Mac screen saving

VengeanceGOD

WIIIIIIIIIIII!
So hey, I was wondering if someone could help me out. I've got a MacBook Pro, and I'd like to use it to watch Gekiranger while I exercise, but about every two minutes the screen darkens, and then goes black. I know this is just there to protect the screen, but is there a way to temporarily disable it? I've extended the time until the screen saver comes on, but that doesn't affect it.

System Preferences > Energy Saver > Sleep (tab) >

Put the display to sleep when the computer is inactive for: Never.

(You might also want to "Put computer to sleep when the computer is inactive for: Never.)

Exactly what Blackbird said. But make sure to check what the settings are for, battery or adapter. I personally wouldn't leave it to never for the battery.

Although, what program are you using? VLC doesn't have sleep cut on while a movie is playing.

 I understand, but I used to have that problem too when watching movies. I naturally blamed the preferences, but sleep/screen saver shouldn't really kick in when a movie is playing... so I just blamed whatever video player I was using. XD

Yeah, what Toronoko said. I generally keep my lappy plugged in (it's an ancient G3 powerbook) when I watch movies and stuff like that, and have adjusted my settings accordingly.

Depending on the program you're in, it will override the laptop's powersaver and dim settings.
