Portrayed by: Chris Pine

Ranger Designation: Tensou Red Ranger

Weapons/Gear: Tensou Reader, Change Red Card, Tensou Shooter, Sky Saber, Dragon Headder

History: Though the second youngest of the Tensou Rangers, James has the most experience of anyone on the team in the complex where they live and train. Having been trained since his birth as a Ranger, he knows his enemies and his power, and he understands the mission better then anyone, trying to find out who he really is since his past is nothing but fighting and being trained as a solider. Often he’ll clash with the Black Ranger, David, but underneath all of the fighting and the “macho man” act, he’s got a good heart that needs to be shown the way to the Light.

Tensou Blue Ranger:

Name: Matthew “Matt” Davidson

Age: 22

Appearance:
IDcard4.png

Portrayed by: Hayden Christensen

Weapons/Gear: Tensou Reader, Change Blue Card, Tensou Shooter, Water Bowgun, Shark Headder

Having been in war and fighting for his life since he was seventeen, Matt knows the carnage that war can bring to a person or a civilization. He’s fought in the most recent war on the Earth over in Iraq, and he has seen things that he hopes he won’t have to see again in his lifetime.

Not one to let his feelings and personal issues get in the way, Matt may come off as a hard@ss about things, but once people get to know and understand him, they’ll learn that he’s not just a cold shouldered bastard that keeps himself locked up inside.

Tensou Black:

Name: David Silvermane

Age: 23

Appearance:
IDcard1.png

Portrayed by: Dan Ewing

Weapons/Gear: Tensou Reader, Change Black Card, Tensou Shooter, Land Axe, Snake Headder

History: Reluctant at first to work with the Rangers, David hates being the one that has to be the “loner bad boy” of the group. As quick to strike as the Zord that he has in the Snake, David doesn’t like having the power that he does for his fighting, no matter what. He’ll accept his role only when he realizes that he’s not alone in the fight, and he might end up with some friends or a partner in the long run.

Tensou Yellow:

Name: Corrie Jones

Age: 18

Appearance:
IDcard3.png

Having an affinity for nature and nurture, Corrie loves the outdoors. She trained herself in her Tensou Cards, and she likes to make people smile. She’s always trying to get the Stoic Black Ranger, David, who she calls her “Big Brother she never had” to smile. Corrie will keep fighting for the things that she believes in and loves, no matter the cost to her.

Tensou Pink:

Name: Hikari “Kari” Kurenai

Age: 23

Appearance:
IDcard5.png

Having been the Kamen Rider Kiva, she fought the threat of the Fangire in Japan for a year, alongside her then-boyfriend Sosuke Ishinaba who was Kamen Rider Decade at the time. When she lost him to his own personal devils, she fled to America, leaving her life behind her with nothing but her name, a few clothes, and a mission to save Sosuke. As the years for her went, she was given the power of quite a few Power Rangers: Pink Chaos, Pink Dino Thunder, and Yellow Saber Tooth Tiger. When she was approached for the Codename: Tensou Project, she jumped on the chance to once more prove herself a hero.

Episode One: Arrive, Tensou Rangers

Running through the fire and hell that was raining down, Kari Kurenai was the only one that was running towards the danger instead of away from it. She jumped and ducked and twisted through screaming and panicking civilians that were too busy trying to save their own asses. She shook her head as she helped a fallen little girl up, and after a quick hug, Kari was off again, blaring towards the danger.

“Hey!” she yelled. “What are you!?”

“Ah………the one that is called the Kiva. What a pleasure to be able to kill you,” a male voice said, a sneer evident in his tone. “Henshin.” As a purple light surrounded him, a suit of armor appeared, pieces snapping on at certain parts, like a Snake-themed chest as well as boots, gloves, a belt with a Snake imprint on it, and finally the helmet which looked to Kari to be themed after a King Cobra.

“Well….it ain’t Saga,” she said. “Kivat!” As a small yellow bat came flying out of seemingly nowhere, she reached up and snagged him. “One last time, partner.” She pushed the small lever that was on the one that she called Kivat’s head, and when the Bats jaws opened, she put the bat over her hand. “Henshin!” She slammed Kivat onto her waist and the belt that had formed, and she felt the transformation take place into the one that people knew as Kamen Rider Kiva. “Well, Kivat….maybe this can be our last fight, huh?”

“Hay, Kari! Kivat Isuzu!” Kivat said, looking at the Purple-clad fighter in front of them. “I don’t know who this joker is, but lets see if he bleeds!”

