Kamen Rider Agito - Talk Up!

Religious symbolism and concepts yes.

[hide]Then there's the fact that the main villain is a god who created humanity and the monsters are his angels.[/hide]

Kino-san, NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Kino-san's fucking batshit crazy and currently chasing me, Gills, and this kid on our bike!

The guy's a gorram doctor, for Cybertron's sake! What the **** is his problem?!?!? Agito, HEEELLLLP!!! :bawling:

These run of episodes with Kino-san are a real "page" turner. I can't stop watching, but I got chores to hit up.

Shoichi's revealing his identity and Gills just got a new form which is awesome. Great fights, great saga, great drama, and great justice.

Here's for hoping the Riders can knock some sense into Kino.

For my money Gills is the single best organic monsterous style of Kamen Rider design. Loved the G3 suit as well. Agitos Ground Form is not bad, but I kinda prefer Kuuga's design and his various forms to Agitos.

I read some of the earlier posts about the fights. J-Caizer, if you don't mind getting 2-cents from the newbie here, I almost wonder if maybe some of the problem is the same that I had where it's not so much the fighting choreography or staging or direction, as the length actual of them. I often found myself getting kind of annoyed with Agitos very strict format of having the fights occur at the very tail end of one episode and finishing up before the OP in the next.

When it comes to fights, I like both the styles used on these shows and also the crazy wirework stuff like you find in Tai-Chi Master, considering superpowers, superphysics, and genre stylization are at work anyways.

I don't have a problem with a Kamen Rider "flying" until they are flying in the strictist sense like Superman. I'm prolly one of the biggest Superman fans you'll find on this planet but for him it works. Okay, so you can prolly tell I'm not a SkyRider fan.

Give Skyrider a chance, everybody thinks the flying thing was just ripped off from the Superman movie. Which it was, but damn if it isn't awesome. I'd say Skyrider does it even more awesomely than even Superman, but I'm biased.

You know who else is awesome? Another Agito.

It was the execution of the fight choreography at first. I'm sorry, but I can't call it good when they move like that. Where you can see one person wait for the other's move so they can react.

Still... I haven't seen much sloppiness since the beginning and most of the fights have been quite good. I only remember seeing one kick from Gills that was looking like they were doing a practice run, but that's about it.

Gills is defiantely my favorite character, although I find the actor ugly as stuffnjunk. I also like the Gills suit most of all too, even though when I first saw it I thought it was cheap looking... now it's one of my favorite designs period. I still have yet to find out how he's got powers when it was his father involved in the "incident."

Also, I'm not down with the Second Opening Theme. I really liked the first and the second seems like some kinda cheap disco version of the first. :P

I'm coming close to the end so I'm going to hold off a bit.

I'm looking forward to the movie tho. So far nearly all KR Movies have disappointed me and I hear G4 is actually good. Wait..... G...4?! I just caught that! Go, Hikawa-san!!!! :buttrock:

I can definately relate here. I liked Gills and G3 enough that I ultimately came away from the show wishing it was either one of them as the title character rather than Shouichi/Agito. Kamen Rider G3 would have been a perfect way to follow up Kuuga. I think it would have been intresting seeing the mysteries of the show through the eyes of the mortal Rider who doesn't henshin. I really like Gills alot, but he gets knocked out so much.

..and speaking of designs how about those Unknown? Easily some of the best looking kaijin in all of Rider.

Igadevil: Nobody does flying more awesomely than Superman, but hey I'm also biased.
