEN
D-Gen, Energize!

She comes forward, rejoining the two.

GWEN
Ok, now when I say, we-

Just then, a log comes flying out of nowhere, wiping out the Allosaur. The three pause in surprise.

TYEE
What the heck did that?

DESTRUKTOR (OS)
No one destroys you but me!

The three look up as Destruktor enters the clearing.

TYEE
Oh, no, not this guy again!

KENNETH
He must have come through with us!

GWEN
This is not good.

Destruktor fires an energy blast at them and they all dive out of the way of the explosion.

TYEE
What do we do now?

GWEN
We're going to have to work together! Do exactly as I say!

TYEE
Why should we do what you want? That got us into this mess in the first place!

KENNETH
Because she knows what she's doing!

TYEE
Says who!

GWEN
Fine! Moron! Do what you want! Now, Kenneth-

Suddenly, Tyee rushes past them, yelling and blasting at Destruktor with his D-Volver. Destruktor laughs and scatters the blasts left and right with his claw arm. He catches the last one in his claw and, with a bit of effort, sends it flying back at Tyee, who is sent flying back, flipping through the air. He crashes into a tree so hard that it fractures.

GWEN
You see what happens?

KENNETH
Uh, Gwen?

She spins around, still fueled by her anger at Tyee,

KENNETH (CON'T)
Tree! Look out!

They dive out of the way as the tree crashes down, smashing through the ground into a cave below. Suddenly, the Earth is crumbling, the hole getting larger and closer. They try to escape, but all three are eventually swallowed, falling several feet to the bottom. Destruktor looks down at them, laughing. The three get up, slightly stunned from the fall. Gwen looks up, seeing Destruktor aiming a blast at them. Then, she notices a tunnel.

GWEN
Guys, go!

Together they rush into the tunnel as Destruktor's blast hits, caving in the exit behind them and leaving them in darkness. Destruktor laughs to himself, turning and walking away.

DESTRUKTOR
That was easy! Now, to get out of here!

INT. ANUKATI SHIP, BRIDGE- EVENING

Nazigu watches the battle between Green & Black and his Generals on his wall screen silently. A beeping issues from his tablet. He looks at it and begins chuckling to himself.

LORD NAZIGU
Why should I save you? Failure!

He hits a button, denying the call and returns to watching the battle. Suddenly, another call sounds.

LORD NAZIGU
What now?

He sees it and is taken aback, answering it. A screen activates and a shadowy figure lies beyond. Nazigu bows down before it.

LORD NAZIGU
Overlord Zondas of Chaos, master of the Anukati race, Greatest Warlord of the known Universe-

A growling voice cuts him off.

ZONDAS
Save it, Nazigu! How goes your conquest?

LORD NAZIGU
It's going... well. We confronted a slight issue with a local outpost of Power Rangers, however the issue is currently being resolved by my generals. The planet will be ours, we will have enough beings to feed to the Primer tanks and we can resume our conquest of the important planets.

ZONDAS
I've gotten the reports back from Dengesis. Those you left in charge are keeping the blockade strong. Not a single Ranger has passed beyond to come to their aid.

LORD NAZIGU
What did you expect, Master? It is me, after all.

ZONDAS
You always were the best of my servants, Nazigu. I expect you to have the planet enslaved within twenty four of it's hours. Then, return to Dengesis. We must halt this Ranger threat if we are to control the galaxy!

LORD NAZIGU
And... how goes Grumm's conquest?

ZONDAS
Don't worry. Your rival Lord is doing no better on the planet Sirius. It seems the survivors have regrouped into an army under two Sirians of the name Creuger. Why ask?
(Chuckles)
Are you afraid that you look bad?

Lord Nazigu looks perturbed by this.

LORD NAZIGU
Me? Never! I've conquered far more planets than he has in half the time! Worthless fool!

Zondas chuckles.

ZONDAS
Report back in twenty four Earth hours.

LORD NAZIGU
Under oath to the people of Anukatas, Great Overlord.

ZONDAS
Perfect.

The screen deactivates. Lord Nazigu jumps up with an annoyed humph. He calls up his generals with a few furious taps on his tablet.

LORD NAZIGU
Step it up! We don't have forever!

INT. CAVE- NIGHT

The three, now demorphed, are examining the exit to the cave.

TYEE
Why don't we just blast our way out?

GWEN
No good. The rock is too weak. We try to blast our way out of here, we'll cause an even bigger cave in than the last two put together.

KENNETH
Besides, there's no sure way out, out there. Not with the sheer sides and that thing waiting for us.

