Iconiq Studios has been working with Crystal Dynamics to create a Tomb Raider tabletop game. The game was announced earlier this year with few details; now we know a bit more, like the game’s actual name…Tomb Raider: The Crypt Of Chronos. That name implies heroine Lara Croft will be after something that has to do with time. And you’d be correct: The game takes place on the island of Kairos, where Lara is searching for an artifact said to “hold the reins of time.” Expect the usual amount of obstacles, enemies and traps to stand in her way, only on a board instead of a TV screen….but the interesting part is that the official description makes reference to “Natla Technologies.” Those who have been with the series since the beginning should recognize those words. Tomb Raider: The Crypt Of Chronos is designed to support solo play, and no matter who’s playing only one character (Lara) will be controlled, but Iconiq swears that somehow works.
