Kamen Rider Apeji-O

The streets lingered with the smell of smoke and cheap perfume. It was the big night for the Northernend Orchestra. They did better than expected, many people would of been pleased. It if it wasn't for the fact less than a quarter of the seats were filled. Instead, only a few true fans of the music arrived and took notice. The rest of the stadium was filled with sleazy men trying to impress sleazy women. But for Ryan it didn't matter. It was a good night for him.

"You did good kid." Joseph said, patting Ryan on his back. Backstage, everyone was packing up. They knew noone would really show except a few loved ones that they dragged. It's been a harsh decade for real music. The radio waves have been infected by the pop culture and now only Pop music, Technobabble, and all that fruity stuff remains. True musicians such as Ryan and Joseph, were left to play the instruments of the dead. Ryan himself played the Violin. He was only second chair, but Joseph, his mentor, friend, and rival, was leaving soon. Meaning that Joseph's first chair position would go to Ryan.
"Thanks Joseph." Replied Ryan. "You did really great too."
Joseph smiled gently and left the room.

"You really did do good. Especially if he's impressed." Whispered a voice in his ear.
"Yeah. But he's always telling me that I did good. He's a nice guy". Ryan replied to the voice, unalarmed.
"Hey Ryan?"
"Yeah Yama?"
"Can I come out?"
"Sure. Just, don't be too much trouble 'kay?"

And with that, Ryan's voice seemed to fade, and a hint of purple light seemed to glow around him, but it quickly subsided. Now, what was previously short brown hair, had become a straightened medium length size with a five streaks of dark purple lined up on the back of his head. Ryan stood up with his violin tucked away inside his locker and left the room with sunglasses on. He smirked as he left the building.

A few miles out, Yama-Ryan was drinking a beer next to a lovely looking young lady in a bar. "So. You tell me first, and I'll tell you second. Where are you ticklish?"
The girl giggled and whispered in his ear, then giggled some more. She was obviously drunk, but that didn't seem to take away from her innocence. Ryan's voice seemed to echo inside Yama-Ryan's head. "Hey. Don't get any funny ideas. You know I hate it when you have sex in my body. And if you must, at least use a condom this time. Seriously."
Yama-Ryan smiled and continued to seduce the pretty girl...

A few feet away, an old man, heavily drunk, murmered to himself, "What a fuc'hic'n' ass.... He thinks... he.. can get any.. lady..?" Noone sat near him since he literally reeked of alcohol. "I bet.. I bet I can, could, would, get, could, a lay-girl like me that like that..." He stumbled over his own silly thoughts and so stumbled over his own silly words.
As he continued to mumble jibberish, a small yellow light spun around him. It was watching him, judging him, and then. It struck him. Only, instead of hurting him, it merely merged inside. A few moments later sand started to pour out of the man's shirt sleeve. It accumulated on the table he sat at. Slowly it pulled together and formed a figure. A head. This head, without a mouth, spoke.
"Dear man, you hideous and grotesque smelling thing!" It grabbed the man's attention. It seemed to sober him up too.
"I shall grant you any wish you desire! I only ask that in return you grant me time."
The man was staring with slightly sobered eyes and gaping mouth. "You mean. Anything?"
The head made of sand was agitated. "Yes. Anything."
"Well then" the drunk old man said. "I want that." He pointed at the lovely looking lady, a few feet away from him. "I want her..."
The head turned to face it's victim, as the sand pulled harder up, giving the head a neck, followed by a chest, torso, arms, legs, until. It was complete. A full figure of a creature. It had deathly red skin, and black armor wrapped around his left shoulder, spiraling down to his hand. His Left leg was designed similiarly. His face was disgusting, resembling a mixture of a skull and a cobra.

It took it's first solid step toward the lady. But then took a quick halt when it noticed who she spoke with. A man with the scent that resembled his own. An Imajin. It was a shame that he had no mouth, because otherwise you would of seen the sinister smile he had gave.

He shot his right arm in her direction, the spirals unwrapping at once, being thrust toward her. The latched onto her fragile body and quickly laced themselves around her. They tightened and he pulled her back. He then quickly turned and tossed her at the old man. Then, the old man froze, and split in two. He had opened up and the cobra creature walked slowly towards the man. He turned around for a moment to take in what he just did. The Imajin smelling man he just stole the girl from had already taken offense, rushing towards him. The creature laughed and ran into the portal created by the drunken man.

