It's more like, what is not Canon for W?

Every single appearance of W seem to be canon, which is way I love that series so much.

From the description I think what it meant to say when it's "different to the series" in that, even though it's being released in August, it's events take place in the series' timeline back in June so there is the possibility that it's not an AU but more like a side story.

We know that they don't take place there due to the Greeeds being together though. That kind of indirect answer is pretty common when Japanese talk about continuity for some reason.

The only AU W I can see is W's appearance in Let's Go Kamen Rider. Or maybe that's just another Decade's powers of bringing all main riders into that world.

Let's just hope OOO's part in the next movie war is somehow canon. Even if it is AU, make it obvious (like Kabuto movie, wait, that's non-canon, no?)

Back to the movie, I really wish this Eiji is not that Eiji that's too stoopeed to think of his own. I want the 1/2 wise Eiji, just like in the series. Not that Gold-P Eiji like in the movie war...

"We don't know ourselves. But I think it's set during 1-2 days in the TV series."

The producer only said that this is supposed to have happened during June. It's only premiering in August. What happens in August in the TV series will be different from the movie, because the movie has already happened. It's just that the movie isn't going to try and connect itself with the TV series during August.

There's nothing saying that it's not canon in these interviews. But it makes no sense, since Uva is with the other Greeeds doing a group photo.

Basically it talks about how GataKiriBa only appeared twice in the series. (YES TWICE, SATONAKA SAID THAT, don't put your hopes high, you're probably never gonna see it again) Yeah and Mr. GataKiriBa starts to count LaTorarTar appeared 5 times, ShaUTa 5 times. And then Satonaka gets the calculator and talks about CG COST.

Thankfully at the end, you see that GataKiriBa spamming appears again in the movie.