TYEE
So, what? We're just stuck down here?

GWEN
No. We'll think of something.

TYEE
Well, I'm glad you're so optimistic.

Gwen spins around to face him.

GWEN
Tyee, what is your problem? You've done nothing but grumble all day long and I have just about had it up to here!

TYEE
I- did not- ask- for this!

He emphasizes wildly with his arms.

GWEN
You snatched the thing up in two seconds as soon as I offered it to you!

TYEE
I thought it was our only chance! And I've been regretting it ever since!

He walks to the other side of the cave and leans dejectedly against the wall.

KENNETH
Tyee, no one asked for this, it just happened. Now, can we please get our heads in the game and figure out what to do?

Gwen looks at him, impressed.

GWEN
Yes! Thank you, Kenneth!

They all sit back, thinking.

TYEE
You know, maybe we should at least try-

KENNETH & GWEN
No!

Tyee throws his hands up in frustration.

TYEE
Fine. Do whatever.

CUT TO:
An obvious while later, all three are sitting in different parts of the cave, bored, dirty and still deep in thought.

GWEN
Anyone got anything?

KENNETH
No.

TYEE
I've got the same thing I've had for the last three hours. I really need sleep, food and a way out of here.

GWEN
That's not very helpful.

TYEE
No. No it is not.

They sit in silence for a moment longer.

KENNETH
So, uh... Gwen?

GWEN
Yeah?

KENNETH
What's your story?

GWEN
I live and work with my father at EJ Industries. Why?

TYEE
Hold on, your father is Ethan James, right?

GWEN
Yeah. Why?

Tyee spins around, looking her up.

TYEE
You look about nineteen, twenty-

GWEN
Twenty one.

TYEE
How is that possible?

KENNETH
What do you mean?

TYEE
I've done the research, if she's twenty one, her dad had her when he was seven. He's only twenty eight!

KENNETH
Well, maybe she was adopted?

TYEE
That's a good point, were you adopted?

GWEN
Yeah, sort of- anyway, Kenneth, since you like bringing up the past, how about you? What's your deal?

KENNETH
Well... my dad runs a vineyard in Napa Valley. I've grown up around grapes and wine all my life. I've always wanted to do something else with myself, though. You know? Like, something worthwhile.

GWEN
Well, you're in the right place, I suppose.

KENNETH
I guess saving the world- or attempting to, at the least, ought to be worth something... What about you, Tyee?

TYEE
Me? I, uh... I grew up on a reserve. Kind of sucked.

GWEN
Well, I guess we're all in this together now. All three of us. Whether we like it or not.

Kenneth sits up.

KENNETH
Hey, I'm not giving up my home to a bunch of alien conquerors without a fight. Despite how bad the suit looks.

GWEN
What is your deal with the freaking suit?

KENNETH
It looks horrible! And if we ever get out of here, I'm holding you all to oath that no one ever finds out who we are because if anyone knows that's me under there, I'll kill you guys.

Gwen suddenly cracks up laughing. Followed closely by Tyee & then Kenneth. the laughter soon dies out when they remember their predicament, their faces falling. They all go silent.

TYEE
Well, still waiting for that big plan.

Gwen suddenly lights up.

GWEN
Big plan? That's it!

She jumps up, followed shortly by the other two, who look confused.

PR D-Gen Episode 2- Post 2/3

GWEN
If we can morph here, then the Grid is present. That means we can summon the Saurigen Zords! All we need to do is blast through the scree summoning them and-

Kenneth steps forward, holding up his hand to silence her.

KENNETH
Wait, wait, wait! What are you talking about here? Where are we going with this?

GWEN
The D Cells we use to morph have a double function, they also summon giant robots to our aid known as Zords. We summon them by calling them out when we shoot. The plan is Kenneth blasts out of here while summoning the D-Tyranno Saurigen Zord, then blocks the second cave in so Tyee & myself can get out and use it like a bridge to get back on top. You in?
KENNETH
You think that'll work?

TYEE
It's worth a try, isn't it? Come on, man!

Kenneth looks from one to the other, then pulls his D-Volver out.

KENNETH
Alright. Ready?

TYEE & GWEN
Ready!

ALL THREE
D-Gen, Energize!

All three morph. Kenneth's visor lighting up as he downloads the information. He cocks his gun and aims it at the rubble.

KENNETH
Ok, guys, stand back! D-Tyranno Zord, activate!

He shoots, the blast blowing through the rubble and flying up into the sky. Kenneth flips after it. The light intensifies, turning into a red and yellow T-Rex themed zord, which roars. As Kenneth vaults through the air, it chomps down on him, eating him whole.