Yama-Ryan screamed. "Damn it!"
Ryan spoke first. "Quickly, back to the MeloD-Liner!"
"Wait! I gotta get the date first!"
"Well, Hurry!"

Yama-Ryan moved fast, he placed a blank ticket card against the old man's ears, and ran off. The date began to appear on the ticket. - September 29th 2005 -

Yama-Ryan had reached the inside of a train, and quickly, Yama had removed himself. Ryan had returned to helm his body and turned and faced his friend. "Yama. Ready?"
Yama had dark purple skin and armor that surrounded him. He was obviously based off of a raven. His arms were stocked with black feathers and his face was hideous. He nodded.
"Good" Ryan turned back around and headed for the head of the train. He revealed his belt under his shirt, on his waist. On the left side of his waist was a buckle, he grabbed it with his right hand as he walked through the doors and corridors, he then slid it forward to face the front. Now revealed, was a set of four buttons, placed around a circular LED Lens. He pressed the purple one on the top corner, and shouted "HENSHIN!". A melody played as he simultaneously, he let go of the buckle, letting it slide back into place. The LED lens shone purple, and they were visible through the clear buckle's clear window. Ryan had grabbed the buckle again, but this time pulled it up and out of it's handle. He slid the Ticket-Card with the date from the old man into it and walked into a small room. As he walked in, his body grew hot and a purple glow had come back to surround him. His body was quickly encased in a black suit, made of protective leather like material, then in armor. His face was hidden behind a mask that surrounded his entire face and head. He headed towards a motorcycle which had been placed in the middle of the room, and lifted his leg and hopped on. Sliding the card that was now inside the buckle, into the motorcycle. As Ryan settled himself down, purple fragments of additional armor appeared all around him and latched onto his already placed suit. Then a small Train like armament appeared from behind his skull, as it traveled up and down in front of his face, settling down, forming a facial mask. With the voice of Yama, he shouted " Ready or not! Here I come! Kamen Rider Apeji-O!"

----This was meant to be a one-shot. I might write out what happens after he goes to the past... who knows.----

His name is Apeji-O, a play on Arpeggio. A musical term. It's obviously music based. :3

The MeloD-Liner swiftly traveled through what seemed like an endless dessert. Any experienced Time-Traveler however, would know that this "dessert" is actually a physical manifestation of time. Everflowing, neverending, time.

Inside, in another train section, a man with a black suit with red pinstripes sat at what seemed to be a bar chair. He was young and sharp looking, with his hair pulled back with grease and a red tye accenting his atmosphere. "Another trip to through time I see." His words echoed empty in the compartment. Nobody was there to hear what this very important looking man had to say.
Obviously he couldn't be all that important.

He was known to many as the wandering traveler. But to Ryan and Yama, he was usually called Mr. Harrison. Someone who came from far into the future, and the same man who presented Ryan with the Apeji-O belt, a MeloD Pass, and even introduced him to Yama.

No-one for sure knows Mr. Harrison's intent on doing so, but being that he's from the future, he obviously knows more than anyone from the present, or rather, his past.

Perhaps he was someone of a much greater importance who lost alot of power and thus had to come to the past to retrieve it, or better yet, protect his assets before they were ruined.

All that Yama cared about was that he got to have fun, lots of sex, and fight for justice.

All that Ryan cared about was having something to do that made him feel useful, unlike playing music for people who never even cared to listen to.

Mr. Harrison. A man who brought power and a wealth of the future's technology, just to make two people, Yama, and Ryan, very happy with their lives.

One must wonder however. Is Mr. Harrison happy? He spends his days endlessly on the time traveling train. Why does he not simply help himself? Why ask these two strangers to do a hero's work?

Mr. Harrison smiles as he brings a glass of clear Russian Vodka to his lips.

Ah, and now we meet MeloD-Liner's version of the Owner. Young, prim and possibly quite business-educated, he looks to be a character with antagonistic potential as well as being the benefactor of our hero. Nice introduction to the character, I wonder, does MeloD-Liner have a Naomi as well?

"Approaching temporal destination, September 29th, 2005."

Kamen Rider Apeji-O replied to the computer in acknowledgment, "Got it."

