Metroid Prime Hunters Punishes Early Disconnecters

Don't try turning the DS off to avoid a loss in Metroid Prime Hunters.
The latest in the Metroid series will sport a new feature which punishes players who disconnect from games early in order to avoid recording a loss on their records. Part of each player's Hunter's License, or online identification, will display the Connection Percentage, which shows how often a player disconnects from online play. This can improve the online experience, as Mario Kart DS has seen countless instances of racers disconnecting early.
Nintendo Software Technology's Rich Vorodi explains how the system will work: "Everyone starts out on the same page with 100%, and as you disconnect the percentage will lower. Before you start a game with someone you can see the Connection Percentage and decide if you want to play with that person."
Vorodi also says that the game can tell if the disconnect was intentional or not, as well, meaning that players who are disconnected due to power loss or poor wi-fi signal should not be penalized for it.
Metroid Prime Hunters hits stores on March 20th.

Now that's just crazy!! I love that idea, it's brilliant!!!!
