What's a tansu? I have no idea what that Katakana means.... or the "N" could probably be a "so" cuz they frickin confuse me all the time!!

I've honestly haven't run into that word before, but seems to be his closet. Since he asks his son to get his necktie for him, which is how the boy makes the discovery.