-September 29th, 2005.-

The cityscape was breathtakingly beautiful. The skyscrapers were far beyond just "scraping" the skies. They were inhabiting it, living amongst the clouds. Anyone who were on the top floors would be able to explain to you how beautiful it was there. It was like being a god amongst the many men who worked under you. A man could truly feel on top of the world in there. And so, he did. Mr. Victor Valentine, a good name for anyone who wanted to achieve power. Of course, he already had. He was well beyond the name's attractive charm. Now he was a wise business man who had succumbed to the oldest trick time had, age.

He had just recently celebrated, or rather forced himself through, his 48th birthday. He had been the CEO for a whole year now of the company he owned, and here he was, top dog. His wife and kids were at home, a few hundred miles off. He preferred to keep his family life and his business life seperated enough so that he can concentrate on the two independently. Well. That was just the tip of the iceberg of lies he lived on. He also preferred to not be worried by the possibility of his wife randomly waltzing in when he was waltzing in someone else.

"Mr. Valentine, you have a call on line two."
The CEO turned around in his chair, swiveling, to face the intercom system.
"Understood, patch them through the office comm system." He paused for a millisecond, "Oh, and I'll be wanting another meeting with you in private Miss Clarissa."
Victor's ears twitched when he heard a slight giggle before the comm systems were switched over to his other call.

"Mr. Valentine!" A hearty voice boomed through the speakers.
"Ah! Sir! I didn't realize line two would be you! I expect someone as important as you to only come through on my line one!" Victor was quick to lie, it might of been cheesy, but a compliment where you suck up and kiss ass always works in the business world. It shows how much lower you are from them, and makes them like you more. Like an owner loving it's dog.

"Victor, my favorite CEO. I would like to talk about that promotion you asked about. And yes, I know you've only been a chief for just the year, but you're right, that company you're at is much too small for a great business man like yourself!"
Victor was speechless. But it wasn't because it was a surprise. It was because he was literally unable to talk. Out of every pore in his body came sand. An almost endless amount of sand. It leaked out, poured it, exploded out almost. It all gathered at his feet and moved with a mind of it's own untill it grew and collected into a figure, a body. It was the creature from the future, the hideous Imajin.

It forced itself into reality as it watched the body of Victor fall. The Imajin spared no time, it thrust itself through the windows and leapt out into the city, it knew that the Kamen Rider was chasing it's tail.

...

"Victor?" The voice still came through the comm systems. "What was that noise?" Concern started to rise, "Victor. Listen. If you take this job, that will mean you'll have to leave for Las Vegas right away, and there will be living arrangements but only enough for you, not your family. Understood?"
A pause seemed to take an eon when really it was only a few minutes.
"Victor! Answer me this instant!...."

...

The Imajin was wreaking havoc unto the city, finding large bridges and swiping the support from under them. The collateral effect it had on the time stream was devastating. In the present day, thousands of civilians were being crushed under cement and stone that was once the bridges that they had long driven on. The very fabrics of time and space were unfolding. And it was much more terrifying when a large rip in physical space appeared. What most of the onlookers didn't realize was that this rip in space time was not something to be feared. "READY OR NOT!" A large train began to materialize from it. "HERE I COME!"

The large and impressive time train, the MeloD-Liner came crashing through space-time to apprehend this villian. Apeji-O leapt out from the train and landed right behind the Imajin. The monster had barely took warning from Apeji-O's battle cry. It continued to rampage the cityscape.

"Look here villian!" Shouted the voice of Yama, "It looks like you're as ignorant as your face is ugly!"
This rude remark got the Imajin's attention, "Really?" hissed the creature, "Because you're pretty hideous looking too, why don't you remove that halloween costume you freak of an Imajin!"
Their was a fire burning between the two, but it was ridiculous to see them acting like grade schoolers, throwing names at each other, claims of having a rubber body and a glue one and the such.
"Yama!", shouted a distant voice, "Yama! Stop being a brat and take that Imajin down!"
"Alright already!", Yama shouted back.

"Alright then. Since you're not very good at making good comebacks or insults, tell you what. Since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give you all the time you need. Deal?" And with out a single second after that wasted, Yama had thrusted his body into the fight.

His fingers quickly worked around the weapons that latched onto his right hip, he pulled them off and tossed them up.

