Kaiki Daisakusen 2nd File

[Barom 1]

Has anyone seen Kaiki Daisakusen 2nd file yet? It is a 3 episode series from Tsuburaya that started last week. Episode 1 is directed by Shimizu Takashi (Ju-on/Grudge), episode 2 is directed by Kitaura Tsugumi (3rd Cosmos movie) and episode 3 is directed by Nakata Hideo (Ringu).

I've downloaded the first two episodes but still need to watch them. I just wonder, is this a remake or a continuation of the original? ... or are they completely unrelated?

It's a remake, not a continuation..although there are some homages (i.e the original ending theme being used in BGM, etc).

I was sort expecting to be creeped out a little bit but it never really happened in the first episode. Maybe the next one will do the trick.

Hopefully these wll do well enough to warrant a new series.