Kari didn’t say anything after that. She just took off running, jumping and kicking at the guy. As all of her shots were blocked, he grabbed her the throat. “I don’t think that you’ll be living long to do anything, Kiva! As it is…my Battalion forces are amassing on an Island in Your South Pacific. I don’t think that I need to keep fighting you,” he said, throwing her into the air and getting ready to fire a Final Blast attack at her.

“KARI!” Kivat yelled, seeing the blast getting ready to fire. When it fired, Kivat flew off of the belt, taking the hit and crashing to the ground. “Kari…….aibo…..partner….”

“Kivat!” Kari screamed, crawling over to him and picking him up. “Kivat, you can’t go….please….I can’t fight without you….” Tears were streaking down her cheeks as she spoke, and she sniffed back tears. “Come on…..you have to stay awake….I’ll get you help….”

“It’s….it’s too late for me, Kari. I saved you like I’d been told to do countless times by your father and friends. Kari…you have to fight to stop this man….he’s….he’s too powerful. I’ll always be in your heart,” Kivat whispered, his big yellow eyes closing as he crumbled in her hands. As tears fell onto the finally exposed wires and circuitry of Kivat-Bat the fifth, Kari’s eyes blazed.

As she was getting ready to stand up, she hit her knees. She felt sick, and when she hit the cool tiles of the floor underneath her, her last image was a pair of feet clad in pink boots. Her world went black as she passed out, her brown eyes closing as she let the darkness take her, her sorrow amplified in the dark of her mind.

James Blackwood sighed as he went through the Complex, a fifteen thousand square feet compound with gunmetal grey walls, silver floors, and individually colored doors that had the names of the rooms they were next to them. Stepping into one such door, James entered the Command Center, looking at the monitors. He selected a monitor, and he enhanced the picture. Seeing the brunette haired girl laying in the hospital bed broke his heart. He turned in time to see the woman that was like a mother to him, Eri, step in. He saluted, and she shook her head.

“James, you don’t salute me,” Eri said, giving him a gentle pat on the shoulder. “Has she woken up?” She looked at the girl, and she sighed. “I was almost too late this time, James. I’m getting slower, I’m getting older. Maybe giving the Powers to the five of you now is a good thing….” She sat down behind her desk, putting her right hand on her head as she picked up a pencil and started working, trying to keep her mind occupied.

“Eri…what happened?” James asked, kneeling beside her. “Eri?”

Eri sighed, and she turned in the chair, looking more worn out then James had ever seen her. She ran her hand in her cropped black hair, and she looked at the boy that she watched grow up. “I was almost late in saving that girl. When I found her, she was unconscious. There was a pile of sand beside her, something that I haven’t seen in a while. I barely got her back here before my powers failed. James……her Hero Spirit is something that we can use. Matt, David, and Corrie are the others that have been selected with you as the Red. Pink’s the only one that we haven’t taken into consideration, and I’m thinking that this girl, Kari, can be that Ranger,” she whispered, rubbing her eyes and looking tired.

“Eri……I’ve trusted you and your judgment for almost twenty years. If you think that this girl can be Tensou Pink, then we need to let her try. I’ll see if she’s awake,” James said. He stood up and looked at Eri, seeing the start of some grey in her hair that hadn’t been there three days before when he’d talked to her about the other Rangers. “Eri……go back to the Tower of Heaven for a couple of days. Get some rest, figure out who that guy was that attacked, and just come back when you’re feeling up to it again.”

As James headed out, he grabbed the Red Jacket that had his Tensou Zord, the Dragon, on it. On the back was the phrase: Power of the Sky’s Storms. He walked into the hospital wing, it’s red door standing out among the hallway and the coldness of the rest of the metal. He walked over to the bed that the girl was in, and he saw that she was awake finally.

“You’re awake. Good. I was starting to wonder,” he said. “I know that you’re probably wondering where you are, why you’re here, and what happened to your little bat friend, but before we get into that, I want to know your name. I’m James.”

The girl looked up at him, and she could see that she wasn’t in danger with him, and she relaxed, having gotten tense when he got close. “Hikari. Just…….just call me Kari, though,” she said, her voice low. She held out her hand, and was surprised that when James shook it, his hand was colder to her. “Where am I?”

“I call it the Complex, but it’s Codename Tensou’s Base. Don’t worry, the gunmetal grey and silver you get used to. If you want, I can show you around. That way you’ll be able to know your ay around,” James said, pulling a bag that had fresh clothes for her out from the cabinet in the room.

