Watched ep.2. It would have been more honest if they just had a camera rotate around a display for half an hour. ..and when there isn't toy pimping it's just even more random idiocy and the kind of convoluted power system that comes from the first draft of a fanfic.

So, I just finished watching the second episode. And all I have to say is:

What?

I'm not entirely sure what the hell I just saw. It also doesn't help I saw *this* after coming off the first episode which wasn't all that bad. Granted, Cake Dude's super bombastic screen chewing after his solemn monotone singing in the first episode was pretty funny but, overall, it's pretty much crashed and burned for many various reasons.

I think I'd really need some type of written apology or dudes coming out before the next episode and saying they'd taken some awesome drugs while writing the second and basically saying it'd never happen again. And I doubt I'm getting that. But, at least I got a good ringtone out of it.

Wrapped up episode 2 as well. Basically any good stuff they built up in the first ep got kinda wizzed down the leg. It's like they wanted to make the Ryutaro/Momotaros dynamic and made Momo a dick.

Lots of setting exposision, lots of toys... Eiji could have been as a heroic hobo kind of character but they had to tease a Tragic Backstory with him as well. Cake Dude's tirade was wild and over the top, as having a series as toyetic as OOOs using the evil of human desire and consumption is quite a thing.

Totally unrelated Rider News: Finished the first arc of Super-1 a couple weeks ago where Dogma Kingdom was defeated, it was good and harmless Showa goodness. Not sure if I want to get into the second half, as it has the kid's league and goofier object monster.

I think all the fun comes from how insane and idiotic it is. I wouldn't call this a good show from what I've seen, but I think it's at least fun. Didn't really dig that flashback if anything.

Well, with OOO, maybe it's because I figure if it was serious all the way, the writing flaws would be more glaring to me like with Shinkenger.

Especially here. I mean the episode explained how the core and cell medals work, it setup the brother/sister relationship, and showed how even though even Ankh is teaming with Eiji he doesn't care for humans. Yeah there was toy plugging but you act like this isn't Kamen Rider. There's toy plugging every episode. You make it sound so empty...