TYEE
What the heck?

GWEN
Kenneth! Are you ok?

EXT. JUNGLE- DAWN

Destruktor is pacing by himself.

DESTRUKTOR
Why aren't they responding? I want to go home!

He kicks at the dirt. He sees the red light in the distance and looks up.

DESTRUKTOR
What? No!

He races off after it.

INT. CAVE- DAWN

Gwen & Tyee's radios crackle.

KENNETH (OS)
Yeah, guys, I'm fine. Apparently, that's how you get into the cockpit. Bit of a rough landing, though.

The rock begins crumbling above them.

GWEN
Kenneth, hurry!

KENNETH (OS)
Right!

The zord swings around, sticking the tip of it's tail into the cave entrance. The rubble crashes down around it, forming a little door. Gwen & Tyee race through. It pulls it's tail back out and the rubble settles, blocking off the entrance. They flip up onto the zord and race up it's back to the surface. Suddenly, a blast hits nearby, making them fall to the ground. Destruktor comes back out of the trees.

DESTRUKTOR
You made it out? I thought so! Well, no matter! Hyah!

The zord grips the edge of the hole with it's teeth and scrabbles up to the surface with it's legs. It pulls itself up, advancing to cover the other Rangers and leans low, roaring at the monster. Destruktor backs away cautiously, pointing at it.

DESTRUKTOR
A zord! Well, you three are all set, aren't you?

TYEE
He knows what it is?

DESTRUKTOR
But no matter! Our scientific advisor has created a special formula for just such an occasion!

He pulls out a small dark colored orb full of liquid.

DESTRUKTOR (CON'T)
What does it do? Well, let me demonstrate!

He smashes it on the ground, releasing the liquid which turns into smoke on impact. The smoke wreaths around him and he begins growing, laughing while he does it. Soon, he's gazing down at them confidently. The zord steps forward, hissing a warning.

GWEN
Kenneth, Tyee and I are going to summon our zords so we can all form the Energex Megazord!

TYEE
We are?

Gwen smacks his shoulder lightly.

GWEN
Yes!
(To Kenneth)
You think you can hold him off until then?

KENNETH (OS)
Let's find out!

The zord races forward, grabbing Destruktor's claw in it's teeth and flipping him to the ground. It roars and charges as Destruktor get's back to his feet.

GWEN
Right, Tyee, just do what I do.

TYEE
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time. Just please hurry!

Gwen cocks her weapon and points it in the air. Tyee follows suit.

GWEN & TYEE
Saurigen Zords, activate!

A pink blast and a blue one rise into the air, intensifying in power and transform into a giant pink triceratops and a giant blue stegosaurus. Gwen leaps into the air, shooting downward to send her skyrocketing. Tyee follows suit. Both of their respective zords eat them.

INT. D-TRICERA COCKPIT- DAWN

Gwen appears on a platform with several glowing, pulsing pink lights behind her. She slips her gun into a stand to her right and pulls the trigger. Her visor lights up with info.

GWEN
D-Tricera Saurigen Zord, Online!

INT. D-STEGO COCKPIT- DAWN

Tyee ends up in a similar cockpit, but modeled in blue. He repeats the same action Gwen did and his visor also lights up with info.

TYEE
D-Stego Saurigen Zord, Online!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

All three zords line up.

ALL THREE
Energex Megazord, activate!

The D-Tyranno roars. It's tail splits in half along the spine and jacks up a bit. The entire head and torso of the zord rotates sideways and the split open tail attaches onto the back. Two black nubs fold out on either side of the torso, one from under the T-Rex head and one under the little nub of tail still visible. The whole thing goes to a knee. D-Stego and D-Tricera rush to each side, all their extraneous bits folding in. They jump up onto their hind legs and bite down onto the nubs. The Megazord stands. The legs of the D-Stego & D-Tricera fold in and hands fold out. The D-Tyranno's legs readjust into place as each one stomps the ground and a new head folds out. Several yellow spikes fold out around the head and it roars as red, blue and pink energy rises through it to it's face, lighting up it's eyes.

ALL THREE
Base Objective, reached!

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

All three rangers and all three pedestals they stand on are standing in a row in a dark room. a hologram of the blue zord appears over Tyee’s right arm and a hologram of pinks appears over Gwen’s left. Tyee looks at it in confusion.

TYEE
What’s up with this?

