New Ultraman Millenium Trailer

UH-OH!!! Thanks for sharing this, Mike!

If this is for real, then Sompote is just begging to be arrested and taken back to court. He really, really, really, really shouldn't be doing this! He does not have the rights to make any Ultraman movies or shows, according to the recent court verdict.

This is just stupid! This is stupid-stupid!

Then again . . . let him! Hopefully, this movie will get him arrested/tried for crime, and put the final nail in Chaiyo's coffin when he goes to jail! Then, Tsuburaya will get their remaining rights back, Pro-Link Co. Ltd. (Tsuburaya's official Thai representatives, who are taking care of the problem in their own country) can get the rights to the rest of the shows in Thailand, and the rest of us will live happily ever after. ;)

And just in time for Ultraman's 40th Anniversary! There IS a god!

If he gets thrown in jail, that will only hold up the case even longer. From what I've read, they do have the rights to make their own show, they just can't market it outside of Thailand.

The trailer itself was...weird, the Ultra action really does feel more "Gigantic" now I guess you could say.

The trailer does make sence in a way. If you had a giant fight in a city, you'd have to see people running away.

It's like those indie Mighty Lady videos, Giant action with clear streets.

Only difference here is that Ultraman doesn't have fanservice :P

Where did you read this, The Nation? If so, their information is inaccurate. I don't trust info from the Thai media, because chances are, it's one-sided information from Chaiyo's representatives. Pro-Link is struggling against this, BTW.

According to the court rulings, Chaiyo does not have any production rights, not even in Thailand (but he does have merchandising rights). So this new movie/series/whatever will only get him in serious trouble.

Damn this is still going on? I thought they dropped this already, I remember seein the first teaser for this back in 2000

what's this? a new ultraman

Yes, albeit an illegal Ultraman. Done without Tsuburaya's consent.

looks awesome

Yeah, it really does, but it's still made with dirty crook hands. By the guys who tried to steal Ultraman from Tsuburaya . . . :nono:

Millennium Ultraman has still been going on, but mostly in merchandise and stage shows, because Chaiyo doesn't have rights to produce any movies & TV shows. They're really asking for it this time.
