Joe Higashi Returns in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – Tornados, and a Biopic

I am really happy they decided to bring Joe Higashi back in a way that feels meaningful. For too long he was treated like a supporting character while Terry got all the spotlight. Now he not only gets new moves but also a storyline centered on him. I like how they show him older instead of pretending time never moves. The glasses detail is small but it makes him feel like a real veteran fighter. Having a student like Preecha also gives him depth because it means he is passing on his skills, not just fighting forever. I am looking forward to trying his Tiger Hurricane Swing and seeing how it changes his combos.

The free DLC system makes this game easier to enjoy. Other fighting games charge for every character and it becomes expensive. Here, buying just the base game and unlocking everyone else is fair. Joe being included in that free system is proof the developers want people to actually use him and not just ignore him.

I really hope there is going to be a Season 2. I have been hearing a lot of rumors that this game did not do well in sales at first, and that made me nervous about its future. But I feel like after Ken and Andy Bogard were released, more people started paying attention again, and the numbers probably improved. The free DLC model also helps, since it encourages players to stick around. This game has so much potential, and it would be a waste if the developers stopped here. I still want to see Blue Mary, Yamazaki, Arthur, and many others make their return. There is still a big pool of characters who can keep the roster fresh and exciting. Season 1 already showed how much they can mix things up with guests and returning fighters, so I believe Season 2 can push it even further. For me, City of the Wolves feels like the beginning of something, not the end, so I hope the developers see the same future I do.

I like the idea of characters aging in Fatal Fury. It gives the series more weight. If everyone stays the same age forever, the story loses impact. By making Joe older and giving him a student, the game creates a feeling of time passing. It also opens the door for new generations to continue the legacy later.

To me, the glasses are unnecessary. Joe was already serious enough when he wanted to be. Adding them only to show age feels a little forced. I would have preferred if they gave him a scar, gray hair, or something that looks natural.
