Igadevil
Mr. Kamen Rider
Aside from having some wacky designs, I think Stronger is pretty straightforward. It's moreso that it runs into the same problem a lot of the none-franchise Ishinomori shows had (the Kikaidas come to mind) of having a very simple episodic formula for most of the series (Good guys drive through some place, inevitably meet the bad guys, they fight, Good guys win) compared to the earlier shows, which spiced it up a lot more with rotating villains (and cast members, etc.) What really keeps it going is the villain bickering and Shigeru being such a badass, and particularly, the potential Tackle represents, if not Tackle herself (although I do like Tackle all the same.) Also, the last couple episodes? Solid gold.
And:
[HIDE]I find the episode where Tackle dies to be amazingly depressing for a 70's series.[/HIDE]
I think Super-1 is the silliest of the early shows, at least in the second half. But then again, someone actually exists who told FK it was the darkest one, so I guess it takes all kinds.