GWEN
The pedestals monitor our movements and transfer them to the zords, however in Megazord mode, it only monitors my left arm and your right. That’s all we’re in control of. Kenneth does the rest. Think you guys can handle it?

KENNETH
I think so.

TYEE
I hope so.

GWEN
So do I. Ready?

KENNETH & TYEE
Ready!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

Destruktor charges and begins wailing away at them. The Megazord throws up it’s arms to protect itself as it’s brought to it’s knees.

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

The whole cockpit is shaken by the blows and they all find it hard to stay on their feet.

GWEN
Tyee, use your shield, quick!

TYEE
Er, right!

His visor lights up, downloading the info,

TYEE
Stego Slasher, Extend! Shield mode!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

The Megazord holds out it’s blue arm. It lights up and a wavy blue sword with yellow spikes up the blade folds out. The Megazord grips it in it’s hand as the sword folds in half to become a shield, which it raises to block the blows. It forces itself room to get back on it’s feet.

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

GWEN
Trinitops Drill, Extend!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

The Megazord keeps bashing Destruktor back with it’s shield as it blocks his blows. The pink arm lights up and three drills fold out and begin lighting up with energy as they spin and rotate around one another. The Megazord blocks one last blow, getting in close and punches Destruktor repeatedly in the gut with the drill arm.

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

TYEE
Stego Slasher, Sword mode!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

Destruktor doubles over. The Megazord’s shield folds back into a sword, which lights up with energy as it slashes down on Destruktor. The Megazord stands over it’s prey.

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

GWEN
Ok, guys! Get ready for the final strike! Just follow my lead!

KENNETH & TYEE
Right!

They all claw their hands. Gwen crosses her left one over her chest and throws her right one out before her. Tyee crosses his right one over his chest and throws the left one out before him. Kenneth raises both hands in the air, crosses them, then brings them down over his chest.

ALL THREE
Energex Megazord, Energize!

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

The Megazord crosses both arms over it’s chest as it gathers energy. It’s eyes glow red, blue and pink before lighting up bright yellow. It roars.

ALL THREE
Fossilizing Blast!

The Megazord throws it’s arms out to it’s sides, firing three massive laser blasts at Destruktor, a red one from the mouth and a blue one and pink one from it’s arms. The blast sends the Megazord flying up into the air with the force of it. Destruktor yells in panic as the blast hits him, turning him to dust and making his skeleton glow through his skin. When the Megazord runs out of energy, it flips and lands a while away in a crouch, Over it’s shoulder, Destruktor explodes.

INT. ANUKATI SHIP, BRIDGE- DAY

Lord Nazigu watches his Generals get beaten up by the two new Rangers. Seething, he calls them up.

LORD NAZIGU
Fine. We’ll try something else, then! Generals, return to the ship for a moment! Perhaps Destruktor can still be of further use!

INT. MEGAZORD COCKPIT- DAY

The Rangers are celebrating their victory when a bright light from outside grabs their attention.

EXT. JUNGLE- DAY

A portal has opened up before the Megazord.

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

Rangers Green and Black regroup, striking poses as the Red, Blue and Pink ones back away. The three look injured. They stand up straight, activating some sort of teleportation device, turning into balls of colored energy and shooting off into the sky. Green and Black relax. They're both extremely tired after the long fight.

TOMMY
What now?

ETHAN
You read my mind, Dr. O.

They look up at the sudden intense light of the portal. The real Red, Blue and Pink flip out of it, landing neatly before them in surprise and the portal closes behind them. Green & Black take fighting stances again. Red, Blue and Pink follow suit.

KENNETH
Who are these guys?

TOMMY
What are you talking about, you were just here!

GWEN
Guys, those are the other two Rangers we made. Black and Green.

TYEE
Ok, but who’s wearing them?

GWEN
That, I can’t tell you.

INT. ANUKATI SHIP, BRIDGE- DAY

Lord Nazigu is in a fury that the three originals escaped. He pounds his fist on a rail as his three generals cower before him.

LORD NAZIGU
How could this happen!

ROJOS
Lord, let us go down and we will finish this properly!

LORD NAZIGU
There’s no need! Perhaps they’ll destroy each other. I simply don’t have the time for these pointless deviations! Gah!

He slams his fist down once more in emphasis.

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

The five Rangers are in a standoff; Red, Blue and pink on one side, Green and Black on the other.

TYEE
Whose side are you guys on?

TOMMY
Not yours', buddy!

Tommy, the Green Ranger takes a fighting stance.

ETHAN
I'd advise you three to give it up and come quietly, but something tells me you're not up for that.

KENNETH
What are you talking about?

