Official English cast for Bleach

[Aoi Kurenai]

Ichigo Kurosaki - Johnny Yong Bosch (fanboy HELL yeah!)
Kuchiki Rukia - Michelle Ruff
Ishida Uryu - Derek Stephen Prince
Inoue Ohirime - Stephanie Sheh (woot!)
Kurosaki Karin -Kate Higgins
Kurosaki Yuzu - Michelle Ruff
Tatsuki Arisawa - Wendee Lee (Is there an anime this woman ISN'T in...?)

As you can see, I'm happy with the choice they made.

Ichigo: I love JYB, my favorite VA out there right now. He was great as Vash and I can see him really making a great Ichigo. Seeing JYB as another main character, and in a long running series is GREAT.

Rukia - GREAT choice for her, was always my first pick.

Isshin - Not sure what the logic on this one is, doesn't he usually play younger characters?

Karin - Nothing big here, don't think it's a bad choice.

Orihime- A good solid choice.

Tatsuki- Is there an anime this woman ISN'T in...?

Ishida- This one really snuck up on me, but now that I think of it, it's a pretty good choice.

I read about JYB and Wendee Lee on RB, and really those are the only two I know. JYB really enjoys his voice acting it seems, but I wouldn't mind seeing him do live-action again...

I saw it, but it deserves a thread of its own. It's easier to discuss the choices here than to clog it up in the serious thread.

If you've ever seen the dub of Chobits, Chi is Rukia's VA. She can do mid and low toned voices pretty good though.

At first, I saw OFFICIAL ENGLISH CAST, and Thought immidietly " OOh, Operation Overdrive cast, than I immedietly saw "Johnny Yong Bosch"
and for a moment I was happy.

Then I realized it was for Bleach.

I don't mind bleach, but I really need to catch up. >.<!

I was kinda worried on who they'd cast for this, but they couldn't have picked a better cast. My faith in them is restored.:buttrock:

To help some other posters out with who these people actually are:

Stephanie Sheh - Did Samejima Mamimi in FLCL and is doing Eureka in Eureka 7.

You know, since I read about it on RB, I'm very shocked I didn't read about Derek Stephen Prince doing this anime. Since he's done various PR roles. To help recognize, he's also done Ken, Impmon, and Veemon for Digimon, George Tatsunami in Scryed, and Zazie the Beast for Trigun.

Kate Higgins - Does Talho for Eureka 7 and Kolulu and Megumi in Zatch Bell.


Not a bad list. I've never really watched Bleach in anime form (I'm on 56k, so right now the only shows I download are live-action), so I won't really have any preconceptions going in, which actually might be the best thing.
