Jinzo Ningen Kikaider - Talkback

Orange Ant actually KILLING someone by blasting him was pretty good. Something I find current Toku is lacking.

Professor Gill freaks the hell outta me.

Did you recognize the guy he takes out in the beginning of the episode? Yamaguchi Akira! That orange sonnuvabitch killed Riderman!

Gill is awesome, he's so crazy. Ando was one of the great classic villain actors, I bet he died the same way he lived- laughing at Ban Daisuke!

I didn't notice it was Riderman until I looked through the Special Features section. I thought that was pretty cool.

Also, Isn't Hanpei the same guy who wen't on to be the comedy relief in the Space Sheriff Trilogy?. I swear it's gotta be the same guy.

I love it when Gill plays his flute and tries to get Jiro to return to DARK. Very awesome stuff there.

What sucks for me is everytime I look at my wall in my room I see a big Hakaider motorcycle poster and it makes me loose patience to see him debut in the series. :170:

I notice there is alot of muderering of loved ones in Kikaider aswell. :buttrock:

By any chance that isn't Jiro Okamoto doing the Hakaider stunts is it?.

 No, Jiro's only been around since the mid-80s. A suit actor named Tetsuo Masuda played the series Hakaider (it seems that Masuda was also one of two suit actors who played Battle France, but that seems about it).

That's what I thought. I figured Okamoto was a youngster at the time Kikaider was airing in Japan. But the size of the dude doing the stunts is pretty thick, Jiro thick. Which is what caught me off guard and got me thinking it was Okamoto.

I gotta say, I loved the part where Soburo didn't bother kidnapping Masaru because he thought it was pathetic and went against Gill's orders and attacked the Star Fish Monster instead. Awesomeness.

I see The Hakaider character was very influential for future Toku Villians. Very cool.

I also love his theme song. HAKAIIIIIDAAAAAAAA!.

Completed the series and loved the hell out of it.

The 3D movie along with the glasses was so much fun to watch. Alot better than the crap Saban tried to pull with it's PRLR "3D" Movie, pfftt.

Excellent storyline in the series and I know we ain't seen the last of Hakaider.

So now I'm really pumped for the Kikaider 01 Boxset coming out this May.

Overall grade: A

Next series: Sun Vulcan
