Kamen Rider Agito's motif is a dragon?!

Ya, Agito was based on a chinese dragon.
I have never seen a kuwagata beetle with 6 horns

Plus the very next series (Ryuki) has a dragon motif. They wouldn't do the same motif twice in a row would they?

Ryuki was originally planned as a Metal Hero show, so I doubt Toei had Agito in mind when they started picking the theme and designs for it.

And later on, they decided to bring Ryuki and Agito together for the Hyper Battle Video.

This is how I think that meeting went down.

Toei producer: So, our designer wants to do another dragon based Rider for '02.

Toei executive: Okay, okay...wait, "another"?

Toei producer: Yeah, Agito, the show just wrapping up -- he's a dragon.

Toei executive: Get the F out! I thought he was a beetle!

Toei producer: That's what a lot of people think. That's why Ryuki being a dragon shouldn't matter.

I believe it was the Classical Golden Dragon, which is also referred to as the Emperor Dragon or possibly Dragon God. Wouldn't suprise me since Good and Evil have a deathmatch in the series...

Some idiot edited the motif page and typed in Agito's motif as a stag beetle a while back.

Edit: It's changed back to Chinese Dragon now.
