Mike Chat and the Shark Boy

I just wouldnt have expected it from him. He's good at what he does, but he's very self-appreciative, especially now, for whatever reason. If he'd make some good movies, it'd be different.

Yes but I'd like to see a return to his gritty, low budget style filmmaking instead of just shooting out of his garage with CGI and Greenscreen.

I absolutely love the idea behind Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Super fun and unashamed... that which we love most in Tokusatsu and Power Rangers.

The Spy Kids movies I've seen were excellent I they've made a damn good amount of money, so it's obvious kids and their parents love the movies.

I'd be more than willing to give it a chance. I admire him to no end for being about to go from a film noir to a kids action adventure flick I think shows the chops of a master film maker who's not afraid to go against what the mainstream thinks he should be doing, but instead does what he would love to do most.

One of my favorite movie critics tho that I tend to agree with that loved Spy Kids and Sin City says that Shark Boy just doesn't live up to its pedigree, but still.... I'm definately willing to give it a chance someday.

He does what he wants and likes what he does... I doubt we've seen the end of his low budget grit days by a long shot.

It IS Mike Chatarantabut, but it's the Sharkboy from Bob Rodriguez's new action adventure kiddy waste of time Sharkboy and Lava Girl.
