Kamen Rider Live Concert 2004 - Talkback

Forever Knight

Eye See You
I watched it last night and I gotta be honest I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LOVE THE IDEA OF BANDS PERFORMING THE SONGS ON STAGE!!!!!!!!!.

I even heard this was the weakest Concert so far but I really enjoyed it.

Most enjoyable songs/parts:

-Justi555 opening.
-Kuuga OP and then the Kuuga suit actor comes out and poses during the song.
-Agito OP.
-Ryuki OP.
-V3 OP was excellent with the Legend himself showing up and singing it. I must add all those classic songs sound 1000x better with the newer heavier sound.

The only downfall of this "HK" was there were no subs. It didn't really bother me but I was sorta pissed. Either way an excellent grab if you like J-Rock and Toku theme songs.

btw, that Keiko girl is smokin'.

I bought it this time last year when it was released by Toei -- I don't know why I was excited about it -- many of the songs were already performed at Masked Rider Live '00 and there were only three new songs I was interested in (Agito OP, Ryuki OP, 2nd Ryuki ED).

So, the concert left me sort of cold. I thought it took itself way too seriously -- the concerts where tokusatsu or anime themes are performed generally have a much more fun atmosphere to them. Masked Rider Live '00 definitely has '04 beat in the fun area, but I'm still loving Super Sentai Spirits '04, which I think has the Masked Rider Lives beat.

The Rider Chips did a good job playing Justifaiz live (which I thought wouldn't happen since that's a real canned type song), but why couldn't they get ISSA? He's a crap singer, but he's amazing compared to m.c.A.T's choppy cover.

And I've been so in love with Keiko Terada, it's kind of sick, really. You'd never know she was 43...and her old band from the 80s, Show-Ya, really kicks ass, too. Is she the only female Japanese singer that isn't a squeaky, bubbly, bouncing, manufactured idol type?

What was the guitarists name?

I loved everything that guy did on the guitar.

LoL once again with the MILFs eh Shougo. :eplus2: :198:

Yoshio Nomura. You can spot him in Missing Ace, too, as the guitar player in the Jacaranda. He and the other Rider Chips also did voice for the Ant Lords in Project G4, but you'd really never know since all they did was snarl.

Awesome man thanks.

I gotta go back through my old Kuuga tapes and check out the 2000 Live concert. I rmember not even watching it back then bc I didn't give a **** and PR was the top **** for me.

I was dissapointed that there was no Black or RX theme song performed. :bawling:

There's covers of the Black and RX TV size OPs on the 2000 one...the Black one rules! The RX one stinks...

Check out Super Hero Spirits 2000 to see the real RX OP performed...Takayuki Miyauchi should really stomp the crap out of Jin Hashimoto for that lousy cover...

Still need to see this sometime. Isn't Fujioka there to do "Let's Go!! Rider Kick" again? I hope they get Sasaki Takeshi to do it live some time, I actually like his version the most.

Yep. Although he looks like he really, really doesn't want to be there.

I think if they do another Masked Rider Live that, like you said, instead of the same old Fujioka and Miyauchi (no matter how much of a legend they are to KR), they should get Takeshi Sasaki. And Tetsuo Kurata would be nice, too. Just as long as he doesn't sing "Ore no Seishun." I'm partial to Black, so I'd also book Toshiya Igarashi and Norio Sakai...forget Masayuki Tanaka and Jin Hashimoto, how many more times can the Japanese audience want to hear the same two Kuuga songs?

Takeshi Sasaki was at one of the Red Spirits events last year, so I know he doesn't seem to be "above" appearing at events. Unlike Kurata...
