L'arc~en~ciel

****, there seems to be a large fanbase for this band here.

The band has always had a large fanbase honestly. They're quite the mainstream J-rock band. They've been around since `94. I use to be a big fan, but I'm getting so into J-indie bands these days I'm losing touch with the band.

If I can, I wanna import in one of their albums. I went into my local HMV today, took a look at their world music section and was disgusted to see that there was NO Japanese music there! They even had bloody Cuban and South American music! So I said to a clerk "Dude, Where the **** is your Japanese music? You'd sell a lot of copies if you got in some L'arc en Ciel albums!" And I got chucked out the store.... :shakefist :redface2: :nono:

LOL yeah I know, I notice that a lot too. But that's just how American society is at this moment. Slowly Japanese bands are getting releases in the US, even the lesser known bands. Just gotta give it some time I suppose.

now hooked with Stay Away...:buttrock:

Yeah Stay Away is one of my favorite songs by them. Very fun to try and sing along too. Of course since I cant mimik the japanese language too well, I end up replacing the words with "meow"s

I wanted to buy their Otakon dvd, to bad it was sold out.

Heh, I was at that concert, it was pretty decent. HUUUUUUUUGE line to get in, but I have a few friends in the industry, so I sat in the industry section.
