Yea This is just a destruction from the Obama admiration from the scandals that they have been getting lately.

Even if they pass this bill it won't make a dent on the internet and people will just ignore just like the DMCA, do you think that the government will but so many people in overcrowded prisons system just because someone cover a Maroon 5 single? or a person living overseas singing Justin Timberlake song and trying to extradite to the U.S for felony charges, that's a lot of tax money and guess what Cooperations aka the entertainment industry are not going to pay for it, you are, the people the oppose this bill.

Do you really... honestly... think that with the scrutiny the government (especially Obama) is under regarding illegal internet spying they'd risk even floating the idea of universally despised internet-use restrictions? Do you think they'd open that incredibly controversial can of worms when they're already trying to deal with the fallout of Edward Snowden's actions?

He should have far better advisors and PR than currently. Even then in this current era, social media can make and break politicians.

His bad PR still won him the last election quite convincingly :laugh:

Anyway I disagree with the idea that people should not worry about it. Yes, the idea that someone else is fighting the fight works most of the time, but Ive seen cases where people's lack of vigilance enabled some stupid bill to pass without hindrance. Everyone who believes should continue the fight in whatever way they can and continue to do so even if doesnt make headlines.
