OT: I love new computers ^_^

Ok, well, my laptop died on me about a week and a half to two weeks ago(hard drive crashed, plus it needs a new battery, new keyboard, and the touchpad could use a little work). Naturally, I get an estimate from an Apple certified repair center(yes, 'twas an iBook), and I can tell paying that kind of money on repairs would be quite painful. So I decided to build my own desktop PC instead. So I put in an order for parts on Monday. They shipped on Tuesday, everything except a hard drive, processor heatsink, and wireless card. So I picked up a wireless card at work(one of the few times working at Radioshack has sorta paid off), and ordered a hard drive with second day shipping. I got the shipped parts yesterday, which rocked cause I only paid for UPS Ground(3-7 days), and started assembly, which is when i realized I forgot the heatsink. Hard drive arrived today. Most of it is assembled, except the wireless card(drivers have to be installed first), and processor(don't want to risk forgetting that it would quickly fry if I turned it on accidentally). It's nothing too special, should handle some decent games and such, but I think I got it all for quite a nice price. Have to go back and get rebates this weekend before I can have a concrete final price, but I think it worked out to roughly $800 or so after rebates and not including shipping. For the tech heads, heres what I have....

~AMD Athlon 64 3300+(they say its the equivalent of 2.4 Ghz, though I've heard it performs much better)
~128mb nVidia card(can't remember model off hand)
~1 GB RAM
~160 GB hard drive
~Sony Dual-Layer DVD burner
~Wireless card(otherwise we'd be talking 200+ ft of ethernet cable from my room to the living room  )
~Microsoft multimedia keyboard
~15" LCD monitor

And all that tucked inside a very cool case(includes front door w/ lock and lighting tube behind chassis, MANY drive slots, and adjustable speed fan on the inside front of the case). Can't wait to get it up and running, it's gonna be so bitchin' :buttrock: . I might post a pic in the Cribs: HJU Edition thread later
