Drew was the same way, Kitaoka on the other hand was entirely different

And in all honesty, I like Drew WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than I like Kitaoka

The guy was just a geniune asshole in so many ways that it wasn't even funny

Though Gai and Imperer were worse truth be told

I like Kitaoka more. When I watched Ryuki, I figured he was another character like Scissors, who was just a bad guy, but more of a coward, but I later saw that he had his own reasons for fighting that went beyond what Scissors had. His reason was selfish, but he changed and he died a good character.

Drew was weak. I was so glad the guy got vented. He kept running until the end.

I like Kitaoka more. The only characters that I sided with despite their misguided were Alternative Zero and Tiger

They wanted to stop the fighting and destroy the mirror world for good, even if personal sacrifices had to be made

I know the reasons the Alternatives and Tiger had, but that wasn't the way to do it. Shinji knew that and he asked them to find another way. The problem is that it was the easiest way and that it was the most certain way and that's why Shinji was conflicted, but he still knew it wasn't the way to do it.

Kitaoka also said that because the Alternatives and Tiger were trying to be the heroes, that they could not be the heroes. That's another point for Kitaoka and the philosophical views in Ryuki.

Gai was truly one of the most annoying characters in the show. Spoiled, bored rich kid who could have used a good ass kicking in the real world as well as the mirror world.

Imperer was worse, he kept siding with everyone hoping to get paid

I was happy that got vented, but slightly sad when things turned around for him and he got a high paying job and a love interest

I'm glad Asakura got that guy.


Imperer wasn't worse. He was just looking to get rich fast. His death was tragic because he finally had everything and he had given up the fight.