Green and Black relax slightly, confused.

TOMMY
You guys were fighting us earlier.

GWEN
No we weren't!

BLACK
Look, if we're all back to normal, here, just come back with us. We'll get you checked out. See that everything's alright.

TYEE
But, that wasn't us, before!

Gwen spins out her pistol, tapping the barrel to cause the battery to pop out. Green and Black flinch a bit.

GWEN
Everybody relax! Power down!

With a bright pink flash of light, she demorphs.

GWEN
Dad, it's me!

ETHAN
How can I be sure?

KENNETH
Dad?

TYEE
Mr. Ethan James, I presume?

Black nods, he reaches up, tapping the side of his helmet. His visor lights up, then slides inward and splits into fragments which slide into the helmet around it, revealing the face of Ethan James. The jaw piece splits in half and each half slides to each side of the helmet. Green follows suit, revealing Tommy. Kenneth & Tyee exchange glances and follow suit. Gwen advances carefully, arms out to the sides, D-Volver in hand.

GWEN
You see? Nothing's wrong. We're all friends here.

She kneels, placing her D-Volver on the ground and sliding it to Ethan, who traps it under his foot. Tommy & Ethan relax.

TOMMY
What happened to you three? Where were you?

TYEE
Some kind of parallel dimension. By the way, does anyone have anything to eat?

The two sides calm down and regroup.

INT. ANUKATI SHIP, BRIDGE- DAY

Nazigu furiously throws his tablet across the room, breaking it against the wall.

LORD NAZIGU
You three get down there immediately with every Primer we have left! Destroy them! Destroy- them- all!

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

As the two teams relax and talk, a beam of energy strikes near them like lightning. They all turn towards the clearing dust to see the three fake Rangers and an large group of Primers.

EVIL PINK
Alright you three, prepare for battle!

TOMMY
They are copies!

TYEE
Who are you?

EVIL RED
Excuse us. We haven't been properly introduced!

The three evil Rangers strike poses and snap their fingers. The hologram disguises fade, revealing three Anukati warriors- one Pink one with a happy face and cotton candy-ish armor, one blue with a sad face and watery looking armor and one orange and gold with an angry face in heavy lava looking armor. The pink one speaks first.

GENERAL I
I am General Pan of the Anukati, servant of Lord Nazigu and our great Lord of Chaos, Zondas! Delighted to meet you!

The blue one sighs, arms crossed in a bored manner.

GENERAL II
General Aquinaeus, also servant of Lord Nazigu, your conqueror, as well as advisor to such. I regret things have to end this way, for us.

GENERAL III
I don't! I, General Rojos, High Commander of the armies beneath Lord Nazigu, will grind you all to dust! I've destroyed Rangers before! This'll be no problem!
TOMMY
Lord Nazigu, huh?

ETHAN
And the Anukati? What do you guys have to say to that?

GWEN
I'd say they're going down!

She steps forward, stone faced, grabbing her D-Volver back out of Ethan's hand & replacing her D Cell inside it. She spins the chamber and raises her D-Volver on them.

GWEN
D-Gen, Energize!

She Morphs into the Pink Ranger. The others return their helmets to full cover one by one and step forward into a standoff line.

KENNETH
D-Gen Red, Tyranno Energized!

TYEE
D-Gen Blue, Stego Energized!

GWEN
D-Gen Pink, Tricera Energized!

TOMMY
Di-yah! D-Gen Green, Raptor Energized!

ETHAN
D-Gen Black, Parasaur Energized!

The five chant as they strike a pose.

ALL FIVE
We're the next gen.; Rangers never die! Go, Go, D-Gen; Power Rangers fight! Hiyah!

Multi-colored sparks of energy shoot off of them, mixing behind them and creating a massive explosion. The three General stand by, unimpressed.

PAN
Now, the fun begins! Primers, attack!

The Primers strike fighting stances with a unified grunt and rush the Rangers. The Rangers rush into battle. Then the Generals jump in, blasting Red with streams of energy. Rojos punches Blue in the gut hard enough to make him loose balance and fall on his ass. Pan matches Gwen's flips, rolls and kicks to a T. Finally, she covers her mouth uttering a girly giggle and strikes Gwen with lightning speed, sending her flying through the crowds of Primers and hitting the ground. Ethan & Tommy see this and help the three regroup.
TOMMY
I think we're going to need something a little more powerful to drive them off!

GWEN
Negative! We lost the case! We don't know where the remaining D Cells are!

Tyee suddenly looks up.

TYEE
Yeah we do.

The others turn to him.

