Noir-Talk Up!

Ah, Noir. No, it's not just the name of a movie genre. Noir is a fantastic anime done by the wonderful people at Bee Train. Excellent animation, but that's not the only good thing about Noir. It's got a killer soundtrack and most of the soundtrack (if not ALL) is composed by Yuki Kajiura. I love the animation, and gosh darn it, it is one of my top favorite anime. It may be violent due to the fact that it's about two assassins (One is Mireille Bouqet, a professional assassin for hire who is good with a gun, the other assassin is Kirika Yummura, a teenage Japanese girl who suffers amnesia. The only things she remembers is the word 'Noir' and the fact that she can turn anything, especially silverware into a deadly weapon that can be used to kill.)

So, who else here in HJU has seen it? I definitely recommend this anime to those who can handle violence and isn't too squeamish.

Noir...I loved what little I've seen of it. I especially love the action music 'Salva Nos'. Absolutely incredible track.

I really have to pick this up again sometime.

Ragna-san, you really should pick up this series again. It's really a great series, and the battles are incredible. Not to mention unlike some popular animes (At least, not that I know of), Noir does not suffer from filler syndrome!

It's an okay show, nothing to sing home to but it's not horrendous in anyway. The two main characters are nicely done and the action scenes are pretty cool. But I did get annoyed by the fact that Kirka could kill anything with anything (she shoves a toy chain into a guys spine) and when they were going to do a single kill it took three minutes of them staring at each other mournfully while dramatic music played. It's fine once or twice but when every other episode had it in there it just gets annoying.

The ending annoyed me to no living end (I won't spoil it for you.) and just came off as cheap, illogical and frustrating but the shows not too bad.

Noir's not perfect, I'll admit that. However, as I said, it does have its good points. Primarily, the show itself doesn't suffer from filler syndrome, the character's are fairly well-written, it's got a decent plot, and it's got very good music. The animation is fantastic. You do bring up some good flaws, the only flaw about Noir I see is that the main characters kinda suffer a bit from the deus ex machina fable in that they are the main characters and the fact that when they do get injured, it's not as much as the bad guys. But still, despite those flaws, I believe Noir is a very good anime.

I watched series so far up to episode 6, and im really moved by that particular episode, do we really have right to decide about someone life? We don`t know their motivation, why he or she behave like that....
