Yuki wants to meet the original astronaut from NASA, who is also Amanogawa High School's principal 我望光明 (Red-Eyed Man).

Let's think about this: putting aside this man's motives, why would an ex-astronaut suddenly become a high school principle? Those two things are so dissimilar.

I think the red-eyed man might be similar to Ryubee, trying to help people but doing it the wrong way.

Ryubee was helping nobody but his delusions of grandeur. What would be the benefit of having everyone be compatible with a Gaia Memory anyway? You could just get the Bio Port thing implanted onto you anyway.

Sometimes villains are just plain evil, no matter how much they claim to want to help humanity. You wouldn't say Hitler "went about helping people the wrong way" by advocating a master race. (Something Ryubee in essence was doing by forcing Memory compatibility onto people)

I probably said it the wrong way. I meant like Ryubee, some evil people think they are right and helping people, but they're actually wrong.

His armor reminds me of G3-X's.

From that image his belt kinda looks like an old version of Bop It.

- A Beak Shield forms in front of the face, controlling drag in high-speed flight and storing oxygen inside. Due to this supplemental oxygen supply, OOO can continue to fly in extremely high altitudes without fear of hypoxia.
- The armor on the face has become more advanced, as well as more in-tune with the movement of the atmosphere around it. Line Drives have piled up alongside the armor, helping to cushion the head against heavy wind pressure.

Not essentially. It could very well be something along the lines of this:

As he grows older, his resolve to go back into space wanes and wanes until his former career is nothing but past glory. A school approaches him and asks him to be a teacher thanks to his previous experiences with the space program. It's also worth noting he could've already had a teaching degree and became an astronaut for some reason or another. The school hires him, he becomes an excellent teacher, and eventually becomes principal. This last part is extremely plausible, as it happened to a former teacher from high school.

Since in the prologue, we saw Kengo's father fighting with an astronaut over a suitcase of astro switches, could that unknown astronaut actually be the Red-Eyed Man?

Btw, in the picture you can clearly see a frame of the Red-Eyed Man in an astronaut suit behind Yuki.

Where did you read this and what are O Quartz and Line Drives?

That's from OOO's official site. O Quartz is the gem on Tajador's head, IIRC, and Line Drives are the lines going from the various armor parts to Tajador's chest emblem. They're supposed to carry energy from the medals to the other body parts.