TYEE
Not all of them mind you, but I've been finding some of them in our digs. I was actually coming to see you about it, Mr. James.

TOMMY
How many?

TYEE
Five. Marked 13 if that helps.

Tommy and Ethan exchange glances.

ETHAN
Where are they?

TYEE
In my truck.

TOMMY
Can you go get those if we hold these guys off?

TYEE
It's... kind of far-

PR D-Gen Episode 2- post 3/3

ETHAN
Then take this. Haley just finished it before we left.

He tosses a blue D Cell marked 11 to Tyee, who admires it.

TYEE
What is it?

TOMMY
You'll find out! No go while you can!

The Rangers strike poses and rush back into battle. Tyee backs off and begins racing in the opposite direction. He fumbles, trying to pull his D Cell out and insert the new one.

Pan backs out of the battle, tapping buttons on a device on her wrist.

PAN
All available units, converge on Sector 8.923. We have a runner.

Tyee gets the D Cell in, slapping a hand to the barrel as Primers begins rushing out of the alleys from every direction. He continues running.

TYEE
Ok, time to find out what you do. Fire!

He shoots it off. It blasts through several Primers, transforming into a yellow and black rolling shape. It turns out to be two small robotic dinosaurs, one yellow and one black, rolled up together in a ball. They break apart, fire beams into the Primers from their mouths and rush to opposite sides of Tyee, protecting him from harm. Tyee's visor lights up with info.

TYEE
Oh! Ok, then! Uh... Hatch Cycle, Rider Form!

The two dinos look at him questioningly, roaring. They rush in front of him, reform into the ball and fold out into the Hatch Cycle. Tyee leaps onto it, locking his D-Volver into a socket and pulling the trigger.

HATCH CYCLE
Auto-pilot deactivated.

Tyee takes a moment to regain his balance, then twists the throttle.

TYEE
Alright! Let's see what you've all got now!

He rips past them, pulling a wheelie. They all exchange glances and run after him, regrouping to the point where they form a giant ball which rolls after him at top speed.

EXT. ANGELUS REEF, STREETS- DAY

Tyee is driving along, trying to avoid rubble when he hears the rumbling. He looks behind him to see the ball.

TYEE
What... the...

It hits a pile of rubble, ramping over him. It comes down in front of him, breaking apart and reforming the individual minions to block his path. Tyee's a bit shaken, but doesn't falter.

TYEE
Ok then. You really want this, who am I to stop you!

He revs the motor and drives into the group.

TYEE
Lasers, fire!

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

Across the city, the others are still fighting the Generals and their Primers. Tommy flips around, using the claws on the back of his gloves to slash a few Primers down with hi-yahs. Ethan battles expertly, waling at the monsters one at a time. Aquinaeus chooses to attack him and he notices, turning to face him and cracking his knuckles in anticipation.

ETHAN
If you want it, come and get it!

AQUINAEUS
Fine by me.

Gwen has her D-Saber out and is slashing at Primers around her. Pan comes after her again, yelling a battle cry as she rushes her from behind. Gwen hears her coming and vaults into a handspring off of a Primer. She pulls out her D-Volver and fires on her while in the air, forcing Pan to halt, covering her face for protection. Kenneth pulls out his D-Saber and folds it up, latching it onto his D-Volver like a silencer.

KENNETH
D-Rifle! Power Up!

He rushes into battle, holding his weapon like a shotgun. He fights with a series of kicks while he uses the D-Rifle as a shield. Finally, he spins away from a Primer, ending in a kneel while aiming his weapon at it.

KENNETH
Rapid Mode!

He rapid fires on the unfortunate minion. Several more rush in to take it's place. He stands, cocking his weapon.

KENNETH
Scatter Mode!

He fires again. This time, the single laser shot acts more like a shotgun shot, scattering into the enemy and injuring them all. The tiny burning holes begin to spark as the Primers writhe in agony. Kenneth spins around, posing as they all fall to the ground and explode.

KENNETH
How's that for ya?

ROJOS
How about this?

Kenneth looks up as Rojos leaps though the air at him, firing an energy shot down on him from a sword. Kenneth ducks and dives for cover. Rojos lands, chuckling to himself and charges Kenneth, who rolls back to his knees, throwing up his D-Rifle just in time to block a downward slash.

EXT. ANGELUS REEF, STREETS- DAY

Tyee rides into the Primers before him as they attempt to shoot him off the bike. He fires lasers back at them, dropping quite a few. Something downloads to his visor and he nods in satisfaction.

TYEE
Alright, let’s try it!

