I get the feeling if they did that far the interest would have long died off.

Really they should take these designs and do original feature length episodes. Instead of remakes they should just make a 2 hour episode of the original show and bring back some of the more popular kaijin.

I mean why do the whole restart thing when it would be easier to just use the established timeline or a popular manga plot and go from there? Hell if they really wanted to get the fanboys going they could just make a really good cross over movie. Combined the original generation with the new more mechanical ones and force them to work together.

Hell thanks to Hyper Kabuto they pretty much have a universe hoping rider ready to screw the timelines up. All they have to do is have Tendou accidentally screw up time travel (and hence disable clock up as using it in an unstable universe such as the cross over would make it collapse in on it's self). From there you just cherry pick popular Riders (original 3, Black RX, Blade, Chalice and Faiz would work well I think) and have them trying to sort out the timeline while dealing with the massive amount of kaijin in the wild attacking the people who got stuck in the universal collapse.

Either way even if The Next sucks we will still have a really beautifully styled film to watch, which while shallow will amuse us all any way.

Actually, i don't se this movie as "made for fanboys". The First was so different from all new-gen KR movies, and i'd rather see it as an attempt to get new fans too.
