Kamen Rider DYNAMITE ~Re-Mix~

Kimiden

Great Sage-Equal of Heaven
In 2001, I sat down and wrote a fanfic which made it's way to the forums of KamenRider.net; Kamen Rider Dynamite.

I only managed to flesh out the first three episodes before it died out and I've always wanted to finish it or do a re-imagining. Last night I managed to sit down and finally flesh out the opening scene that has been going through my head for the past year or so and I felt that I'd share it with you guys.

I haven't written a fanfic in years but I figure this would be an occasion worth me going back to it. I'll be adding to it as I find the time, hopefully it turns out well :P

Prologue

“It's so hot..”

The phrase goes through his head over and over, having lost its meaning in the process. It was now his exhale.

The weathermen said to expect a heavy blizzard the entire day, it was already nightfall and it showed no signs of letting up. People hurried home, children rejoiced at the thought of a snow day. All he could think of was the heat.

“It's so hot...”

Tattered clothes and a stained white cloak, that's all he wore. To the rest of the people in the storm, he looks like an “underprivileged” man. “Poor guy”, they think, “Hell of a time to be without a home.” He doesn't notice any of their gawking or comments, all he can hear is the same phrase over and over in his head as he breathes hard like he's caught in a heat wave.

“It's so hot...”

He finds his way to the docks, ice cold waves crashing against the pier. He looks to to the horizon, barely visible due to the blizzard. He falls to his knees, sweat dripping from his brow and breathing heavy. The inferno his body feels right now is too much to bear. Then it flashes. The pain, The cars. The lights. The girl. And him. The one responsible for getting him into this mess. He holds his head as the images mesh together with the rising body heat. His mouth goes dry, dying of thirst. Dying for cold. The cold that he can't even feel right now.

“It's so hot...”

He reaches to the horizon, as if he could take a chunk out of it and pull it back for his own. He calls out a name and tries to get up but not before slipping on an ice patch and landing on his back.

Worst blizzard of the year they called it. It doesn't bother him right now. He lies there in a crater in the now, his arms stretched out as if he was making a snow angel and the the snow around him completed melted and turned to water. He closes his eyes. It's the only thing he can do.

“It's so hot...”
