Kamen Rider Ryuki

I just finished watching episode 7 with HK subs. It wasn't too bad, but it also could've gone without the name changes (Shinji becomes Janse, Ren becomes Lian), and somehow what sounded like it was supposed to be "Shoot Vent" was translated as "Jet Plane Landing".

And Chad, I don't think we have to worry about Dragon Knight becoming the next Saban's Masked Rider. Judging by the trailer for it I found on YouTube, it looks like Steve Wang is taking this project pretty seriously. And it looks damn good.

Oh well, I bet Faiz would be damn intresting to adapt; then again the Creationists would probably eat up the idea of evolved humans being badguys.

I have faith in Steve Wang. He's a Kamen Rider fan, he wouldn't dick us over.

Anyway, I too was skeptical in watching Ryuki. First I wanted to watch it reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally badly (check my threads). However, I got over the bad HK/Korean bootleg subs and... I enjoyed the entire series.

I do hope TVN does plan on finishing Ryuki though. It's still in their "ON HOLD" section.

I watched the Ryuki HK subs since it was all I could find. I really got lost at points given how lousy it was. Some characters received completely new names. Sometimes a character would refer to another by a completely different character's name. Aside from that, it wasn't too bad. Not close to coherant, but you can pretty much deduce everything that occured through reading online.

it was enough to get me to avoid HK subs when I have the option to, at least.

Chad Hyou what is wrong with that?.. I don't know the "Saban's Masked Rider" series you talk about is so don't get whatever comment you're trying to make

The comment he's trying to make is that this will be horrible. :redface2: "Saban's Masked Rider" was the US hackjob of BLACK RX. It was terrible, even Ishinomori himself hated it. So yeah, he's saying it doesn't look good so far.

As for Ryuki, it was the first Rider series I finished, and I had mixed feelings about it..I'm trying to get around to watching Kuuga soon, since it was the first bit of KR that I actually watched, and I really enjoyed the episodes I've seen.

The main problem I had with Ryuki was that the show was a bit confusing and the focus on the stupid cards and such was irritating after a while. Plus the ending sucked...alot. I hope that somehow Dragon Knight can at LEAST improve the ending (which, in a way, I think they will HAVE to do..)
