One of Free League’s longest-running RPGs is Mutant: Year Zero, based on the classic Swedish TTRPG Mutant which was first released back in 1984. The Free League version has received several expansions, and the latest, titled Ad Astra, takes the series where it’s never gone before — outer space. A February 13 release date was just announced for the game.

Ad Astra is blowing my mind right now. I can't believe we're finally taking the post-apocalyptic adventure to outer space! The concept of exploring space stations above Earth adds a whole new dimension to the game. I've already preordered, and the countdown to February 13th feels like forever. Who else is ready to embark on this cosmic journey?

While I appreciate the creativity of Mutant: Year Zero, I can't help but wonder if the space theme might dilute the gritty, grounded essence that made the original game so captivating. Space exploration feels like a leap—pun intended. I'll reserve judgment until I see how well the narrative and mechanics integrate. What do you all think? Intrigued or skeptical?

Having played Mutant since its 1984 release, seeing it evolve into Ad Astra is heartwarming. The shift to space is unexpected, but I'm ready for this new chapter. Jens Alm and Kim W. Andersson have rarely disappointed, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's hope they've maintained the essence that made Mutant a classic.

Mutant Year Zero has always been about storytelling for me. The imagery of a city hanging weightlessly beneath the stars is poetic yet eerie. I'm already dreaming up character backgrounds for this space adventure. Who else thinks the cracked satellite dishes are hiding some incredible secrets? February 13 can't come soon enough!

Kim W. Andersson's involvement has me sold. The visuals in Mutant Year Zero have always been stellar, and having an award-winning comic book artist on board is a game-changer. Can't wait to see how the illustrations bring the space stations to life. This might just be the most visually stunning Mutant yet!

Okay, I admit I'm late to the Mutant Year Zero party, but Ad Astra has gets my interest. Exploring space stations with a post-apocalyptic twist? Count me in. And the fact that you can play it as a stand-alone or continue from the core rulebook? Perfect for newcomers like me. Preordered and ready to dive into this unique RPG experience!
