Michael Bay to Head Upcoming TMNT Live-Action Movie

I love how everyone is getting up in arms that his PRODUCTION company (which happens to attach his name to movies) is producing this, and he isn't writing or directing this. Can't we just wait till the movie comes out before we all scream fail? The movie could be great depending on writers and directors and actors. I understand that people hate his movies, but this isn't his movie. It just has his name on it. And lets face it, having Michael Bay's name on it is free publicity, for better or for worse, and tend to make money. Even the horrible Nightmare on Elm Street remake.

How about no?

And ROFL! You're giving him way too much credit

Micheal Bay has the Midas touch of turning anything into an anal prolapse of lowest common denomination crap, even if he's not directing.

Yet, I've never been a big fan of Teenage mutant ninja turtles so all I have to say to TMNT fans around the world is:

At last people will stop calling TMNT III and Venus de Milo the worse things to happen to series. I actually like both TMNT III and Next Mutation.

TMNT III was better as a Direct to Video/Original Cable Movie and Venus should have done Kung Fu...MYSTIC NINJA ARTS MY @$$...:shakefist

More than anything Shinto Priestess at the bare bones minimum.

Even if he's not directing I bet it'll still show in the editing room. The camera will be forbidden to stay on any one shot of anything for more than half a microsecond. So you'll see these green blobs whipping past on the screen with no chance to get an idea of which Turtle it actually is and what the hell they're doing in the fight.

I also find it funny how some people are trying so hard to predict how the movie will play out, which leads to guesses in the plot and so fourth being extremely unfaithful to what we know TMNT should be. Isn't Bay the same guy who got together with Transformers fans and past creators to help give him guidance in how the movies should be made? Okay, he took some creative liberties here and there, especially with the second movie, but does that really make him a predictable cliche?

He didn't get together with any fans, and he only worked with Hasbro since they own the name in the US. His movies made them a ton of money so I would bet they could care less about what he does. He's been a predictable cliche since before TF1. And about that first part, it's called a discussion.
