Wow, I can't wait to see what kind of lame star-crossed shocker kaijin love story they shoe-horn into this POS. I'm sure it will feature lots of lame wire fu and a plot that bears little resemblance to the story of V3 just like The First did for the original series. And way to say **** the classic design of V3 and make another suit that looks like ass. Man does Ishinomori's family really need the money this bad to keep oking crap like this?

wow just wow, you haven't even seen the previews and you're already willing to smash and bash the movie, so the first was diffrerent, but it was good different, if you want the old v3 that badly they released it out on DVD have fun with it, but at least give it a chance before you so willingly bash the movie :redface2:

It's okay to speak your mind and have your own tastes, but you don't seem to realize how much trouble productions go through to make a movie.

And speaking as a stuntman in Japan, you should really try to see the bigger picture.

Sometimes the productions don't really turn out to be what they are. I bet that the cast and crew that worked on The First had intended to make something completely different from the final cut. But time and money probably took that away from them.

As for the "lame wire-fu", us stuntmen work our asses off setting-up, planning and executing this stuff. It ain't exactly a cakewalk man. I've worked with some really talented people over here and they do nothing less than the best that they got.

Try to see the whole picture before ya start to judge there buddy.

*Daisuke* as Kazami Shiro. That is sad. I'm sorry I just have a hard time envisioning him in the part at all. Not to say the actor IS his character but still... :nono:

The suit is not bad..I think they could've done more to improve on the belt though.

The biggest thing to me is they need to not let what happened to the First happen to this one. The films total obsession ..no it's total prioritizing of the Cobra and Snake as angsty teenagers story over the Riders really hurts it. I understand what they were trying to establish (Yes Shocker is sadistic as hell. We get it.) but that twist you could've done just fine without having it be a whole involved subplot. Their really friggin odd take on Ichimonji Hayato's backstory hurts to but that by itself I could've just rolled with even though its very WTF.

Now personally, I LIKE wire-fu alot as long as there's a nice distribution between it and actual hand to hand work which I think The First really had right up until cry for the kaijin time.

I like the first movie despite it's slow progress, and though I never saw V3, I'll enjoy the second one....but I'd like to see it go really dark in story and hope there are some surprises I wouldn't expect to see.

In terms of actors, they definitely could have done worse than Kato. If you ignore the fact that he did Daisuke, he was pretty good in Jigoku Shoujo. The suit looks good, but not like an updated V3 at all.

So is this going to be a theatrical release or a v-cinema like the rumors said?

Yeah, the V3 design needs to grow on me.

But on the bright side, the weathering on Rider 1 and 2's helmets are great.