“I’d like that, James,” Kari said, taking the bag and closing the curtains, getting dressed. When she stepped out from behind the curtains, she was wearing a silver shirt with a phoenix on the back, and a light blue skirt and black leggings that ended in high heels. Her hair was pulled back and tied into a ponytail, and she pulled on a jacket that was in the bag that was pink with the words: The Power of the Sky's Breath! on the back. She looked at James and smiled, but the smile didn’t quite reach her eyes like it usually would have. “Alright, I’m ready finally.”

James smiled, and he had to admire the way that the Jacket seemed to hug her body. He caught himself staring at her, and he smiled apologetically. “Sorry. Anyway…this place can get a bit confusing, but in time, you’ll know your way around. Come on. I’ll show you around,” he said.

As he led her around the Complex, he showed her the tennis courts where her eyes lit up in excitement, the Gym, Pool, Command Room, and her quarters. After a while, they ended up in the Cafeteria, and James sighed. Kari put her hand on his shoulder, and she looked at him, curiosity in her eyes.

“James? What’s wrong?” she asked, looking at him.

“I don’t know. I just…it seems a bit weird leading you around when you’ve been a hero longer then I have. I’ve seen the stuff that you’ve done. Kiva, Chaos, Mighty Morphing, Dino Thunder. All of that’s amazing,” James said. “I want to be a hero, but I don’t think that I’m cut out for it.”

“You are, James,” a bubbly voice said, coming up behind him and jumping up on his shoulders. Corrie Jones smiled as she stepped up beside James. Being the Yellow Ranger of the group, Corrie seemed to be little sister of the group. She never had a cross word, never tried to step on peoples toes, and she always made sure that people were happy before she had her own happiness.

Coming up behind James and Corrie was Matt Davidson, the Teams Cool and levelheaded Blue Ranger. “James, the tactical likelihood that you’ll screw up is three in ten thousand. Those are pretty good odds considering what other Red Rangers have done. As for the rest of the team, the only trouble spot that we’ve got seems to be David, but we’re sure that he’ll come around at some point and stop being stubborn,” he said, shrugging. He looked over at Kari, and he smiled. “Hi. You must be Kari. I’m Matt, and this is Corrie. Eri told us that you’d be getting out of the hospital today.”

“Yeah, thankfully James was there to help me out otherwise I’d be lost as could be. There’s only three of you, though. Doesn’t there need to be five?” Kari asked, looking at the three Rangers. She figured that James was Red, Matt was Blue, and Corrie was Yellow, but where were Black and Pink?

“Well, David’s probably running about somewhere around the Complex, training or getting it on with a girl or something. I don’t know. As for Pink……we never had a Pink. Most of the testers didn’t work out, and one of the ones that was set to be Pink had to drop out because of a cancer that was killing her. She didn’t know if she’d be back, so she told us to find someone else that could handle the powers,” James said, sighing. “Kari…….I know that this might seem like I’m asking you a lot, considering that you just got out of the hospital and don’t really know us all that well, but….we’d like for you to become Tensou Pink,” James said, looking at the Ex-Rider and smiling a bit at her.

Kari bit her lip, and she sighed. “I….I don’t know….I’d like to. I just…I’m not sure that I can,” Kari said. “James, Corrie, Matt….if it means taking down that creepazoid in the Purple Armor, then I’ll take that chance to do so. He killed Kivat, I want his blood,” she said, looking at the other three Rangers. “Where do I sign up?”

“You don’t have to sign up,” Eri said, walking back to the others and holding out her Tensouder. “This is your Tensou Reader. It’ll take your power that comes in the cards and make them real. Over time, more cards will be revealed to you all. For now, just follow James’ instruction, and don’t let that get stolen. We don’t have backups in case it does get stolen, Kari. I’m passing my Legacy as a Ranger to you, now. Good luck.”

Kari nodded, and she clipped the Reader to her belt, putting her hands in her pockets. “So….now what?” she asked, sighing a little.

On the other side of the world, The Dark Fortress was rising from a Watery submersion. Stepping onto the observation deck in all black that contrasted and clashed with his platinum blonde hair, Battalion Leader Saron Blackmane was looking over the city that resided on a small island in the South Pacific Seas. He saw that his Footsoldiers, the Demon Bugs Bibiinites were doing their job of rounding up the Human Population on the island. They were too far out for any type of distress signals to be heard, and that was what Saron was counting on.

