Here is something interesting that I hope someone finds and translates so that we an all enjoy it. There is a novel series out in Japan which explores the idea that Hongo was the only Kamen rider ever, and starts in 1971. Apparently the author was curious aboiut how much the sereis changed due to Fujioka's accident on the set, and wondered what it would be like if there was no Rider 2 ect. It's called "仮面ライダー誕生1971" or roughly translated, (I've been using google for this) Kamen Rider- Birth 1971. It looks very good acording to Amazon.jp someone please find a copy and translate it.
