Here's the background info in case anyone doens't know what Kouhaku is.

At this year's event (held 2006-12-31) one of the performers for the men's/red team, DJ OZMA, caused quite a hub-bub through his background dancers. Now normally, when he's performed this song (Age Age EVERY KISHI aka Age Age EVERY KNIGHT), they strip down to their undies, which is kind of shocking for the traditionally reserved Japanese. Well here they ....

[hide]Just to reassure everyone, the girls were wearing nude-coloured bodysuits. They painted nipples on the bodysuits, which lead people to believe they were really nekkid. :laugh: Apparently during the American re-broadcast of Kouhaku, they censored out the "nudie" footage by showing scenes of a beach during the performance. You could still hear them singing and stuff, but instead of seeing the Kouhaku footage, you saw a beach. :laugh: [/hide]