“Ah….this day is mine, you filthy, miserable, lower-then-dirt human trash,” he said, his voice slightly British with a sneer running through it. He set the Serpent-headed cane that he always carried on the ground, leaning on the rail that was tarnished with rust and other dirts, but at the time, he didn’t seem to care. He was watching with intrigue as his plans went accordingly.

The sound of footsteps behind him, caused by a size 4 high-heeled Armani shoe broke Saron out of his reverie, and he turned, seeing the statuesque figure of his only female General, Sakura Ozu. A slightly Japanese feel to her, her steps were soft as was the Martini glass in her hand. “Saron, my dear……what are you doing standing out over this balcony? Are you not longer intrigued by my………interesting………ideas?” she asked, her emphasis on “interesting” making Saron shake his head in a bit of amusement and laughter. “Oh, Saron……..I get tired of staying on this Rock of a Lair. I want to fight.”

Saron smiled as he turned to his overly-eager General, and he inclined his head as if he was giving an order. In a way, he was, seeing as she was eager to fight, to see what defenses the Planet had equipped the City of Thunder Hills with in the year that he’d been watching. “My ever-lovely Sakura………I believe that now is a perfect time for you to prove your worth to me and this Campaign. The last several conquests have gone smoothly. Let us try for number eight in the plan,” he said, putting his hand under her chin. The next move caught her off guard, but it was something that needed to be done. He quickly moved his hand so that he had left a handprint on her cheek. “And do not ever talk to me like that again, General Ozu. Otherwise I’ll see how fast I can have your over eager and always welcoming @ss in the Dungeons and tortured. Lead the Ground Troops to Thunder Hills. Take Klump with you. He hasn’t seen any action in over ten stellar cycles.”

Sakura’s hand was at her face after she was slapped by her Lord and Master, and she bowed, having been humbled by his force. “Yes……..Master,” she growled, walking away and letting her Martini stay on the table. Walking around to the back of the Fortress, she knelt by the lake, dipping her fingers in and smirking to herself. “Klump. Arise and Face me.”

Breaking the surface of the lake, a silver cart rose, bearing a monster in it’s depths. As it landed on the beach, a monster stepped out, the one called Klump. Looking like a scarab beetle, Klump stretched and shook his head out, letting the remaining Creature Lake water fall from his body. “Ah, Mistress Sakura. It’s about time. I’ve been waiting for a long time to fight and get back out to cause trouble.”

Sakura groaned, and she didn’t bother to say anything to the monster that she was forced to lead. “Gather the Bibiinites. It’s time for a war,” she said, opening the Portal to Thunder Hills so that she would finally be able to get her fight with the Rangers.
___________________________________________________________________

Meanwhile, James and the others were getting to know Kari sitting around a table in the Lounge, talking and telling her about themselves. James was trying to avoid talking about himself, and he dodged question after question. Kari knew that he was dodging, and she put her hand on his shoulder and planned on getting the info out of him one way or the other. They were deciding on a place for lunch whenever the alarms went off. They snagged up the Tensou Readers, and Eri’s voice came through.

”Rangers! There’s been a disturbance in town! Someone clad in White Armor with a lance and Bibiinites has appeared. She’s accompanied by a monster that calls itself “Klump”. Get down to the scene and fast and stop this thing before it’s too late!”

James smiled to himself, and he stood up. “Let’s go, guys! David, meet us in town!” he said, heading to the door that held the Speeders, custom built motorcycles that allowed them to get to the scene faster. “Climb up on your colored one. It’s colored by the wheels. Follow me!” He started the engine, and his was soon matched by three others. As he led them out into the street, people were stopping and pointing, amazed that this type of technology was in their city.

Pulling up onto the scene, they were amazed at what was going on around them. Kari felt her eyes go wide, Corrie was looking like she’d been punched, Matt was trying analyze what was going on around him, and James thought that this was the most horrid thing that he’d seen in his years. The sound of an engine made them all snap out of their thoughts, and the team of three turned around to see a Black-rimmed vehicle similar to their Speeders show up and slow next to James’.

Stepping off of the bike was David Silvermane, a hulking tower of a man that seemed to scare Corrie slightly, though he was wearing the Jacket with the same logo as hers. “Sorry I’m late,” he said, his voice gruff as he stood in line with the others. “Got caught in a….situation.”

