Honestly this video just pisses me off. Why? Because there's this growing trend of uber-sex in J-pop nowadays that just reeks of Britney Speakers/Christina Skankulera/Shakira..you get the picture.
I noticed it starting with Koda Kumi, then GAM, then Koda Kumi's own sister for crying out loud and now friggin' Viyuuden's new single has them dancing around in bunny girl outfits in their PV. I understand "wanting to express yourself" but there's a fine line between expression and publicity. Remember how we all heckled at "FUN TIME" and the PV that followed it? With that in mind, the whole thing reeks of desparation maneuver and just going along with the flow.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not all against that sort of thing, it's just when it's reduced to the equivalent of Shakira chest thrusting to get attention that really gets on my nerves.
I just hope to god that this trend doesn't start affecting everybody, last thing I want to see is Morning Musume in the next episode of Countdown TV re-enacting the ever so popular Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue's Jack and Jill-Off...

^ I gotta disagree with you there dude. To use the acts you mentioned, while GAM's PVs (particularly Melodies) have been moving more along the "ero" edge than what H!P is used to, neither have been as "skanky" as Koda's have been lately. In Koda's PVs, she's portrayed as an outright ho, bumpin' and grindin' and thrustin' her ass and boobs at you. But GAM's PVs just has the girls doing simple dances. Except for the kiss at the end of Melodies (which, in all honesty, wasn't that big of a deal to anyone except to the wota), GAM does nothing even remotely similar to anything that Koda or Spears have done. Koda is considered hot because of her over-eroticized persona. GAM is hot too, but their PVs have a much more elegant, subtler and artistic way of showing it which (IMO) is by no means distasteful. With Viyuden, sure in their latest PV they're wearing outfits reminiscent of the Playboy bunny outfits, but it's all tongue-in-cheek fun, especially when you pair the PV with the song itself (which by no means has a sultry or seductive tone to it). If Rika, Erika, and Yui start getting outfits like these for their next 5 singles, THEN you'd be justified in saying that they're becoming "uber-sexed". But geez man, it's just one PV. Besides, if you're going to get pissed at anyone, get pissed at the management. After all it's usually them, and not the idols themselves, who decide what their image is going to be for PVs and public appearances.
