Kamen Rider Gaiden (remake)

Lin was suprised at the Professor's request, but she didn't show it on her face. Now we have to involve the police into this? Couldn't we just find a capable user for Savage here? "I understand, Professor. I'll bring her here." Saluting the Professor, Lin left his office and went back to the garage to get her motorcycle. Driving towards the hospital, Lin was unsure about having a new partner so soon...

Daiki slowly walked through his door, and to the kitchen. His stomach rumbled. Fighting takes a lot out of a person. He grabbed a banna and some pudding, and ate them. It wasn't filling, but it was enough for a snack. He wondered even more about the strange phone and belt. Was this like the show? Did this people have the title "Rider"? What was mom going to make for supper? All these questions, and more, haunted him.

When Sapphira had finally came around, she came to realize that she was no longer within the shadows of the alley, but rather lying on a bed within an unfamiliar room. Next to her bed was a silver plate with food (still warm from the steam rising) and two glasses (one juice and the other water). The room itself was quite sterile and quiet, having a beautiful view of the city. The only place that came into mind, that someone must found her and taken Sapphira to the nearest hospital. It was difficult to say for certain, for she was the only one within the room.

Reaching the hospital, Lin parked her motorcycle and entered. Receiving the cop's name from the professor on the way over, she asked a nearby nurse where her room was. Being denied at first, Lin sighed as she flashed a false police badge from her pocket. Since MAXI's true intentions were hidden from the public, operatives like Lin were given false credentials to get what they needed. The nurse, falling for the ruse, told Lin the room number and apologized for keeping her from a fellow officer. Making her way to the cop's room, Lin saw a doctor speaking to the young cop and then shortly leaving, giving the MAXI officer a chance to speak with her.

Lin was a bit disappointed when she saw her new partner up close, though it didn't change her stoic expression. How did this innocent-looking girl become a cop in the first place? What's the professor thinking?! "Officer Sakura, my name is Lin Hashimoto. I'm here to take you to MAXI Headquarters. It's about what you witnessed earlier...."

Having her ribs taped up with a few rolls of bandages, Sakura immediately watched an attractive blonde woman walk in as the doctor left. A look of seriousness immediately appeared on her face as the blonde woman -- Lin Hashimoto -- asked her about what she saw earlier. "I take it you are that 'Kamen Rider' from the earlier fight, am I not right," Sakura inquired, fully aware of the fact that in all her time as an Ivalice Police officer, she did not see Lin anywhere inside Police headquarters.

Ho, at least she's quick. "I'll just cut to the chase then. Yes, I was that 'Kamen Rider', if you want to call it that. This isn't the place to talk about this, however. We can talk about this on the way over to HQ." She said, waiting for the young woman's response, though it mattered little. She was willing to take her in by force if it came to that.

Upon hearing the blonde woman's offer to bring her to the base she worked at, Sakura immediately stood up, continuing to look at Lin. "I agree. This is not really the best place to discuss these matters," Sakura agreed, keeping her arm on her ribs as she began to follow Lin to the exit of the hospital. I don't sense any sort of malice in her...yet she's bitter somehow, Sakura frowned, taking note of the glint of anger in Lin's eyes, as well as the tone of bitterness on her voice.

(OOC: Last post for the night)

Seeing that Sakura decided to come along quietly, Lin proceded to check her out of the hospital. Before they left, the doctor from before gave Sakura a card, telling her it was from the 'White Tiger'. Anger flashed on Lin's face for only a second, knowing that it was from Gaiden. Getting to her motorcycle, Lin handed the young officer a helmet for her to wear. After Sakura made herself secure in the motorcycle's sidecar, she started the engine and started back towards MAXI HQ. Turning to Sakura for moment, she turned back to the road and spoke loud enough so that Sakura could hear her.

"I'll start with the basics. Those monsters that you encountered are called Demon Beasts. They are humans who have had their DNA altered and combined with animal DNA, changing them into killing machines. They are very aggressive and show no mercy, so don't give any to them." Lin's voice still retained that bitterness, though now there was some anger thrown in as well.

Pushing both the bed sheet and blanket, Sapphira blushed furiously that her original clothing had been replaced with the standard hospital gowns. The young girl couldn’t help, but questioned noting the time displayed on the clock mounted upon the wall. It was best to assume that she couldn’t have been unconscious at least for an hour (or so) for there was still daylight outside. If not taking another glance at the food left for her within the room, Sapphira would have probably gone without eating (if it had not been for her stomach growling once more.) Moving so that her legs dangled out of the hospital bed, Sapphira reached for the silver plate and silverware. Normally the thought of eating hospital food was repulsive, but given that she had eaten for awhile that did not matter.

After having her fill, Sapphira arose from the bed and walked towards the front door. Her theory of being inside a hospital was accurate. Moving along the corridors were people dressed in what appeared to be medical physicians and nurse outfits. What had appeared to be out of place that there were neither patients nor visitors roaming the hospital’s corridors.

“The new arrival tests have come in from the lab†A woman’s voice started to grow louder from a distance. Pulling away from the door Sapphira kept in constant watch.

“And?†Another (male) voice replied. Coming down from the right side of Sapphira’s room were a middle-aged man and woman in medical physician uniforms.

“The girl’s data has come back with interesting results.†The woman handed a manila envelope over with a satisfactory smile. The man continued to examine the results as the walked further down the corridor. A smirked grew upon his face, flipping the second page.

“Quite interesting indeed†The man noted, “An offspring. Though this information is all quite fascinating my dear, but would you perchance have any more then this?†his hand slapped against the documents. “Hm?â€

“The girl was found unconscious and was unable to do any further analysis.†The rest of their conversation was muffled as they walked over to the nearby nurses’ station. With what Sapphira had overheard, it was more then what she had wanted and more terrified. Slumping into the further corner of the room, the blonde-hair girl curled up.

“… need to get out of here….†her voice whispered.

Sakura listened intently as Lin began to explain to her about the Demon beasts, of how they are humans with altered DNA, and of how she should not show any mercy to them in the battlefield. However, Sakura noticed a rather uneasy feeling remain in her heart as she listened, taking note of the vengeful tone in Lin's voice. Show no mercy......does that mean she lost someone she loved to a Demon Beast? she wondered, a perplexed and worried look evident on her face
