Well I was talking with one of the guys that headed what they could screen at Anime Vegas '06 (Which I vidblogged all 3 days of >__>), I was talking about how they could screen Toku at AV, and he was like "We did in '06" Apparently they screen TVN's subs of Boukenger, Kabuto, and PGSM, and I was like WTF NO WAII. Also a guy that does TVN's timing was in the audience as well. Then he suggested that they should air Den-O and Boukenger vs Super Sentai at AV07, I was like, Bouken vs SS...maybe Gao vs SS was better but why not show both?, and for Den-O I said no unless if they were going to show more than just Episodes 1 and 2 (I suggest the Urataros and Ryutaros sub arcs). Then I suggested the Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, Gaia Battle in Hyperspace movie, the Mebius movie, and Kamen Rider Kuuga.
Well anyway I said there could be a Toku panel at AV07, and he said why not and I should contact the con guys with my idea, staff, and equipment needed and I might get the ok for a panel. Anime Vegas is a small con (first one was very small in '04 only around three booths), but you get alot more one on one time with the guests (Johnny Bosch and Laura Bailey usually show up), so the odds of my panel being accepted are pretty good. Last year they had a panel dedicated to only Sailor Moon (like 15 people showed up), so I'm sure a Tokusatsu panel will be accepted. So heres the deal though, I would gladly host/co-host the panel, but I have never hosted a panel before, so help would be appreciated. Also I want to cover almost all aspects of Tokusatsu, covering all franchises, but I need info on some of Toho's series (Star God, Guyferd, Cybercops), Kikaida series, and Metal Heroes (I've only seen Shaider and Jiraiya), and any other info on other Toku series (Spectreman, various Sentai series etc.) that you could provide would also be appreciated. :anime:
