The 2000 concert had some, at least the OP themes and I think one of the Black RX songs.
I haven't seen the 2004 concert yet, but it sounds pretty stripped-down from what 2000 was- no costumed stage show antics (I'm a sucker for those :anime: ), no Aniki, no Rider actors actually representing any of the shows from which the songs are taken (except for Fujioka & Miyauchi, who were at the 2000 show anyway) and some real B-list songs ("Sittin' on the Dynamite" is okay, but I can think of at least seven or eight other Agito songs I'd pick over it. And no "Fire Bird"?) . And no Rolly! What's up with that?
Say what you will about their singing, but I'd love to see a concert where they get some of the new actors to do their character songs- at least get Amano on "rebirth", since he's now semi-pursuing a singing career thanks to it. Mix in some old Rider actors, some real singers like in 2000, and bigger-budgeted stage show antics.
The 2000 concert had covers of the Black OP (a cool one by Rolly) and RX OP (a not so cool one by Jin Hashimoto -- whose voice is more suited for the Black and RX endings). The only other RX song at 2000, I believe, was "Towa no tame ni Kimi no tame ni." Check out Super Hero Spirits 2000 to see and hear Takayuki Miyauchi do the RX OP and the RX filler whose name I forget the Japanese title of, but I think the English is "Everything is for Loving You."
The 2000 one was much more fun than the 2004, which is just a dull concert in which they take themselves WAY too seriously -- my guess is because it's mostly new Rider songs and they get "real" rock musicians to sing those and not the typical anisong singers who cut loose and know how to have fun -- an Aniki or Kage-chan type. In fact, the only singer who looks to enjoy himself at 2004 is Shinichi Ishihara, all with one song! I wish he had done "Burnin' Your Heart" though, or, at the very least, a cover of "Believe Yourself."
BTW, my reaction was the same as yours -- "They got Keiko Terada, awesome! What!!? No f----n' 'Fire Bird'!?!?!" That song gets my vote for best on the Ryuki soundtrack, and is lightyears beyond Gravitation.
And, yes, Rolly rules! He also knows how to have fun at concerts (of course), and I would love to see and hear "Deep Breath" live. And Rolly, IMO, has done the coolest version of "Kamen Rider no Uta," that if he WERE there at 2004's concert to hear m.c.A.T's awful cover (complete with a rap bridge), I think Rolly would step on him like he stepped on that dog in "Jisatsu Circle."
As for the actors singing, there was the event Faiz Battle Talk Show, in which I believe the actors sung their character songs, that was released to DVD. Too bad I only liked "hang on" and HATE Faiz and the people in it. I'd much rather have the Blade concert, just to see and hear Ryouji Morimoto sing "take it a try," because he's actually pretty good and puts some energy into that song.
I saw that Amano is trying to further a singing career, but did you see Takashi Hagino now try to go for a singing AND modelling career? It's sort of made me lose respect for him. He was a real, seriously trained actor, and now he's sunk to trying to become a simple idol.
I think I would have rather they released Masked Rider Live 2001 -- it was almost the same set list as 2000, but with Agito songs (Ishihara did some more and covered Amazon, Rolly did Deep Breath) PLUS Kashuu, Kaname and Tomoi were there along with Fujioka and Miyauchi...
