Novocaine is an upcoming action-comedy starring Jack Quaid (The Boys), Amber Midthunder (Prey), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man and Reginald the Vampire), Ray Nicholson—who is the spitting image of his father, Jack Nicholson—Betty Gabriel (Get Out), and Matt Walsh (Veep). This film is the first time I saw Amber Midthunder act in English, because in Prey spoke mostly in Comanche. In Novocaine, Jack Quaid plays Nathan Caine, a regular guy with a unique condition: he can’t feel pain. His immunity to pain earns him the nickname “Novocaine,” which proves helpful—and hilarious—when he’s thrown into a dangerous situation. Nathan is far from a trained fighter, but when his girlfriend, played by Amber Midthunder, is kidnapped during a bank robbery, he doesn’t hesitate to jump in and try to save her, despite having no experience with combat. Novocaine Trailer Nathan’s pain resistance gives him an edge, allowing him to endure injuries that would stop most people in their tracks. But it also leads to a lot of absurd and over-the-top moments, as he stumbles through one reckless scenario after another. His condition turns into a comedic element as he faces danger without thinking of the consequences. Jacob Batalon’s character constantly reminds […]

This movie sounds like a modern take on Kick-Ass. Both films have a protagonist who doesn't feel pain and uses their unique ability to fight crime. It'll be interesting to see how Novocaine puts a new spin on this concept, especially with its focus on humor and a more grounded approach to the superhero genre.

Ugh, nepotism at its finest. Another movie filled with nepo babies. Jack Quaid, son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, and Ray Nicholson, son of legendary actor Jack Nicholson, getting roles just because of their last names. It's frustrating to see talented actors struggling to get a break while these folks are handed opportunities on a silver platter. Hollywood, please give a chance to those who actually deserve it.

While it's true that having famous parents can certainly open doors in Hollywood, let's not underestimate the hard work and talent of actors like Jack Quaid and Ray Nicholson. They didn't just coast by on their family names; they've actively pursued their craft, taking acting classes, auditioning for roles, and proving themselves time and time again.

It's easy to be cynical about nepotism, but it's also important to recognize that talent and dedication can overcome any advantage. These actors have shown that they have what it takes to succeed, and it's exciting to see what they'll accomplish in the future.

Dude, this sounds awesome! Jack Quaid can't feel pain? That's basically an action hero superpower, right? Plus, it leads to funny moments? Sign me up! This movie seems like the perfect blend of adrenaline rush and laughs. Can't wait to see Nathan just plow through danger without flinching

This is an interesting take on the action hero. Instead of the usual trained fighter, we've got a regular guy with a unique quirk. It's a fun twist that adds a fresh perspective to the genre. I'm curious to see how the romance element plays out alongside the action. Sounds like a decent movie to watch with a friend

Hmm, an action-comedy with a "painless" hero? Sounds a little gimmicky, honestly. I hope the humor doesn't overshadow the action or get too slapstick. But hey, Jack Quaid is a good actor, and Amber Midthunder was fantastic in Prey. Maybe they can elevate the material. I'll give it a shot, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

This is definitely going on my watchlist! Absurd situations and an over-the-top hero? That's my kind of comedy. Plus, the fact that Nathan's girlfriend is a badass too—love that! Sounds like there's a good balance between action and laughs, and the romance sounds sweet. Can't wait to see how they pull it off!

This sounds like a fun popcorn movie, but I wonder if it has any deeper themes. The whole "heart over skill" thing is interesting. Maybe it explores the idea that anyone can be a hero, regardless of training. I might check it out if the reviews are good and see if it offers anything besides laughs and action.

Ooh, Amber Midthunder is in this? I loved her in Prey! Having a strong female lead alongside the quirky hero is a definite plus. I hope her character gets to kick some serious butt too. This movie sounds like it could be a fun escape
