~Prologue~
1949, 4 years after the end of WWII
Japan was in chaos after the Pacific War. They had slowly begun to rebuild their economy, but their society was changing thanks to the US occupation and the decline of the militarism Japan were proud of for so long. To some masters of ancient martial arts, the WWII Japanese were misusing the sacred techniques and philosophy for the wrong purposes. One of these martial artists, Juji Tetsuo, lived in a small hut on the outskirts of Tokyo. He was 22 but already had a wife. He woke up one morning to his usual routine: pray, eat breakfast, train. But one day, in the middle of his training something unusual happened. Bright glimmers of light surrounded the memorial shrine and cross at the front of the Tetsuos' residence. Juji rushed to see what it was. The light blinded him and he could not see for a few minutes. He heard a voice. "Juji, you will soon begin a mission from God. Hold out your hands." Juji did as the voice said, and he felt something light but hard land in his hands. "This is the Sun Badge, which will be the key to preventing Japan's power from ever being misused again. Give it to your son when he is old enough. Train your son in martial arts. He will need it. The badge holds the key to becoming the Warrior of Bravery, but without the proper training its powers aren't good enough. Now go, complete your training and lead your son to becoming Jutsuman."
Juji was passed out for an hour or so before his wife awoke him. Juji was silent despite his wife's many worries about his condition.
Meanwhile, in the remains of a bunker Japan was using during the battle of Iwo Jima, something sinister was occuring.
