Pokemon Games May Slow Down Their Release Schedule

I’ve noticed Pokemon seems to be the only major franchise that still puts out games at the same pace it did 20 years ago. It took six years to get another Zelda, and the last time Rockstar put out a GTA game dinosaurs roamed the earth, but Pokemon still reliably pushes out another mainline title every two years or so, like it’s 2002 or something. Pokemon is also receiving constant complaints lately about halfhearted graphics and glitches. And as I suspected, the two are related.

It's kinda true, you know? I've been playing Pokemon since I was little, and it does feel like they're always giving us new games super quick. But lately, I noticed those games have some weird stuff going on - like Pokemon going through walls and other glitches. The guy in the article said it's because they're rushing the games out. I get it, they wanna keep giving us new stuff, but if they slow down a bit and make the games really good, I'd be cool with waiting longer. Quality over speed, you know?

It hit me that Pokémon keeps churning out games like it's still the early 2000s, unlike other franchises that take their time. Seeing new Zelda or GTA games after years feels special. But Pokémon? Not so much. I've seen complaints about graphics and bugs in recent games, and now, Takato Utsunomiya's words make sense. Pokémon might be rushing things.

Utsunomiya said they're rethinking their old way. They want quality products, but it's tough. Bugs and rushed games link up. If they focus on better graphics, games might take longer. It's like the saying: fast, cheap, or good – pick two. Better Pokémon might need slower releases. What would you choose?

So, Pokémon's still rushing games like it's 2002. But these days, the graphics and bugs are no joke. I've watched videos of bugs in Scarlet and Violet. They're right – the quality isn't matching up. Takato Utsunomiya kinda admitted it. They've been releasing stuff in a hurry, and now they're thinking twice. He said new conversations are happening. They want good stuff but with faster tech, it's a puzzle. Better graphics mean longer wait times. It's that old thing: fast, cheap, good – you can't have all three. Would you wait more for cooler Pokémon?

What's this? Pokémon is a relic of the past. They continue to carry out their long-standing practice. Unlike other games, which take a very long time to release. It seems like they are not making up time. But, what the heck? The games aren't doing well.

Takato Utsunomiya, the COO, sort of acknowledged it. Games that were hurried had bugs. He claims that they are discussing this. Good games are desired, yet it is difficult. Games with slower graphics are cooler. Pick two out of quick, inexpensive, or good. Would you hold off for stronger Pokémon?

Okay, so Pokémon has a penchant for speed. They're acting like it's the Middle Ages. But here's the thing: glitches and visuals are all over the place. People are dissatisfied. And guess what? Takato Utsunomiya has something to say about it. They're hurrying things. He's mentioning quality and pace. Better graphics may result in slower gameplay. It's like the old adage: you can't have it all: quick, cheap, and good. So, what are your thoughts? Faster or better Pokémon?
