Due to the fact that our family does not really celebrate Thanksgiving, my dad and I decided to start our own tradition......let me be the first to present you, Sushi Thanksgiving!
This was all I ate during lunch today. If you think about it, sushi is much more nutritious and less fattening than turkey, stuffing, and all of those other ****. Plus, I am not really a turkey fan anyways, I prefer chicken anytime!
ROUND 1 - Large Sapporo beer, temaki sushi (eel), three pieces of salmon nigiri sushi, two pieces of tuna nigiri sushi, two pieces of baked eel nigiri, three pieces of salmon/philly roll, two pieces of scallop nigiri, three pieces of albacore nigiri sushi.
ROUND 2 - A second serving of the same thing. It was pretty good so I asked for another one.
ROUND 3 - A third serving of hand rolled sushi (spicy tuna this time), two pieces of unagi (eel) nigiri sushi, two pieces of salmon skin nigiri, a piece of tuna nigiri, two pieces of salmon, two pieces of red snapper, a piece of a Philly roll, and two pieces of shrimp tempura.
ROUND 4 - Three small pieces of edamame (soybeans), two pieces of shrimp nigiri, two pieces of salmon nigiri, two pieces of albacore, two pieces of shrimp tempura, a piece of sardine nigiri, and two pieces of green mussels. Note that I already finished my large Sapporo halfway!
ROUND 5 - Now that my beer is all gone, I decided to substitute it with water. I never drink soda while eating all you can eat sushi because it fills you up pretty easily! I then started eating a bowl of "delishus" Udon!!
INTERMISSION - I was distracted when I saw this big fountain of chocolate!
ROUND 6 - For dessert, I decided to go for some tiramisu, two slices of coconut cakes, a slice of leche flan, andd a marshmallow dipped in chocolate.
ROUND 7 - To commemorate the sweet and yummy crepes found in Japan (especially the ones in Harajuku), I decided to go for a a second serving of dessert and got some strawberry crepes. Damn, this thing could not even fit in the plate! It might not be as tasty as the ones from Japan but it still gets the job done!!