As the team of five steped forward for the first time, they were instantly surrounded by Bibiinites. James looked at the others and he nodded, pulling out the Tensou Reader and a Card. “Follow my lead,” he said. He opened the ring at the base of the device, and it emitted a sound: “GATCHA!” "Change Card! Tensou!" He slid the card into the mouth of the Reader, and he slammed the Ring closed. As a sound played, James felt the suit appear around him, and he let the Cards enter the belt buckle on his waist. A Dragons call was heard, and the helmet formed around him. "Power of the Sky‘s Storms! Tensou Red!"

Kari and the others stepped up, and she nodded to them. "Change Card! Tensou!" they yelled, letting the Morph take place on them in much the same fashion that James' had not three minutes before. They stood in a line, James in the middle with David and Matt on either side of him and the girls on the outside.

“The Power of the Sky's Breath! Tensou Pink!”

“The Power of the Lands Rock! Tensou Black!”

“The Power of the Lands Buds! Tensou Yellow!”

“The Power of the Sea's Waves! Tensou Blue!”

James stepped up, and he smiled under his helmet. “Power Rangers! Tensou!” he yelled as he and the others posed, a wall of colored smoke and fire popping up behind them rather unexpectedly.

Kari looked around behind them, and she cocked an eyebrow under her helmet. “Did anyone else see that wall of fire behind us just now?” she asked.

David and the others shook their heads, all smirking under their helmets. Sakura looked over at them and tilted her helmeted head, sighing. “So you’re the infamous Power Rangers? Ya’ll don’t look so tough,” she said, pointing and letting the Bibiinites attack.

James shook his head, and he sighed. “Let’s go!” he yelled, heading head long into the fray, kicking and tackling the grunts to the ground and punching them in the faces. A firing squad stood and started blasting at the Red Ranger, but he was able to dodge them pretty easily. “The hell is that? A field mouse has better aim!” He smirked as he jumped up, starting to head towards Sakura. “So….who’d you have to bang to get this gig, huh?” His question was met with a punch in the stomach, and he growled. “Bad idea, lady……” He looked at the armor that Sakura was wearing, and he growled. “Where did you get that?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Sakura said, kicking him back and slashing him with her saber. “I thought that you’re dear Commander would have told you that the woman who used this armor was dead?!” She laughed as she flashed behind him, trying to kick him between the legs, only to have her be stopped.

“Wrong move, slut!” James yelled, driving his fist into Sakura’s face and his entire being turning a darker red. “You’re a disgrace to that armor and it’s true holder!” As he went in for the kill, she vanished, leaving a single command on the air:

“Destroy them, Klump!” The Monster growled and he started to form his “Children of the Klump”, mud balls that could absorb anything in their path, but as he did, his stomach growled.

“Man…..I want some waffles! That sounds good….maybe I’ll go find some. That sounds like a good idea,” he said, turning and letting his Klump-balls fall apart. James and the others laughed, and they took aim at the monster with the Tensou Blasters.

“Well….you know what they say. The dumber they are, they smarter the Grunts look!” Corrie laughed, smirking to herself under her helmet.

“Little sister, don’t start that again!” David laughed, looking at the others. “James, you want to give this a call or you want us to do it?”

“I’ll do it,” James said. "TENSOU BULLET!" As he fired a single beam of Red Energy, it connected with Klump, sending him into a frenzy of fiery idiocy. “Wow….that’s a spicy meathead!”

Kari laughed, and she looked at the others. “You got that right, James!” she laughed. As Klump burned and crumbled, the Rangers went back to the bikes and started back to the base, planning on celebrating their victory.
______________________________________________________

Saron, meanwhile, was less then happy. When Sakura walked back into the base nursing a broken rib or two from James’ punches, he grabbed her by the throat. “You said that you’d earn a victory, you b*tch! I see now that you’re no better then the Monster that I said to take with you. No matter, however. I have a few things that are planning to prove…more then adequate for your failure. Bibiinites! Take this losing scum to the Torture Chamber and begin Level Sixteen Torture. I’ll be down to check in later tonight,” he growled, throwing her into the waiting arms of the Bibiinites.

A look of Horror crossed Sakura’s face, and she screamed. “Sixteen! NO! Anything but that one! I’ll do anything! Master, not Sixteen! The power of that one….NOOOOOO!” she screamed, her screams echoing off of the walls as well as the dungeons as she was dragged rather unceremoniously down to the Torture chamber where her screams were a lot louder then before………