He pulls the trigger of his D-Volver, holding it down. Energy builds up in the tires. Finally, he pulls out his D-Saber and back flips off the bike, slashing at several Primers as he lands. The Hatch Cycle slides tires first into several Primers, incinerating them on contact. Tyee fights a few more off, then turns back to the bike, abandoned on it’s side some feet away. He whistles and the bike comes to life, righting itself and driving back to him. He remounts it and continues his attack, ramping off some rubble and firing his lasers down at any Primers still alive. He lands beyond them, driving off as they explode.

TYEE
Whoo!

CUT BETWEEN:
The Rangers continue battling. The upper hand keeps leaning back and forth between the heroes and the villains. All the while Tyee continues riding for his destination.

EXT. ANGELUS REEF, OUTSKIRTS- DAY

Tyee arrives at his truck, swerving to a stop and practically diving through his window to get them.

TYEE
Oh yeah!

He spins out, turning back towards the city, then drives off into a wheelie.

TYEE
Don't worry, guys! I'm coming!

EXT. ANGELUS REEF- DAY

Kenneth is practically knocked senseless by Rojos. Rojos grabs him by the shoulder and drags him a few feet, chuckling triumphantly. He throws him through the crowd of Primers with a grunt. Ethan spins around, noticing the issue and tries to rush to his aid. Aquinaeus takes the chance and blasts him from behind. Tommy and Gwen try to run in to help, but Pan, Rojos and several Primers blast them all. The Rangers regroup around Kenneth, barely able to stand and clutching injuries. The three generals approach, looking down on them with scorn.

ROJOS
I can't believe you caused us so much trouble.

PAN
No matter. They're done for now. All we have to do is blast them, then the only one left is that incompetent blue guy.

AQUINEAUS
Then, I suggest we finish the job before he returns.

Aquinaeus brushes past them, raising his hand and forming an energy orb. The other two Generals agree and they follow suit as the remaining Primers back them up. Kenneth is dazed, Gwen looks up defiantly, Ethan tries to shield her & Tommy covers his face.

AQUINAEUS
Everyone ready? Then fire at-

TYEE
You guys forgetting someone?

They spin around in surprise and dive for cover as Tyee ramps through them, sliding to a halt before the others.

TYEE
Now, you guys are in trouble! Oh, yeah, you know it!

He cracks his knuckles in anticipation. The others struggle to their feet and surround him.

TOMMY
Did you get them?

TYEE
Of course I did! I'm not entirely incompetent!

He pulls out the five identical D-Cells, holding them up to the others, who grab them thankfully and reverently.

ETHAN
Alright, guys! Hit the switch at the top to activate them, then load them into the D- Volvers and fire!

KENNETH
Mind me asking what they do?

Gwen slaps a hand on his shoulder.

GWEN
Oh, you'll see!

Tyee climbs off his bike. The five form a skirmish line again and advance a few steps in defiance. The three Generals look on with apprehension.

ETHAN
Arsenal K, online!

He raises the D Cell over his head and taps the switch. The others mimic his movement.

OTHER FOUR
Ready!

They all load them into their D-Volvers one by one in a line & slap the barrels to clamp the jaws shut. The eyes of each D-Volver lights up with each Ranger's color.

ETHAN
Arsenal K, activate!

OTHER FOUR
Hi-yah!

They all fire on the enemy. The Generals dive for cover. The blasts shoot off radiation bursts which fly back on the Ranger's firing arms and travel up them, creating armored spikes. the five blasts almost reach the enemy, then shoots up into the sky, intensifying. The fully formed weapons fall back to the team, who snatch them out of the air. Their visors light up with information. The Red Ranger hefts a small glove shaped like a tyrannosaur head & poses.

KENNETH
Go, Tyranno Killer! Arsenal K!

The Blue Ranger hefts a small triangular shield with spiked edges.

TYEE
Go, Stego Krusher! Arsenal K!

The Pink Ranger hefts a katar with a drill tip marked with a triceratops.

GWEN
Go, Tricera Knifer! Arsenal K!

The Green Ranger hefts a shield with a sword sticking from the center and two matching blades on either side, marked with a velociraptor.

TOMMY
Go, Raptor Kadence! Arsenal K!

The Black Ranger hefts a crossbow/ blaster type weapon marked with a parasaurolophus.

ETHAN
Go, Para Kaliber! Arsenal K!