The Imajin had also began his attack, pushing himself past Apeji-O, quickly spinning around and then throwing a right hook at Apeji-O's ribcage. The contact was brief but painful. For the Imajin.
It was incredible. All that force that went into hurting the Kamen Rider, but the pain deflected off of the armor and instead, injured the Imajin. This was only a reminder of how much more pain he must inflict on the Kamen Rider who was slowly but surely insulting him in every way possible.

Apeji-O fell to the floor on all fours, getting close to the earth, then pushed himself off. In mid-air he grabbed onto the weapons he had thrown up, re-arranged them, and showed off what he had in store for the Imajin. "This is why they call me the Twin Dagger Form."

With amazing speed and precision, every slash slice landed on the Imajin's hide. The Imajin couldn't believe it was so weak. Finally, the Imajin broke off the attack, bringing out a chain whip.

Quickly, the lashes came like lightning, giving Kamen Rider Apeji-O a hard time getting close. Each strike sent pain to Ryan's body, which wasn't the sturdiest. If it wasn't for the armor, Ryan would surely be dead.

Yama had enough, he leapt backward, giving himself some room, then announced " This is the last attack, " He brought his daggers up, holding them so the blade faced down, rather than up, "Final Hit! Twin Dagger Style!"

In a flash, the Imajin was on the ground. Within the swinging hands of the clock, Apeji-O moved swift and sure, passing between each whip-lash, coming close enough to see his own reflection in the Imajin's black eyes. His daggers all the work after that, carving away at the armor, it was no kid show fight scene, this was the brutal death sentence from a rated R movie.

The Imajin could barely whimper as it slowly vanished into the sands of which it came.

Kamen Rider Apeji-O had set his weapons back into place, and his armor dismantled itself, quickly dissolving into the dimensions between time where all things hide.

The train dashed to him, and flung open it's doors. Ryan limped a little as he hopped on board. "Destination. Home."

He was tired. And the night was over. For him at least. When he gets back to where he started, the night barely had begun. But for him. It was definitly over. It was time to sleep...

...

In a hospital bed, miles deep in the city, a man lied there, sound asleep untill awoken by a plastic yellow truck hitting his head. "What the... Oh. Charles.."
Victor's son had accidently dropped his toy on his sleeping father, his mother would normally of scolded him, but instead, she set him on the ground and took her husband into her arms. "Don't you scare us again like that!" She was sobbing heavily, soaking his gown, " The Doctors didn't know what happened! you're secretary had no idea what to do and called 911, and thank God nothing was wrong with you."

"Yeah. Thank God" A man's voice came from behind the curtains. "At first I was thinking you were ignoring me man. Good thing I called up Secretary whats-her-face to check on you. "

"Sir... I'm sorry. But you were saying something about a promotion?"
"Yes. But you would have to leave you're family to go to Las Vegas alone."
"Sir. I decline." Victor sat up straight, " I don't know what happened, but," His eyes met with his wife's. " I can't leave my family when they've been here caring for me like this the whole time. I want to stay here, I don't care what kind of job promotion you offer, I won't leave my loving family. Not anymore."

"Good."
"Sir?"
"Victor. I'm a family man. My father was the one that got me to where I am. I would hate to see you leave your family to gain what you thought was power." The large man stood tall, and the way the light fell on him, made him look majestic. " I was going to fire you if you took that job. But not till after you reached Las Vegas." He smiled, looking more saint-like. "Son, you know I love you. But I will not have my grandson be left without a father who loves him as much as his grandfather loved his son. So..."

With a great hug, "You will be staying right where you are. But come the day I can't be the greatest boss in the world, that's when you take my job. Okay?"

"Yeah. Dad." Tears swelled up, and it was hard to swallow the guilt he felt, "Thanks..."

-Present Day-

Ryan hit the snooze button on his alarm for the third time that morning. He couldn't care what the radio had to say. But it kept trying to wake him up...
"Today on Business Watch, The CEO of Valentine and Son Co. given up his position in power to his son, Victor, who is currently CEO of both Valentine and Son Co. and SolarFlare Industries. It is rumoured that Frankie, Victor's son, has been setup to inherit SolarFlare Industries when he is of age."
And so the radio continued to blab facts at a heavily snoring Ryan.
