FF13 Lightning is the most rude Final Fantasy hero

I'd consider the in team attitude to be more friendly. You can see that such type of attitude is what she was supposed to do and would inspire the gamers. So I think it was done intentionally.

She is one of the most hated main characters for that reason. Maybe her being rude would have worked if she is an anti-hero.

Imagine a male main character who beats up his team mates including the females. Yup there will be lots of controversy but Lightning is a woman so she gets a pass. She is able to getaway with it. Just imagine if you will switch the roles between her and Snow.

Yeah there is a double standard and Lightning got a pass because she is a woman. Squall is kind of rude but he never hurt his team mates nor slapped a woman who is a member of his team. Lighting is super abusive to her teammates like an Asian Parent who got mad because their child's grade is an A negative instead of an S or an A+.

Yes I can Imagine a male lead who is like Lightning, He always punch and slaps his team mates, including the women. He will be so controversial for sure.

She is actually the most popular protagonist in Japan. Tsundere character tropes is well embraced there. They like female characters who are sassy and rude to her male colleagues. I also have a huge dislike of her due to her treatment of her teammates. There is a clear double standards because she got a pass because she is a female.

I am just glad that after Lightning returns there won't be another FF13 game because Lightning returns is such a bad game and Lightning is a combination between a Mary Sue and a jerk.

I need to defend my girl so here we go. I love Lightning because she is not apologetic and doesn't care what people thinks. Well her being rude is a great thing because it makes her a flawed character. Flawed characters are more relatable than perfect goodie 2 shoes people. There is a reason why Anti-heroes are more popular than superheroes these days.

I don't know what you are smoking but she is far from inspiring. She is the most dislikable protagonist in the history of this game and she is not original too because she is like an amalgamation of Squall and Cloud.

Say what you want against Lightning but at least she managed to have 3 games while Noctis got all his dlc cancelled. That shows Lightning is more marketable and successful.

@Benji25 Lightning is mad worried about her sister. She wants to save her sister that is why she behaved this way. I think any person who experience such stress will be grumpy too. What is with the Lightning Hate on this forum?

She is also one of the least original main characters ever. Final Fantasy 13 plagiarized a lot of plot from 7 and 8. I mean this animation explains everything how unoriginal Lightning is.

It is like a legal form of Plagiarism.