The team poses with their new weapons. The Generals take an experimental look, exchange glances, then snap their fingers. The Primers rush in to finish the job. The Rangers jump to battle positions and rush in head on. Kenneth grips a Primer's weapon in his Tyranno Killer and uses it to flip it over. He spins with the force and punches the next one square in the chest, creating a shower of sparks. Tyee blocks several blade strikes with his shield, then throws them all back and swings it, slashing them all down. Gwen slashes left and right with her Knifer. She pauses, cocking her fist back and powering up the drill before leaping into the fray and striking several down with a single punch as she flies through. Tommy slashes left and right. He blocks a few blasts, using his weapon like a shield. Several blades strike it, forcing him back a few feet. Finally, he jumps into a butterfly kick, throwing them all back and slashing with his weapon as he lands it. Ethan activates his D-Rifle as well and runs in with both Kaliber & Rifle, blasting enemies down left and right. Two rush in from the front and he slams his weapons down on their shoulders, forcing them to their knees and using the leverage to launch himself into a high back flip in the air. he fires down on several more enemies before landing. The Generals look apprehensive.

ROJOS
We don't have many Primers left to spare.

AQUINAEUS
We also don't know what else they're capable of that we have yet to see.

PAN
Perhaps we should pull back?

ROJOS
And defy our master!?!

AQUINAEUS
I agree. With Pan. We need to get out of here and formulate a better plan. Rojos, call the retreat while we still can.

He seems torn, looking back and forth between his fellow Generals and the battle. Finally, he gives in with a low growl of defeat.

ROJOS
Retreat! Return to the ship, immediately!

The Primers back off, leaving the bewildered Rangers behind.

TOMMY
Leaving so soon?

PAN
Don't worry, Rangers. We'll get you next time. All of you!

The three Generals teleport away, followed closely after by the Primers. The Rangers regroup, high fiving each other and celebrating their victory.

ETHAN
Guys!

They all stop, turning to him.

ETHAN
We need to get back to the tower. We all have a lot of things to get through while we can.

He motions for the others to follow. They exchange glances and do so.

INT. ANUKATI SHIP, BRIDGE- DAY

Lord Nazigu is torturing his Generals for their failure. He taps on his new tablet angrily, causing the red pillars of light which hold the three twisting and writhing in the air to intensify, then deactivate. The three drop to their knees, gasping for air and assuming bows.

LORD NAZIGU
You will never fail me again! I haven't lost a single planet in my campaigns since I became Lord! This planet dares to challenge me? Fine! I won't just strip mine it, I'll rip it apart and leave it in flames! It's- surface- shall- never- see- life- again! And you three will not fail me a second time, on- your- lives!

GENERALS
Yes, my lord!

Nazigu growls his reply and storms off across the bridge.

INT. EJ INDUSTRIES- DAY

The Rangers are sitting in the room with an extensive team, as well as Haley & Justin.

ETHAN
So, that's it, huh? You guys went back to the Cretaceous period, and, now, he's been finding D-Cells in archaeological digs?

Tyee nods.

TYEE
Six in all, but I lost one earlier.

HALEY
Well, at least we know we built them sturdy.

TOMMY
Yeah, but that means the others ought to be easy enough to find.

JUSTIN
You're right. If they all started in the same place... they might be all over, but we know they're here and they still work.

HALEY
I can start a search grid immediately.

TOMMY
I'll help with that. I'm a licensed Paleontologist and you need to know how deep to look.

TYEE
I'll help too! I mean, I... I am an Archaeological intern and I did find those six, so...

HALEY
Gladly accepted.

GWEN
What about the rest of us?

KENNETH
We need to know people are ok. I'd say start a search grid. Anyone who hasn't made it out of the city needs to come here.

ETHAN
An admirable idea. We also need to prepare. Those guys just retreated to plan. They could be back any time. We have to be ready for that.

TYEE
Well, when will our D-Braces be done?

JUSTIN
Pretty soon. I was able to convert Green and Black's D-Volvers within twenty four hours. Three more is no problem. They should be just about done now.

ETHAN
Guys... I think there's a chance we can do this.

He smiles. The others look relieved. Suddenly, alarms start going off. Team members rush to stations and check.

TEAM MEMBER I
A new Splicer is attacking civilians hiding in the mountain forests!

TEAM MEMBER II
We have Primers inbound!

The Rangers exchange glances. Justin, having left, rushes back into the room with a case. He opens it, revealing three more D-Braces identical to Tommy & Ethan's, except with red, blue and pink eyes. Kenneth, Tyee & Gwen snatch them up and join Tommy & Ethan as they rush off down the hall, throwing on colored jackets of Red, Blue, Pink, Green & Black as they go.
