It's Judgement Time!
Dude, I went downstairs for breakfast and I saw my mom watching Power Rangers! It was the SPD episode on ABC Kids where Sky and Wutox switch bodies (recognition). How freaking kewl is that?

Traditionally mothers don't watch geek cool things on their own.... usually romantic trash or shows about knitting.... so yeah, it's cool to see a mother watching a show about drop kicking monsters on her own.

Nice.

exactly! Exactly. I thought that was really kewl catching Power rangers on the TV and her watching it. I mean, I will admit PR isnt the best show out there. It doesnt have the best writing but I still love it.

But my mom is a bit differant as she also likes Anime. Shes into alot of them like Zatch Bell and Yugioh and whatever Anime I happen to buy on DVD. So you know, if I really wanted I could attempt to get her into Sentai or Toku. Since that feels like Anime half the time. I might try eventually when I see one thats just really good.

Because Toku and anime are alike but they are differant in that they have differant agendas. Anime appeals to a broader audience because it tries harder (sometimes) to give you a good story. Where as Toku tries harder to sell toys than to give you a good story. So the story always plays out as a means to introduce new items or things that they market as toys. Where as Anime doesnt do that as much. They just sell you character personas so they can sell that character on a towel or poster or music cd for you to buy.

I guess mothers these days like what their kids like no matter what age. Unless it just plan rediculous like cross-dressing. My mom and grandma used to watch wrestling, transformers, all the batman shows and pr.
