hey i'm just saying.

also it's not only those people who likes it. the people who hates us, the things too seriously too.

Every aspect of society will hate on something.

The "mature" adults hate on the ones that still play video games, watch cartoons and demand that they grow up.

Those people who take part in fandom look down on the extreme fans.

And the extreme fans look down on those who don't understand them.

A circle.

I totally understand what you call "extreme fandom" because I just call it "passion." I'm sort of guilty of that; I'm a walking encyclopedia for things like warp drive and stargates, but I suck at real science.

I haven't watched the video yet, but that guy in the thumbnail with the anime headband deserves to have the Sun dropped on him.

Something like that what most people do irritates me, i don't think i'm the only one.

There's a difference between the walking wiki's and the other "extreme fans" like the latter in your post. Usually the former can say intelligible things.

But lets not turn this thread into bashing the crappy parts of the fandom.

PR at its best for me reminds me of taking a mish-mash of my toys, getting together with some friends and battling imaginary monsters.

I like seeing them borrow from this or that, cuz like with the new series... it's basically a high budget version of what my friends and I used to do after seeing Mad Max.

"Okay... I got my Captain Power machine gun... we can use our bikes as cars... let's pretend we're fighting robots.... oh! Lemme grab my He-Man sword too!"

I love that ****.

We used to make Power Armor by taking summer fold out chairs, turning them upside down and punching our arms out the side.... which is what some battlizers look like.

I have to say, the Kalish Era stuff didn't give me that feel.... I liked what I saw and would have LOVED it as a kid, but it just wasn't for me. Lost Galaxy gave me childhood flashbacks in a BIG way, as did In Space.

I remember setting up our porch to being a big spaceship using just all sorts of stuff to be the gun consol.... space suits.... and other various instruments.
